Healing The Ruthless Alpha Healing The Ruthless Alpha Sihanaâs POV
âWhatâs happening?â I asked, twiddling my thumbs as I heard the stampede getting louder and louder.
âAlpha, the dungeons have been opened!â Someone opened a mind link and forgot to channel it to only the Alpha so th e whole pack heard it.
âWeâre going into lockdown,â Cahir said. His eyes unfocused for a minute as he mind linked the heads of various brigades. âLetâs go, Sia.â He outstretched his hand to me and I took it with a puzzled expression.
âWhere are we going?â I asked.
âYouâre going to join them in the hideout closest to us. Iâm sending you with a couple of warriors so donât be scared.â
âOh.â I swallowed. Unlike him, I was already scared, terrified out of my mind.
âYouâre crushing my hand,â he muttered and I got back to my senses.
âSorry,â I muttered with a blush. âIâm just a bit nervous. As if my body wanted to show just how nervous, flames rose on my hand and then flickered out. âThis happens when Iâm nervous.â I giggled in a high- pitched tone.
âDonât be nervous.â Cahir kissed my forehead. We were standing in an unassuming location a few meters away from our home. âThere will be about thirty people including you and Melanie. Sebastian and his brigade too. Youâll be fine.â
Heâd made all the preparations for my safety but what about him? He would be out there fighting with people who could turn against him at any point. A comrade could pull a knife on him without him knowing and I would lose my mate forever.
âI know.â My lips stretched in a smile so as not to worry him. My nervousness shouldnât affect my mate. Iâd prefer for him not to go into battle but if he did go into battle, he should go with as clear a head as possible. âJust donât go rogue,â I warned. His eyes lit up and his lips pulled up in a smile.
âIâll try not to.â With that, he swooped in to kiss me, his tongue dipping into my mouth with a swirl that had my toes curling. âI love you, Sihana Asena,â he mumbled against my lips, his forehead pressed against mine and his eyes blazing.
âI love you, too,â I breathed. âWhen all this is over, Iâll say those words every day.â Avow to make sure he came back to me.
âThatâs a promise Iâll hold you to.â He vowed. Then he walked over to an unassuming tree and struck it. The ground rattled as the tree and its root slid away to reveal an underground hideout. âIâll finish this as quickly as possible and come for you.â He pressed something into my palm and I gulped when I saw a familiar dagger. âYouâll be protected but you canât be too cautious.â He gave a wry smile. âDonât come out until I come for you,â he warned.
Tears gathered in my eyes but I nodded anyway, hugging the sheathed blade to my chest, Iâd never witnessed a battle before. Iâd read about them and sympathized with the people who sent their families off to the battlefield but I hated that I was now one of those people. Iâd be in hiding while my mate fought for our lives.
M BB.
10:51 He watched me until I entered the hideout and then the door slid shut.
âLunaâ 1 screeched, jumping away as a voice pierced the air in the dark place.
âOh, sorry, itâs meâ Lights came on but the darkness almost swallowed the light. âItâs Melanie, the gamma.â Ha, I breathed a sigh of relief as the woman identified Herself.
âWhere is everyone else?â I asked. I could make out the outlines in the darkness of the place, my omega senses too weak to see sharply. The warriors had better sights than us all so I believed that if push came to shove, they would be able to defend us but what would the other twenty of us do?
âIf you have a torchlight, please turn it on. Iâd like to see everyone,â I said. One by one, people started to turn on their lights and the place was illuminated enough for me to see. I counted seventeen people, including Laura and Melanie, mostly people from the Alpha Castle.
âWhat is this place?â I asked Melanie as she guided me to a seat.
âItâs one of the hideouts of the pack. We have bunkers and underground homes but these are littered around the pack lands, over twenty of them. They are as old as Alpha Blood pack and are preferred for safety reasons as they are better hidden. Over the years, theyâve been renovated for comfort.â
âAristo doesnât know of this place?â Melanie shook her head.
âAlthough the beta knows of a few of them, only the Alpha knows about all the security hideouts of the pack and the Alpha is certain he never learnt of this one.â
I asked a few more questions and learnt that the place was fully insulated. It was sturdy and theyâd stocked it with two weeks worth of food when the first threat to the pack came. The tree above the shelter was artificial and blended well with the other trees so we would not be caught.
I breathed a sigh of relief and rested my head on the iron walls behind me. Then I closed my eyes and said a quick prayer to the goddess to protect my mate and my pack.
âWe just have to stay here, right?â I asked Melanie with my eyes closed.
âYes. The Alpha will handle everything,â she assured me.
I hated that my mate had to shoulder everything himself but I wasnât stupid. I knew that I couldnât lend him a hand in this fight as I didnât know the first thing about battle but he lost his beta, his gamma was busy protecting his Luna and so he had to fight all alone among traitors.
âBe safe, Cahir,â I muttered in the darkness.
The other people were muttering to themselves, the atmosphere thick with tension, a woman sobbing and crying out the names of her mate and two sons who were all warriors. Her teenage son hugged her as she cried in a hollow, painâstricken voice.
We were there for two days and with every day that passed, my anxiety peaked. Iâd done nothing but eat and sleep for the duration Iâd been trapped here, panicked and praying. Even my baby was anxious with me. Iâd dreamt only of my mate and the battle that must be going on above us. Down here, we heard nothing and knew nothing of what was happening above the ground. All I knew was that my mate was alive and he hadnât sustained any serious injury, else, I would feel it.
I was praying for the safety of my mate when light entered the hideout, then we heard voices and all went on alert. My hand tightened against the dagger I always held and my symptoms which had not surfaced #BB.

since I entered this place, kicked in. Nausea hit and my temperature skyrocketed along with my heartbeat.
âI can scent her!â Someone shouted. âThe Luna is here! It was at those words that the people frozen in here jolted. Almost in an instant, a barricade was formed around me. Half of the warriors jumped to stand before me and the gamma while the others readied themselves.
A battle broke out In the darkness, I could barely see but I heard the groans, the ripping of flesh, the shouts and scream, the women crying, and then gunshots. My body froze to the point of pain. The gunshot sounded once, then twice, it continued while people scrambled to take cover but I was frozen.
Someone yanked me to my knees and threw something over me. It was a warm corpse. I shuddered, my nausea rising I prayed fervently, caught in a helpless situation in the dark, pregnant with a child that altered my healing abilities, a child I had to protect. Just then, I felt a familiar warm essence coarse through me and I fought down a cry of relief.
The gunshots stopped and then I could hear the people talking to themselves as they conducted a search for me, Had they killed everyone? How many would I be able to heal? The person whoâs been used to cover me did not respond to my healing mana flowing out. I swallowed, knowing the unsavoury had happened. I was a healer â I could not bring people back from the dead.
âFound you.â The corpse above me was wrenched off and a strong hand pulled me to my feet. I swung the dagger at the figure in front of me. He cursed, the voice unfamiliar but I didnât let it bother me.
1 âLuna, stay down.â Melanieâs voice sounded close to me. âTheir bullets are laced with silver,â she muttered in the chaos.
I would have gotten down if I didnât suddenly become a fucking gigantic flame of fire.
It was annoying but I was thankful. âNow, we can just make barbecue.â I hugged the two men that tried to grab me.
