MELODY
We headed out to a nearby pub that evening. I called my parents to inform them that Iâd arrived safely.
Sandy had invited a couple of her friends, and Matt had agreed to come out with us. I sat in the booth with my friends, unable to concentrate on what they were talking about.
All I could think about was the stranger Iâd had a night with. I couldnât seem to get him out of my mind. I could still feel him sometimes.
Maybe it was my chance to get him out of my system by dating Matt. Iâd always had a crush on him. He was handsome, hot, and sexy too. I should agree to the date Matt had asked me to go on.
What if we didnât work out? I would lose my friend too. I glanced over at Matt, and he was staring at me intently. I gave him a small smile.
âBaby, a penny for your thoughts,â Dan said, nudging me slightly. I sighed heavily, glancing up at him.
âNothing,â I said, and we continued chatting and bickering.
âWhy are you still single, Dan?â Kelly asked as she batted her eyelids at him, leaning forward and giving him a good view of her cleavage.
I frowned.
Dan looked at me once and replied, âIâm already in love with a beautiful girl, but she doesnât love me back.â
Everyoneâs eyes were on me. I blushed fiercely. From the corner of my eye, I saw Matt stiffen, or maybe I imagined it.
âOne kiss, baby girl. It will take only one kiss to make you fall in love with me,â Dan promised and leaned to kiss me. Everyone cheered for us. I saw Mattâs hand tighten around his beer bottle.
I pushed Dan away gently. âYou canât kiss me.â
Everyone stopped cheering and looked between us.
âWhy? I love you, Mel, since sophomore year, from the very first day I saw you walking on campus,â he said in a low voice like he was hurt.
âYou know weâre just friends. If I ever kiss you, I will definitely puke my guts,â I said.
Everyone started to laugh. âIâll wait for you, baby, no matter how long it takes.â He winked at me.
They all started talking and kissing and went on the dance floor to dance. Dan asked Kelly for a dance.
Matt and I sat in our booth, silently.
âHe loves you, Mel,â Matt said, gaining my attention.
Taking a sip of my drink, I shrugged. âI know.â
âSo you donât love him? Every girl on our campus is dying for his attention, and youâre rejecting him every time he confesses his love for you,â he said, frowning.
I didnât know how I went from a shy girl to a bold one; maybe tequila was working on me. I leaned forward, and our faces were so close I could feel his breath on my face.
âDo you want me to accept his love?â I whispered in a low and husky voice.
His eyes filled with desire, and he leaned a little closer. Our lips were nearly touching. âFuck no,â he whispered and crashed his lips on mine.
He kissed me slowly and gently at first, and his tongue moved agonizingly slowly over my own. His arms wrapped around me, cutting off any escape.
He reached down to my ass and pulled me into his lap urgently, letting me feel how hard he was for me. I moaned in his mouth, and I rubbed myself against his hardness. He groaned.
My mind wandered to a sexy stranger, the way he moaned, his possessive growl. I shook my head mentally. I had to get him out of my system. I knew I wasnât seeing him again, ever.
He would be only my fantasy when I was alone, lonely and horny as hell.
He sucked my bottom lip and bit me so hard I winced, but then he gave it back slowly, making me drag it between his teeth.
We gazed at each other for full minutes, his deep-brown eyes promising me to give everything I wanted at this moment. I was still in his lap. When we pulled apart, I was panting.
Matt ran his fingers through his hair and then grabbed his drink, finishing it in one gulp.
I glanced over to the dance floor and saw Dan staring at me with wide eyes. He had a huge grin on his face.
I stood to go onto the dance floor. Dan saw my smiles, and I took two more shots and went to join him. We danced a few minutes. âThat was fucking hot,â Dan whispered, leaning forward.
I knew what he was talking about. I shrugged.
âSo itâs yes for a date?â He arched his brows.
I gave him a coy smile. âMaybe.â
He leaned down and whispered, âDonât turn. Heâs staring at you. Do you want to tease him little?â He smirked.
A shot of excitement raced through me. âHell yeah!â
He grabbed me by the arm and led me deeper onto the dance floor.
My hips moved to the beat, faster and faster. I knew Mattâs eyes werenât the only pair on me. A few guys wanted to grind with me. I let myself get lost in the feeling of having a good time.
âSo fucking sexy, baby,â Dan rasped, pulling me closer to grind with me. I glared at him. He just snickered and started grinding again.
âHe looks angry,â he said, and I laughed. We continued to dance and drink the night away.
Suddenly, âGrind With Meâ blared through the speakers, and everyone began to couple up and grind against each other.
Mia and Jacob were grinding each other like horny teenagers, and so were Sandy and Rick.
Dan glanced over my shoulder, then he gave me a wink and took a step backward. Suddenly, I felt two hands grab onto my waist, pulling me to him before his hips thrust against my back.
I knew why Dan had walked away. I looked up and saw him standing off to the side of the dance floor, smiling at me like the Cheshire Cat.
We were dancing, and his hands were all over me, trailing down my arms, digging into my sides. He ground his hips against me again, and our lips crashed. His kiss was hot and urgent and rough.
Best of all, it made me forget everything, made me forget myself.
His fingers burned my skin as he slid them under my dress, hiking it up a little, sinking them into my flesh and squeezing me too hard.
âYou want to get out of here?â he finally asked.
My heart skipped a beat. I gulped. His eyes blazed through me as the heat of his body made my heart race.
I inhaled, chewing my lip. I glanced over at Dan. He knew what I was asking. He gave me a thumbs-up and mouthed, âI want every detail.â
I smiled and nodded to Dan to let him know I was leaving.
âLetâs go,â I said.
Mattâs face broke into a smile. He tilted my head up and kissed me tenderly.
