Healing The Ruthless Alpha Sihanaâs POV
The days that followed after had me researching rogues extensively while trying my best to keep my heart from Cahir. It was difficult but his words replayed in my head ever so often, reminding me that he was incapable of love. Using his words as a mantra didnât work as well as I expected it to. I didnât want to but it was inevitable â I was falling in love, slowly but surely âUggh.â I felt my stomach turn as I buried my face into my pillow. My whole body ached like I had been run over by a truck, and I felt uncomfortable for some reason.
âSihana!â 1 jerked upright, gathering my sheets to cover my body as Aristo barged into my room.
âWhat the hell?â I asked, wideâeyed, petrified and annoyed. âWhy are you here and canât you knock!?â I shricked, the full effect of his behaviour dawning on me. I was naked underneath these sheets and this man who was not my mate just barged into my â Cahirâs room!
âOh, sorry, sorry!â He put his hands across his face and backed out of the room.
âHa!â I fought down a curse as I got out of bed. âWhat a fellow.â
Asides from Aristo being a chronic womanizer, a shameless flirt and a jokester, he was also a rash person, Once again, I wondered how he managed to climb up the ladder to become Cahirâs Beta.
My mate says he had his flaws too many of them, but his loyalty would never be questioned and he was the kind of person that worked efficiently, after he procrastinated until the deadline, that is. He was funny and friendly, a machine on the battlefield as I heard, and a capable Beta despite him making a joke of everything, but these days, he was even more thoughtless.
When I went down for breakfast, he was at the table, devouring a heap of pancakes and a guzzle of syrup with a large mug of tea beside him.
âGood morning. Luna,â he greeted with a grin but his eyes were apologetic. âIâm sorry about earlier.â
âSorry for yourself,â Asena snarled, irritated at his rash behaviour. It was disrespectful to barge into a personâs room like that and to my wolf, who had been disrespected all her life, she refused to let it slide as just Aristo being a punk.
âAh, I fucked up, didnât I?â He asked with a grimace. âIâm really sorry. Desperation made me act rashly. Iâm sorry, really!â He apologized over and over again until I was tired of hearing him repeat how sorry he was.
âFine!â Asena snapped. âWhat did you want?â She demanded of him. He tugged at his collar after his hands off syrup.
âItâs Cahir.â Unconsciously, my heart stuttered at the mention of my mateâs name..
wiping Be still, you wretched heart. Nothing good can come from loving a man like Cahir Armani.
âDonât speak ill of my mate, Asena growled at me. She was my wolf, my other half, but it was clear that she would always pick her mateâs side over mine. What a traitor. âOne of us has to be there for him, the traitor replied.
What happened to Cahir?â I asked, thanking the girl that served me a smaller heap of pancakes. I loved pancakes, I had them as many times as I could, but looking at them that morning. I felt disinterested.

5 Pearls âYou have to stop him,â Aristo answered, dumping mo syrup on his dripping pancakes. My kind rarely ever got sick but if I had that much syrup, I would be sick for days, âWhat happened?â My wolf perked up.
âHe is going to do something outrageous and I canât stand for it.â He shoved a whole pancake into his mouth and I gaped. The mutt winked at me, chewing and talking âHeâs going to pull down the Greyson family.â I sat up straight at those words.
The twins harassing me the other day belonged to the Creyson family, the same family Cahir said he would extort for their wealth, the richest family in Alpha Blood and the second richest in the world â the family that controlled around twentyâfive percent of the wealth in the park.
âWhat? Isnât that dangerous?â I asked Aristo. âTheyâre like crazy rich.â And with riches came power.
âIt is but your mate is crazyâ Aristo shook his head. âIâve been trying to convince him since yesterday but he didnât listen. He called a meeting with Dorian Greyson this morning The beta looked like a man who had been asked to crawl on gravel with his bare knees. âHelp me, Sia. Iâm overworked as it is, I canât afford to take on more work!â
âBut what did they do? Why is he trying to tear them down?â I asked, making a face at the sweet front of me.
âDo you not want the pancakes?â He asked, eyeing my food. I pushed the plate to him.
âHelp yourself.â He grabbed my plate without hesitation. âNow, back to my question. What did the Greysons do?â
âYou donât know?â He eyed me. âThey insulted you and theyâve refused to apologize.â
Ah.
Did the father of the girls refuse to atone for his daughtersâ sins or did he refuse to apologize because he had the power and influence to get away with anything?
âI donât know what else to do. He wonât listen to me but I know he listens to you. If you ask him to forgive them, heâd listen. Please, Sia, weâd have our workload cur out for us if we take on such a family and after that, thereâll be a big mess to clean up. Please, help mel âWho says he listens to me?â My voice came out weak and a tingling sensation swept down my nape to my back and waist.
âNo one needs to say anything. The plans to bury Silver Moon under a pile of rubble suddenly stopped and I know itâs because of you. Thank you by the way. I didnât want to travel all the way to that wretched pack.â
âYouâre welcome,â the words slipped from my lips with too much ease. I wanted to tell him that I didnât do it for his benefit but ultimately, stopping Cahir from succumbing to bloodlust would benefit all at the end. Not just me.
âSo will you do it?â Aristo asked, leani forward with raised brows and a hopeful expression.
Iâll try.â I shrugged, heat burning my cheeks and ears as he cheered.
To him, it may be that I somehow controlled Cahirâs acts but it was a bargain between the two of us and he
hardly ever listened. When he did. I had to give him something. I vaguely wondered what twisted thing he would want to try tonight.
âThank you!â Aristo jumped out of his seat and placed a syrupy kiss on my cheeks. I grimaced, grabbing a napkin to wipe my face. âYouâre a lifesaver! Iâll leave now! Thank you so much!â With that, he ran out of the Alpha Castle.
âWhat a child.â I laughed to myself, watching the beta of a man as prestigious and dignified as Cahir Armani run like a little boy.
âLuna, do you not like the pancakes? Have they gotten cold?â The new girl who hovered around me these: days appeared. She had a light blush on her cheeks and she seemed a bit starryâeyed. It was the Aristo- effect, as I called it. A special effect Aristo had on females around him.
âNah, Iâm fine, Irene.â I beamed at the girl. âBy the way, is Maribeth still not back?â I didnât miss the creepy smiling girl but it had been a week since I last saw her and no one had any information about her whereabouts. She had been visiting family but no one heard anything from her since she left.
âNo. She usually vanishes like this sometimes. She will be back. Are you dissatisfied with my service?â She rubbed her nape, her gestures fidgety. I preferred this girl to Beth. Her smile was easy and genuine unlike Bethâs/
âNo, youâre alright. Iâm not hungry today so Iâll just head to the office now.â I gave her a smile.
âAlright, Luna! Have fun!â She beamed at me and then proceeded to clear the table.
I walked to the pack house, taking my time to appreciate the scenery around me. On getting to the entrance of the pack house, I ran into a burly man. His shoulder hit mine with such force that I fell to the ground. Rather than apologize, the man looked down at me with beady black eyes that glimmered with hatred.
