Chapter 214
Zack grumbled, âWhy the hell is he honking? Weâre not in his way. Just because heâs got a fancy car, he thinks heâs hot shit.â
Abigail said, âOur car probably isnât even worth one of his tires. He really does have the right to be arrogant.â
Comelia couldnât get their attention by honking, so she rolled down her window and called out a few times, still no response. She had no choice but to get out and call them, âWhy are you guys ignoring me?â

Abigail said, âWeâve sent so many messages in the group chat, advising you not to waste money on unworthy men. Itâs you who are ignoring us.â
Comelia waved at them, âI mean right now, look back.â
Abigail turned around and saw her, âWhy are you in the parking lot?â
Cornelia patted the car next to her, wanting to share this gem with them, âI came to park.â
Abigail hung up the call and ran over, circling the car, feeling it up and down, âCornelia, donât tell me this car was gifted to you by your husband.â
âI wouldnât want his car.â Cornelia laughed, âThis is a company car. As long as I donât quit, I get to drive it.â
Abigail got in the driverâs seat, fondling the steering wheel, âCornelia, I suddenly really want to work at your company! If they can get me a car like this, Iâm willing to work overtime every day, even work for Marcus.â
Cornelia laughed, âYou always said Marcus was a jerk, now you think heâs a good guy?â
Abigail said, âThat was before I knew how handsome he is, and how generous he is. Have you heard me badâmouth him after meeting him?â
Zack, who had just finished parking, made a face, âItâs just a car. We can buy one ourselves if we earn the money. Can you guys have some ambition?â
Abigail asked, âAre you saying you donât want to test drive it?â
Zack said, âOf course I want to, but I wonât give in. Iâm telling you, Marcus is definitely not a good guy.â
Cornelia suddenly said seriously, âZack, Marcus is my boss. I genuinely respect him, so I donât want to hear either of you badâmouthing him anymore.â
Cornelia is rarely this serious with them, so when she is, they donât joke around, âAlright, we wonât say it anymore.â
Abigail quickly lightened the mood, âWhy keep bringing up other men. The three of us rarely get to go home together, letâs go grocery shopping and cook together.â
Cornelia nodded, âOkay, tonight each of us will make a dish weâre good at.â
They went to the supermarket and picked out the ingredients they needed for their dishes.
After buying the groceries, they went to the snack section to pick out snacks to munch on while painting in the evening,
Abigail grabbed a huge pile of chips in various flavors, Zack commented, âThese things have no nutritional value and are unhealthy. You guys should eat less junk food.â
Cornelia responded, âWe know chips arenât nutritious, but they are delicious and thatâs enough. Life is short. If we donât eat what we enjoy, whatâs the point of living?â
Abigail agreed, âCornelia is right!â
Zack said helplessly, âI canât control you guys.
