~Easy Lover ð¿~
I was getting ready for my first day of work. I putted on my uniform and brushed my teeth.
I was trying to be quiet because it was the weekend and I wanted Julie to have some rest for her game tomorrow. But I am apparently not as quiet as I thought I was.
"What the hell are you doing. It's 7:04 on a goddamn saturday" she said
"I'm getting ready for work remember"
"Can you do that without making noise?" she asked, covering her face with a pillow
"Apparently not" i answered "But I'm leaving now so bye bye
"Ye ye wathever"
I laughed and closed the door and went to take a rental bike. One good thing about this school is that they have bikes for students to rent if they have to go somewhere even on the weekends.
So I drove to the music store while listening to Easy Lover on my walkman. I love that song.
"Hey Fulton" i said coming through the backdoors "Charlie not working today?"
"Nope, he has a date" he said
"Ooooo with who"
"This girl named Linda" he said while opening a few of our new orders "Look at this"
I looked into the box he just opened and I couldn't believe my eyes.
"No way!"
"Yes way." He exclaimed "Fleetwood Mac is back in stock baby"
"I love Fleetwood Mac" i exclaimed
"Haha! You're like Dean but better looking and smarter" he said
We high-fived and I started putting the vinyls in the vinyl section and Fulton started putting the cassettes in their section. All of a sudden the door opened. The bell at the entrance ringing signalled that there was a customer.
We both turned around and there he was standing with a cassette in his hand, Adam. Me and Fulton just stared at him.
"Uhh...I wanted to...uhm...I rented this mixtape" he said, switching his gaze between us.
"I'm busy" Fulton said, turning back to what he was doing. I glared at the back of his head before saying.
"Come with me"
We started waling to the register.
"Did you already pay for that or was it on hold?" i asked, avoiding eyecontact.
"Uh no I still have to pay" he said, taking out his wallet
"Alright" I scanned the mixtape "That will be $19.99"
"Here" he said, giving me twenty dollars "Keep the change"
"It's one cent"
"See it as your tip"
"Very generous I see" i said tipping on the computer that he paid. He was still standing there. Why can't he just leave me alone.
"You can leave now" i said, still looking at the computer.
"I know, I just wanted to ask if you already have a date for prom" he asked looking at me.
No I don't, you idiot. I wanted to go with you but you had to ruin it.
"I do!" i said finally looking at him
"Really? Who?"
God Adam. Stop asking quistions
"Well...uhhh...you know...-"
"She's going with me" Fulton said breaking the silence
"Really?" Adam said
"Yep!" I said, forming my lips in a thin line
"But you don't go to Eden Hall anymore" Adam said
"Well I went back. My parents were gonna kill me if I quit" Fulton said, glaring at Adam
"Well okay i'll go then" he said
"You can always take that cheerleader if you don't find a date" i said "Or have you cheated on her too?"
"I didn't cheat on you okay" the audacity of this man
"Oh no sticker your tongues down each other's throat is not cheating. Okay if that's how you guys think here in Minesota I'm fine with it" i said sarcastic.
"Layla I apologised" he said "What more do you want from me" he said now leaning over the counter
"I want you to leave me alone and never talk to me again" I said doing the same. Our faces where now verry close to each other.
"And if you ever come here again to try to apologise you're getting on the banned list" Fulton said now walking up to us. "Now run along Cake Eater"
"Fine" Adam said and stomped out of the store
"Thank you for saving me" I said
"No problem" he said "But I guess you're my date now"
"I guess you are" i smiled "Is it true you're getting back on JV?"
"If you mean the ducks yes" I smiled and hugged him
"IIII!!! What about Charlie? Is he doing the same?"
"I guess he'll do everything for Linda" he said
"The ducks are so back"
"You bet your ass we are"
We high-fived and started working some more.
After work
"Hey Julie! I'm back" i said opening the door
"Layla! We have great news!" Julie and Connie came running to me
"Really? What?" I asked, getting curious
"Adam, Charlie and Fulton are getting back on JV" they said, jumping up and down
"Thats amazing" i said, making a groups hug.
"About Charlie and Fulton I already knew but not about Adam" I said "He came to the store today"
"Oh god" Julie said
"What did he say?" Connie asked
I told them what happened and they were shocked
"He said that?" Connie asked
"The audacity" Julie said "I'm gonna kill him
"Okay easy tiger" i said, holding her back "It's wathever and I may have a date to prom now"
"You said yes to him?" Julie said, making a disgusted face
"Not to Adam but to Fulton"
"Fulton asked you out?" Connie asked, speechless
"Not really, he kinda did it to save me from Adam but he was really happy about it" I said
"That's so cute" Julie said "I kinda ship you guys"
"I mean you have the same music taste and that's really important in a relationship" Connie said
"Can you guys chill? Fulron is like a brother to me" i said "I'm gonna take a shower"
"Wathever you say, Lover Girl" Connie said
"I'm gonna kill you guys" i grummed
"O shut up you love us" Julie yelled
"Sad but true" i said
They laughed and I went into the shower.
