Carla grinned âYeah, or what do you think?*
*No way! Iâm cool with the idea!â Diana agreed eagerly and they picked the time and restaurant.
âOkay, weâll see later then âCarla said and hung up.
âWhatâs that all about? Liam spoke up, glancing sideways at her.
She smiled Iâm having dinner with Diana tonightâ
âAre you up for it?â Liam asked.
*Of course! Iâm up for anything right nowâ She replied gaily.
âWhy did you want to see her anyway? You said you wanted to tell her something âHe asked, frowning.
She nodded âYeah, I have to inform her about the pregnancyâ
He eyed her âYou could have just told her on the phone when she called â
She rolled her eyes âNo Liam, itâs a face to face talk, I have to see her
This time, it was Liam who rolled his eyes âWhatever, when are you leaving? I can give you a ride â He offered, having her best interest at heart.
She shook her head and gave him a sweet smileâ No honey, Iâll manage just fineâ
His cheeks turned red at the name she called him and he coughed slightly âWhy?â
She shrugged No particular reason, i would like it better if Ben take me thereâ
He nodded, giving in to her decision âOkayâ
âI was planning on taking you out on a date until Mom butt in âHe looked somewhat annoyed.
âLiam!â She snapped at him.
âWhat?â He asked, staring at her from under his thick lashes.
She shook her headâ We can still go on that date you knowâ She intoned and regarded him under her long eyelashes.
He laughed âNo way! Two dates in a day?! Not gonna happen babyâ
âWhy?â She whined
He dropped the newspaper and crossed the distance between them in quick, long strides.
He got in the bed with her and closed the distance between them âI donât wanna stress you out Bella, Iâll make it up to you I promiseâ
*Though I didnât mean for this to happen and it wasnât my fault but Momâs âHe added softly.
Carla rolled her eyes âItâs all your fault Mr Blake, why didnât you inform me earlier that you wanted to take me out? Diana did nothing wrong, she was just fast in stating what she wantedâ
He put his hands up in surrender âOkay fine, itâs my fault, I admit itâ
âBetter âShe said and waved her hand in dismissal.
âWhat do you wanna do now?â He asked, looking interested.

She suddenly felt the need to throw up so she rushed into the bathroom, with Liam trailing after her. She vomited almost nothing as she hadnât eaten but still felt weak. Liam carried her gently back into the bedroom and laid her on the bed.
âHey âHe called softlyâ Are you okay?â
*Not too goodâ She admitted.
âHelp me with my phone please âShe added and watched him reach over to hand her the phone.
Liam watched her in concentration mixed with curiosity as she dialed a number. She stared straight ahead, not sparing him a glance.
âHello good morning, itâs Carla Blake callingâ She said when the person on the other end seemed to have picked up

a female obviously but who? It definitely didnât sound like Jennyâs voice so he got curious. He thought of the perfect time to ask and the opportunity presented itself when she looked in his direction.
He mouthed âWho is it?â
She rolled her eyes in reply and gestured for him to keep quiet.
âIâm fine Edwina, how about you?â She asked in a light tone and Liam frowned, since when did she meet an Edwina? He had no clue.
*Iâm good honey, Iâm good. Is Liamâs heir kicking? âEdwina asked and both Liam and Carla felt she was trying to hold back her giggle. Now Liam looked bewildered, who on earth was Edwina and how much did she know about them? Besides, how did she know Carla was carrying his baby?
Carla noticed his piercing gaze on her but she chose to ignore him.
She smiled, obviously not at Liam * Iâm good and yes whatever gender in there is kicking so well that Iâm starting to have issues âShe ended her words with a sigh
âWhy? Whatâs wrong with you?â Edwina asked in concern.
Iâve been really weird lately and she explained everything to Edwina who laughed after listening to Carla.
âEverything you said youâre experiencing is perfectly normal Carla, youâre okay âEdwina assured her.
Liam finally knew she was the doctor Carla went to see. It seemed to him like they had formed a friendship within the short period Carla met her. It would bade well for her, he decided.
âAre you sure? Carla asked softly, as though she needed the assurance.
*Of course! Cheer up girl and go give that man of yours a hard time, you made the baby together after all Edwina said, laughing and Carla echoed her, looking sideways to see Liamâs eyes had darkened to a deeper shade of their color.
*Yeah! * Carla said excitedly, totally agreeing with her.
âGo girl âEdwina hailed her and they both laughed heartily.
âThanks honey âCarla said gratefully, her mind now at peace.
âIâll see you later, huh?â She added with a giggle.
*Yeah and call me whenever you feel uncomfortable or something, okay? âEdwina said.
âSure, bye!â Carla said and dropped the phone.
