CIARAN | 07

Seth was a demon. He made malicious deals with humans. All his life, he had spent killing mortals, creatures and myths.

He never committed himself to one person completely. If he had needs he would just met them and be done.

Life was this simple and normal for him. He had long ago climbed a high status in the underworld and was already one of the strongest seven.

Seth had no intention of eavesdropping.

No scratch that.

Seth had full intention to eavesdrop.

What he didn’t expect was June would say he did fall from heaven for him.

When he heard June’s words his undead and unbeaten heart had thumped loudly against his rib cage. He longed to see June’s face.

“I will fall from heaven for him.”

Seth placed a hand on the left side of his chest, in hopes it would clam his heart. It beat too fast after eons of silence.

[Male lead’s favorability rate +20 current favorability rate : 65%]

Seth quickly dissipate the  spell he had used to scoop in the conversation when he heard footsteps come towards him.

It was Lady Helianthus.

She looked surprised to see him. Both of them bowed their head lightly in greeting.

“Thank you so much for reuniting me and my twin,” May said.

Seth smiled.

“I did it for him.”

May straighten her back and cleared her throat. She still didn’t wanted Seth and June to be together.

“June is an angel,” she began, “His life is much more harder than ours because heaven keeps close eyes on them. I hope you won’t make things hard for him.”

“You can rest assured, lady Helianthus,” Seth said, “I will protect him just like you did.”

May nodded. She didn’t knew how sincere Seth was but if things went for worse she would be there to protect June at all cause.

“June wanted to leave with you so he is still in the room.”

“I shall take my leave then.”

Seth made his way to the room and smiled at June who was sipping on a drink.

“I am back angel,” he said.

June looked up and smiled at Seth. Before Seth could say anything, June threw himself on Seth. He rested his chin on Seth’s chest and looked up at him with a bright smile.

“Thank you so much for today,” he beamed.

Seth wrapped his arms around June’s body and pulled him closer.

“Anything for you,” Seth said.

The both looked into each other’s eyes. Both of them admiring each other’s eyes. June’s eyes was like the setting sun's. Rare and so so beautiful.

Seth’s red eyes were like the burning fire. It had the same fierceness of the fire but it came with warmth.

June cupped Seth's jaw with both of his hands and tip toed. Seth leaned down exactly knowing what they were going to do next. He was just happy to kiss June.

As their lips pressed against each other’s, Seth felt his heart try to jump out. He tighten his arms around June.

The first two kisses they shared were filled with desire and needs. It was hot and heavy.

The kiss they were sharing now was something else.

It felt like they were weaving their souls together through the kiss.

When they pulled away June took in a deep breath before opening his eyes.His hand were still resting on Seth’s jaws.

“Thank you so much, Seth.”

“You what?”

Seth stared at the large serpent with a flat face.

“I thought you didn’t have legs. Had I known you lost your hearing too, I could have told you in writing.”

The dark serpent narrowed it’s beady eyes at Seth. It’s scaly body glimmered as it moved it’s head closer to Seth’s direction.

“You came here to ask for a favor,” the serpent hissed, “Keep your attitude in check.”

Seth shrugged, “I am just asking you to free me from the shackle of underworld, is it too much?”

“Are you planning to go rogue?”

Seth smirked, “I was a rogue before Nick picked me to be one of his man.”

“Why do you want to separate yourself from the underworld?”

“I have important things to look after now.”

“Is it an angel?”

Seth narrowed his eyes.

“Ciaran are you spying on me?”

Ciaran flicked his tongue.

“You have an angel's scent on you.”

“Are you going to let me leave the underworld peacefully or do I have to go rogue?” Seth asked, in a no nonsense voice.

Ciaran let out a deep chuckle as he transformed into his demon form. Ciaran was a very handsome looking man with a lean figure and dark hair which reached down his waist.

His coal black eyes flashed at Seth. He walked towards Seth and grabbed his robe and pulled him.

“I waited for you so long,” Ciaran said in a purr, “I waited for you to notice me and my love for you but was I just a fuck buddy for you?”

Seth pulled away from Ciaran's hold.

“I warned you, I was not serious when we first decided to fuck.”

“It was eons ago!” Ciaran hissed.

“Are you freeing me or not?”

Ciaran realized Seth was never going to look at him they way he looked at Seth. He had fallen in love with him a long time ago but all Seth treated him was as someone he could use to release his need.

And now that Seth found someone he loved, he was going to leave all the glory he had in the underworld for an angel.

Through his intel, Ciaran knew that Seth and that nameless angel met each other since they were assigned with the same human. He also knew the angel once used to love the human.

He smirked as an idea formed in his mind.

“I will free you from the binds of underworld,” Ciaran said, “but on two condition.”

Seth raised an eyebrow.

“What are they?”

Ciaran smiled.

“Condition number one,” he said and raised his slender finger, “Sleep with me one last time.”

“No.”

Ciaran shrugged, “You have no option.”

Without waiting for Seth’s reply Ciaran told the second condition.

“Finish your last assignment. Kill the human girl.”

Seth frowned. Even though he was sure June is no longer in love with Coral he was her guardian angel, killing her would upset him.

“I won’t.”

Ciaran's smile grew wider.

“I knew the angel was up to something when he decided to mess with you.”

Seth’s jaw clenched, “What do you mean?”

Ciaran laughed, “Don’t you see? He is pretending to love you so he can protect the real person he loves.”

“June is no longer in love with that mortal.”

“We never know,” Ciaran said in a sing song voice.

“He is not.” Seth insisted.

Ciaran smirked. He walked towards Seth and wrapped his arms around Seth’s board shoulder. Oh, how many times he had hold onto them when he and Seth spent their nights together.

He brushed his lips over Seth’s ear and whispered in a coy voice.

“Prove it,” Ciaran said, “if your angel don’t love the human he won’t stop your from killing the girl then.”

“You were out of heaven for a month , is everything alright with your human?” Aqua asked.

Aqua and June were in a bar, drinking.

June smiled, “Coral is fine, I am just staying with someone.”

Ever since the kiss. June had been staying with Seth. They hadn’t expressed their feelings but the favorability rate had increased quite a lot.

“Who?” Aqua curiously asked.

June grinned, “Someone special.”

Before Aqua could pry anymore, June’s wrist watched blinked angry red colors.

His human was in danger.

[Host, if the female lead dies. The mission will be considered a failure.]

“Shit,” June cursed, as he quickly hopped off from his stool.

“I am so sorry Aqua, Coral got into a car accident,” June said, while examining his wristwatch, “Let’s catch up some time later.”

Without waiting for an answer June dashed out of the bar.
