Chapter 962
Cornelia said, âLetâs drop the past.â
Leonardo asked, âThen can you tell me why you think sheâs
your sister?â
Comelia replied, âBecause sheâs my real sisterâ
Leonardo immediately imagined a complex family drama, âCould it be that Clair couldnât have children after marrying the Reese family, so they adopted a child. And now the kidâs real family has come looking.â
Cornelia asked, âBeen watching any new shows lately?â
Leonardo said, âIâve been hooked on a young actress recently. Her show is airing right now, and Iâve been binging it to show some support.â
Cornelia curiously asked, âWhatâs the show about?â
Leonardo replied, âItâs a drama about families and their loveâhate relationships.â
Cornelia didnât know what to make of his taste.
Leonardo got back to the previous topic, âCâmon, spill it. Did I guess it right?â
Cornelia replied, âDid you ever consider that Clair might be our real mother?â
Leonardo said, âNo way! They say life imitates art, but it seems life is more complicated than any drama. But how did Clair end up being your biological mother? She was so cold to you at Grangerâs birthday party. Did she know you were her daughter then?â
Cornelia gave a slight smile, âIf she hadnât known, maybe she wouldnât have gone to such lengths to be mean to me.â
Before, Cornelia couldnât figure out why Clair was so hostile towards her. After learning about their relationship, everything fell into place.
At this point, Leonardo fell silent.
Thanks to Leonardoâs help, the process of getting a new ID went smoothly. When it was their turn, it took only minutes.
When Cornelia saw Tahliaâs name on the new ID, she felt a little emotional.
From now on, she had a real sister.
Tahlia was still a bit dissatisfied, âLeo, can I throw away this old ID? I donât want to see anything related to the Reese family.â
Leonardo replied, âNow that we have your new ID, this old one is useless. Dispose of it however you want.â
Tahlia quickly said, âThen I want to cut it up.â
Cornelia nodded at her, âOkay, there will be no Natalia from now on.â
Tahlia hugged Cornelia tightly, âNelly, I really am your sister now. I feel like Iâm dreaming.â
Cornelia said, âMe too.â
Tahlia asked, âDo you have anything urgent to do now? If not, can we take a leisurely walk home?â
Cornelia nodded, âSure.â
The new lakeside district had a beautiful environment, wide streets, and many parks. From where they were, there was a lakeside park stretching for miles. Walking through the park not only provided exercise but the chance to appreciate various plants.
Leonardo firmly said, âIâm not walking.â
Cornelia said, âI didnât ask you to. You can drive home first, and stay for dinner. We can celebrate finding my sister and our moving to a new place.*
