Layla's pov
After a 30 minute drive the car stopped in the middle of nowhere
"You just answered my questions. I'm getting murdered" i said
"Will you stop, you're not getting killed alright" he said smiling
"What are we here for?" i asked
"Close your eyes okay" he said helping me out of the car. He leads me wherever we're going. After ten seconds we stop.
"Alright open your eyes he said
I opened them and I was met with this beautiful picnic set up. This red checkered cloth was covering the green grass. On top of it was a brown basket filled with food and plates.
"Adam this is beautiful" i said
"You like it" he asked
"I love it" I wasn't lying it was absolutely breath taking. We sat down and started eating.
"So..." i started "What was so important you had to tell me?" i asked
Adam's pov
I took a deep breath and looked into her eyes. "I've been wanting to tell you this for a while," I began, my voice slightly trembling. "I don't know when it happened, or how it happened, but somewhere along the way, I fell for you. Not just in the way people fall in love at first sight, but in the little moments â the way you laugh, the way your eyes light up when you're passionate about something. I find myself thinking about you all the time, and it's not just a crush; it's real. I'm in love with you."
She just looked at me. Didn't she feel the same? There was a stillness between us and I could feel the tension in the air, thick and fragile. My heart beat so loudly in my chest that I wondered if she could hear it. Her lips parted, but no sound came out. Instead, she took a step closer, her eyes never leaving mine.
"I... I don't know what to say, I didn't expect that" she finally whispered, the words lingering in the quiet space between us. She took a deep breath. "I never realized you felt this way." The silence stretched again, but it didn't feel heavy now. "But... I think I feel the same way."
I blinked, my breath catching in my throat. "What?"
She smiled softly, a blush creeping up her cheeks. "I've been trying to figure it out for a while, actually. I kept thinking it was just a phase, or maybe I was imagining things. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I've felt this way for a long time." she paused, searching my face. "I love you too, Adam."
I was speechless and happy at the same time. I reached out, taking her hand gently in mine, unable to wipe the grin off my face. "Are you serious?" I asked, still in awe.
She laughed softly, squeezing my hand in return. "Yeah, I'm serious. I've just been waiting for you to say it first."
"I can't believe it," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I've loved you for so long. I never thought you'd feel the same."
She smiled, leaning her head on my shoulder. "I was scared too, you know. I didn't want to mess up what we had. But I guess sometimes, you just have to take the risk."
I nodded, my hand still holding hers, feeling the electricity between us. "I'm glad I did."
And as the sun dipped below the horizon, we sat there, side by side, knowing that this was just the beginning of something beautiful. No more uncertainty, no more fears. Just usâtogether, finally.
When the darkness spread over the horizon we packed everything up and got ready to leave. The drive back to the dorms was quiet not an awkward silence but comfortable.
I looked at my right and saw Layla fast asleep. No words can describe how happy I was that she felt the same.
When we got to the dorms i slowly woke her up and told her were here.
"Thanks for the amazing night Adam" she said
"No problem"
She looked into my eyes and put her hand on my cheek. She slowly started to lean in and I did too until our lips met.
She kissed me. The girl who i'm in love with kissed me. Could this day get any better? When we pulled away we just stared into each other's eyes.
"Layla?" i said "Do you wan't to be my girlfriend"
"I would love to Adam" she said smiling.
We kissed again. She said goodbye and left for the dorms. I watched her until she disappeared through the doors.
God i'm so in love with her
Layla's pov
I walked through the door and was met with a staring Julie, Connie and Guy.
"So?" Julie said
"What happened?" asked Guy
"Did you kiss?" Connie asked
"Nothing happened, just...I might be his girfriend" I said smiling
"IIIIIII" Julie and Connie screamed jumping up and hugging me
"Hey wait for me" Guy said joining the grouphug.
"We told you, you would be fine" Connie said
"Yes and you were worrying that you wouldn't forgive him" Julie said
"I'm so happy for you Layla but me and Guy should go bye" Connie said leaving together with Guy.
"Julie i'm so happy I can't explain it" i said landing flat on my bed.
"I'm just so happy for you" Julie said
We talked some more until we both fell asleep. Not without thinking about Adam.
God i'm so in love with him.
