Chapter 68
The voice in her head questioned irritably by her choice of words. Yes, she repeated, it was all shackles holding her from living her life freely. Just like how she had envisioned before she got trapped in the marriage Got trapped or you signed up for this? The voice sneered and Carlo rolled her eyes anyways, even after knowing the voice said the pure truth. Whatever, she fired back and pushed the voice out. She showered and went into the Irving room to wait up for Liam.
Liam got home and met his wife sleeping soundly on the couch with her legs slightly apart. He got a hard on right there, just looking at her. He tapped her lightly by the shoulders and she woke up with a start.
âWhat was that?â She asked and rubbed her eyes with her palm.
He laughed âNothing princess, its just me âHe assured her and in one swift movement, he scooped her up in his arms effortlessly and headed outside.
âHey, where are you going?!â She asked in alarm and started to swing her legs helplessly
He laughed Chill princess, just relax, okay?â
She glared âHow do you expect me to be when youâre taking me to God knows whereâ
He silenced her with a sound kiss Trust me âHe said softly and looked straight into her eyes.
Carla nodded, still speechless by the kiss. They got outside and he placed her gently on a rocking chair. She watched him shoved his hands into his pockets and he seemed to concentrate on something far ahead
*Well?â She prompted and raised her eyebrows in question.
âWhy did you bring me out here when itâs so cold? She stared at him accusingly
He came towards her slowly and stood behind her. Carla strained her head to look up at him.
âLiam Blake, I believed I asked you a questionâ She crossed her arms under her breasts.
He bent down to her height âRelax, I bet youâll love it âHe whispered into her.
She rolled her eyes in disbelief and waited for the magic it seemed like he wanted to perform.
âLook up at the sky, Bellaâ He whispered and Carla looked up like he said and immediately gasped. It was indeed a beautiful sight to behold.
âWhoa Liam! This is breathtaking! Nature is beautiful indeedShe breathed out in wonder.
He stared at her intently For me, you are beautiful and breathtaking â
Carla groaned âI know youâre saying all this to make me feel better, Iâve lost my shape, Iâm not beautiful âShe whined.
Liam shook his head âNo pumpkin, you are beautiful and will always be â
She looked up at him, a shimmer of hope in her eyes for the first time since she got pregnant.
*Really? Youâre not shitting me, are you?â She asked softly.
âWouldnât even dream of it, Mamaâ He answered, his voice just as soft as hers and they watched the stars some time more before he announced that she really needed to sleep.
âWhere is my husband??! Where is Liam??! Carla shrieked in the labour room, feeling her stomach constricted with unbearable pain. Her pupils dilated and her eyes started to droop until a nurse slapped her on the arm harshly.
*Wake up maam! You canât sleep now, keep pushing! The nurse shouted above Carlaâs screams who had started to shout too.
âThe hell I will! Call me my husband! Where is my Liam?!â She screamed in anguish.
âCalm down maâam! He will be here soon The nurse said, trying to pacify her but it seemed Liam was the only one that couldnât do that.
Edwina came in and turned to the nurses standing without so much as sparing Carla a glance.
âHow is it going? Any improvements yet?â She asked calmly and a nurse shook her head tiredly.
âNo doctor, itâs the same thing The nurse replied.
Okay, keep it up dear friend âEdwina said, finally turning to see her expression. It was filled with fear, anticipation and longing. Edwina gauged her expression correctly because of the way reacted to the hit when it came again.
âI want my Liam! And while you mother fuckers are at it right now, it would nice to get this damned thing off me! âCarla screamed again but no one gave her attention, they were used to it now.
Liam walked in and went straight to Carlaâs bed âHey baby, are you okay?â
Carla screamed âNo Iâm not! Tell them to get this damned baby off!â
Liam held her hands âJust trying pushing for some minutes and weâll have our baby âHe reassured her with a smile.
She looked calm for some minutes âFor real?â
Liam nodded âYeah, try meâ He promised softly.
Of course Carla believed him so she pushed with all her power.
*Doctor, I can see the babyâs head! The first nurse shouted to Edwina and hours later, Carla was carrying her son in her arms, smiling at him tenderly.
Liam came in and Carla sent him a smile before handing over their baby to him.
10-44
Itâs a boy âShe informed him and he nodded, not finding the right words to say as he felt so emotional that moment as he cradled the small, tiny being In his arms.
He was being very careful so as not to do anything stupid with his son. He made some phone calls and within an hour, the place was filled with family and friends as they trooped in to congratulate the couple. Carla was surprised when she saw her mother.
âMom!â She squealed happily but was still too weak to get up.
âWhat are you doing here? Who brought you here? Carla asked in surprise
Georgia threw her a playful glare âWhat are you saying? Shouldnât be here? She asked in a way that made Carla feel guilty
*No no, I didnât mean that, Mom! I just wantedâ¦â She started to explain what she meant but was cut off by Georgia.
*Well, in answer to your question, Liam booked a flight for me before you gave birth She explained and looked over to where Liam stood.
*Thanks sonâ She said gratefully.
Liam smiled in return. Georgia left not long after and the couple were alone again.
*What shall we name him? âLiam asked, gazing at her tenderly
*Dominion Liam Blake, that will be my name for our son or what do you think?â She asked
He shook âI like the name, Dominion Liam Blake *
