MISTAKE MISSION | 10
Ian and June were in the library, looking through the shelves when Ian felt June tug in his jacket.
Ian looked at June raised his eyebrows, silently asking what June wanted.
June bit his lips and pointed up to the top shelf.
"I think, I saw the book I need," June mumbled, "I can't reach it though."
Instead of reaching for the book from his side, Ian moved in front of June. Ian caged June between himself and the shelf.
June gave Ian a confused look but Ian was already reaching for the book. June's eyes trailed over, Ian's neck and he gulped involuntarily at the sight of Ian's golden skin and the way his Adam apple seem to bob.
Ian looked down, silently marveling over June's hazel eyes.
"Is this the book?" He mumbled, his voice had dropped into a husky whisper.
June's eyes flickered towards the book . He didn't even bothered to read the title and nodded.
"Thanksâ" he reached out to grab the book from Ian's hand but frowned when Ian raised his arm higher, preventing June from reaching the book.
June looked at Ian with confused eyes.
"Do you know humans are greedy?" Ian mumbled, watching June while his dark eyes were brewing an unhidden storm.
When June said nothing, Ian leaned towards June's face, they were now nose to nose.
"The more they get, the more they want," Ian huskily mumbled.
June shuddered at Ian's hot breath fanning his lips and chin. His legs started feeling shaky so he raised his hands and held onto either side of Ian's board shoulders.
"What do you mean?" June finally asked and cringed mentally at his shaking and nervous voice.
"I want more," Ian answered.
"More of what?"
Ian silently observed June's confused eyes. He had guessed right, June's hazel eyes were powerful enough to warm up a cold person.
"I keep noticing that you are interrupting my daily." Ian explained, he held June's chin and raised his face.
"And holy shit do I love it so much." He breathed.
June felt his heart beat fasten.Usually, June would let the male lead lean over and kiss him but this time June went on his tip toes and neared Ian.
Ian also neared June's face and silently bend his knees to meet June halfway. The moment their lips touched, June's chest were bursting with unexplained emotion.
The kiss lasted merely over a second and both of them pulled away. Ian sucked in a sharp breath at June's smiling face. How could he not notice his own emotion all this days?
Every time June said a lame pun, Ian ended up enjoying them. Every time, Ian forget to get lunch money and ended up with a soggy sandwich, June readily gave his cream bread to him. Every time Ian acted coldly to him, June would smile so brightly and keep coming back to him. Their little competition of who would go and feed Cookie the fastest became Ian's fond memories.
Ian cupped June's face with his large hands and leaned down again. This time their kiss was stronger, it conveyed June everything Ian can never tell in words. The kiss told June how much of a bright change he was in Ian's life. The kiss told him, oh so much and it made his chest full.
June fisted Ian's jacket as their kiss deepened, and one of Ian's hands were already lost in June's soft hair.

Both of them were so lost in the sensation of each other's taste when System Venus's notification made June suddenly remember something.
Is he doing the right thing?
June suddenly pushed Ian and Ian looked at June with confused and dazed eyes. Both of them were breathless. At the sight of Ian's swollen lips, June lightly traced his fingers over his lips.
"I-I," June tried to explain his action. Ian was patiently waiting for him.
"I am sorry," June said and hugged the book Ian had picked for him which had somehow ended in his hand, against his chest and swiftly walked away from Ian.
Ian stood there in shock as June disappeared from the aisle of shelves.
Suddenly, the shock left with a searing pain of realization that June just left him.
Just like his father left their family.
But this time he was not angry or scared.
This time Ian felt his chest hurt. Maybe that's what people called heartbreak.
Ian rested his forehead against the book shelf and took in a shuddering deep breath.
He shouldn't have kissed him.
Kiss.
Ian paused. June had kissed him back. June had kissed him back with the same passion and sweetness Ian had kissed him with.
Ian placed his fingers over his lips.
He was not going to give up on June.
June had somehow managed to find his way in the bathroom and locked himself in a stall. He sat on the toilet seat and took in a deep shuddering breath.
He looked at the book in his hand to distract himself from his complicated thoughts but realized Ian had picked the wrong book.
Ian.
Suddenly, a drop of tear fell on the book cover followed by another drop. June quickly wiped his eyes. His chest ached for Ian.
However, June felt like he was bringing light in those dark eyes only to take them away.
"Venus, is there a way to heal this body from it's sickness?" June asked.
[No, host. It is against the protocol of Hades Inc. Dead is decided and the body you are hosting is meant to die by the end of this year.]
June covered his face and started crying. He felt the same complicated feeling claw him the last time he had took this mission.
The body was going to die anyway, what's the point of making them fall in love?
June took in a deep shaky breath and wiped his eyes.
Maybe he should abort the mission.
June couldn't bear the thought of making Ian sad by his death. He just couldn't.

The day for the drama finally came. Ian and June never talked about the kiss. They hanged out together but there was something different about them.
The program for the day had many interesting things. The celebration of the day started with a school pride parade, students walked in the most dazzling rainbow colored clothes and waved the lgbt flag.
It followed with the speech of how love is love and gender shouldn't get in the way of it. Fashion show to represent the transgender community was also held in which June was forced to dress like a Lolita.
Ian who was getting dressed up for Romeo nearly had a nose bleed when he saw June in a cute ruffled dress with a long wig and cute head accessories.
Finally, after lunch break, the drama Jayden and Romeo was going to take place.
Despite the fact that Ian and June had an awkward air surrounding them after the kiss, their acting was unparalleled.
The two of them acted exactly like two star crossed lovers. June felt the reality of the drama, as he held Romeo's "dead" body in his arms and raised the dragger to stab himself.
In the drama too, Ian and June was not having a happy ending. And it would be same in the real life too.
As the epilogue was narrated and the curtain closed behind the dead couples. Ian rose to his feet and helped June up.
Since it had been a long day, June's poor health started to kick in, his legs wouldnât hold him up and the moment he stood up, he fell down.
"June," Ian hissed, "Are you okay?"
June gave Ian a faint smile.
"I..."
June blacked out.
I was thinking of releasing an extra part of Jayden and Romeo. As different characters.
