~Dinner?~

"Julie" I screamed "Where are my black jeans" i asked while looking around
"Ow forgot to mention I really wanna wear them sorry" she said coming out of the bathroom wearing my pants
"Serously"
"I'm sorry besides you look way hotter in a skirt" she said
"Uh fine but you're buying me a kitkat" i said pointing my finger at her
"Ai ai captain" she said putting her hand on her head like a sailor
I rolled my eyes and took out a skirt and a top and quickly got dressed.
I pared it with my navy blue converse and my jacket because it was a little chilly outside.
Me and Julie left the dorms and we started walking to school.
"So" Julie started "Do you know what you're going to say to Adam"
"No what should I say" i asked slowly getting nervous
"Well do you like him" she asked me
"Ye i do" i answered "but does he"
"He wouldn't kiss you if he didn't. It's Adam we're talking about. Not some preppy kid" she said
"I guess" i said
"Hey don't worry he definitely likes you and if he doesn't me and Connie are going to kick his ass"
"Thanks Julie" i said
We parted ways for class. First I had Physics with Charlie and Connie which went great. We got our test back I had an A.
Then I had Science with Luis and Guy which went well until the teacher saw me doodling in my book. She threw a whole tantrum and gave me detention. Really?
My last lesson before lunch was French with Goldberg. Now I know why Julie doesn't really like him. I couldn't contain my laugh when he started speaking French.
Finally lunch. I was so hungry. I sat with the ducks like usual. They are starting to really take me in in their friend group.
Before I sat down I waved and smiled at Adam sitting at the Varsity table. His face brightened when he saw me.
During lunch we just ate and talked the whole time.
"Check out the nex jackets, guys" Averman said and pointed at Varsity walking to our table
"What does he mean" i whispered to Connie sitting next to me
"Julie, Kenny and Russ pranked Varsity back with freezing all of their clothes" she whispered back
"They did that" i asked. Connie nodded "Well that's unfortunate" she giggled
"Hey, congrats on the Blake game" Rick said leaning over Charlie's and Dwayne's chair. I looked at Adam standing there awkwardly. He just looked at the ground not making eye contact with anyone.
"Yeah right, we tied" Charlie said. Adam finally looked up and we locked eyes. He smiled at me and of course i smiled back.
"Hey, a point is a point. We're all warriors now. You guys proved your guts. You all set for dinner?" Rick said smirking.
Dinner? First there are all enemies and now he's willing to go to dinner with them. I don't believe it.
"Dinner?" asked Russ also confiused
"Well, it's an Eden Hall tradition. Varsity got to treat the freshman to dinner. So, round up your posse and meet us at 18:00 the Minnesota Club, downtown. Anybody needs a ryde, we can take you" Rick told us "I mean you guy's do like steak and seafood, right?"
"Yea we do" Charlie aswered
"Look, I don't like you pukes, all right? But this is a tradition. At Eden Hall, I learned to care about tradition" Cole jumped in.
"Ow and before I forget" Rick said "You can come too Layla"
Now I know for sure this is all bullshit.
"Sure" I said while glaring at him.
"Alright it's settled then" Rick said and started walking away with Varsity.
"It's Cool" Adam said before leaving.
"Oh, it's cool" mimicked Russ
"Let's go, if Banks says it's cool. We might as well go" Julie said
Everyone agreed but I just rolled my eyes and started packing up like the rest.
When I started walking with Julie to Geography I asked: "You really don't believe Varsity do you?"
"Why shouldn't I" she asked
"It's Varsity we're talking about. The schools biggest jerks. No scratch that the world's biggest jerks. Lying and being rude is in there nature" i answered
"Oh please i'm sure they can be nice for ones and besides Adam would never do that to us" she said
"Whatever, but don't say I didn't warn you" i pointed to her. She just laughed and sat down next to me.
After Geography I said bye to Julie and walked to English. I would be sitting next to Adam.
"Hey Layla" he said.
"Hi"
"Adam?" i asked turning to him
"Ye?"
"Can you promise me nothing is going to happen at dinner?" i asked sticking out my pinky
"I promise. It's just a dinner between Varsity and JV and you" he answered looking in my eyes and interlocking our pinkies.
"Ye about that why did he invite me? I'm not a hockey player"
"Well I asked him" he said
"Why"
"Because i wanted you to come. You're like the only person who likes to be around me at the moment so ye thats why" he said
I smiled at him and turned to the front when the teacher started talking. During the lesson I caught him staring at me here and there.
After English I said goodbye to Adam and went to the dorms to get ready for dinner with Julie and Connie.
