~Summer of '69 ð¿~
RING...RING...RING...          BANG!
Julie slammed her hand on the alarm and grunted.
"AHH, do we really have to go to school" she asked
"Yep now get ready" said Connie
"You're just happy because you have Guy in all of your classes" Julie said annoyed "I barely have anyone"
"You have me" I said
"Yes but only in geography" she said groaning
"You also have Goldberg for physics" Connie said while walking out of the bathroom
"Wow Goldberg, great" Julie said sarcastic
I laughed and got ready for the day.
(AN: she wears normal shoes instead of those heels and if you don't like the hat you can also take that out of the picture)
We all got ready and left for our classes. I started off strong with history, it's my best subject. I don't get how people find this subject hard it's pretty logical if you ask me.
I sat down at a table and a minute later Charlie and Fulton walked in. Charlie looked a bit annoyed when he walked in. Could it be because he wasn't a captain anymore? They spotted me and sat next to me.
"Hey Layla" Fulton said "Didn't know you have History with us" before I could answer the teacher walked in.
"I want everyone to shut up now or you'll get a stripe. Three stripes and you have detention. It's like having three warnings" our teacher said
"I am miss Winston and I'll be your history teacher this year" she said while writing her name on the board.
"Just so you know flattery will get you nowhere I expect all of you to work hard and to earn your points" miss Winston finished and started her class.
Me, Charlie and Fulton looked at each other shocked and started listening to what our teacher had to teach.
After History I said goodbye to Charlie and Fulton and walked to my next class, Greek. Turns out Adam, Luis and Averman were in this class too. When I came into the room I smiled at them and sat down at a table.
The teacher was explaining that we were going to make a project about the Greek gods. I wasn't really listening because I was doodling in my book.
"Alright everyone you're going to have assigned partners for this project" our teacher said
"Averman and John" he started
"Amelia and Linda"
"William and Luis"
he named all of the students name except...
"And Adam and Layla, that will be everyone you can come grab a name from the pot and from that god you will be making a presentation." the teacher finished
I looked at Adam but he was already looking at me. I grabbed my stuff and was about to walk over when I saw Averman saying something to Adam. He rolled his eyes and slapped Averman on the back of his head. I put my stuff on the table next to him and sat down. He did too.
We just sat in an akward silence for a verry long time.
"Are you going to grab a name" we both said at the same time. We laughed it of.
"I'll go do it" I said and walked away
Adam's pov
When I arrived at school Charlie was very distant from me. I guess he's still mad that I made Varsity. It didn't help that I was sat next to him for French. He didn't talk to me at all. I was kinda happy when class was over.
My next class was Greek with Luis and Averman. Apparently Layla also followed this class. Man she looked beautiful while walking through the doors. She spotted us and shot us a smile and waved. Then she sat down at her table.
"Haha you're whipped" Averman said while laughing
"Whipped" I asked turning to look at him
"Ye for Layla you were swooning" he laughed. I mean am I really that obvious?
"No I was not" I tried to protest
"You ain't fooling me lover boy" he said while opening his book
"Luis can you please back me up" I asked
"Oh no you're on your own for this one" he answered leaning back in his chair "I know what I saw and you're already in love and it's only your first week" he said
I rolled my eyes and turned to the front but my eyes couldn't help looking over at Layla. She was doodling in her book. The teacher was saying something about a project about the roman gods. I wasn't paying attention, I was too busy looking at her. Damn I sound like a creep.

Layla looked at me and smiled, finally I smiled back. She grabbed her stuff and was about to walk over when Averman whispered something to me.
"Don't start drooling on her lover boy" he joked
"Oh shut" I rolled my eyes and slapped him on the back of the head
She put her stuff on the table next to me and sat down. I did too. We kinda sat in an acward silent until we both broke it.
"Are you going to grab a name" we both said at the same time. We laughed it of.
"I'll go do it" she said and walked away
God surely didn't leave any beauty over for the rest of the girls. She picked a name and looked at it. I saw a sparkle in her eye I think she was very happy with her God.
"I got Aphrodite" she said smiling
The only thing I know is that you're her in real life.
"Cool" I said "She's not that hard is she" I asked
"I don't think so" she answered. All of a sudden the bell rang. Class was finished.
"We have free period after luch why don't we start our project at the library" she asked while packing up
"Great ye can't wait" I said exctied
"Cool see you then" she said smiling and walked out.
"Can't wait?" someone said. I turned around and it was Averman
"Adam are you stupid" he said. Luis had already walked he was running behind some chearleader girl.
"What I really can't wait" I said
"So you admit you like her" he asked
"I mean ye she's cool" I answered looking at the door she just walked trough
"You're an idiot" Averman said while walking away
"Wa hey why?" i asked running aftr him
"Because" he said "you don't even know her"
"Well... I will" I said
"Ye good luck with that" he said while coming closer "I heard this Lucas kid also has a thing for her" he whispered
"But hey you do you. If you want to fall in love and then get your heart broken be my guest" he said and walked away
Lucas? From Varsity. I met him yesterday when coach Orion wanted me to meet my new team. He looks and acts like a jerk. I can't let him have her.
After lunch i came into the library and saw Layla sitting at a table. She was listening to a song out of her walkman.
"Hey" I said while taking the seat across from her
"Ow Hey didn't see you there" she said while turning her walkman of
"No problem I see you've already started" I said pointing to the book
"Oh ye I found a book about the Greek gods and found her in it so I just started to read while waiting for you" she said
"Alright you want to make a powerpoint or just make a collage" i asked
"I think a powerpoint would be easier" she said
"Ye same" i ansewerd. We worked for about an hour till it was time for our next class. Time really goes fast when I'm whit her.
"I have to go I have Biology see you next time Adam" she said while packing up
"Wait uh do you maybe want to work on it after school at my house?" Please say yes Please say yes.
"Sure just come to my locker after school" she smiled and walked away. I watched her walking out of the big brown doors.
"Woohoo!" I yelled jumping around. No one was around so it didn't matter. Nothing coul ruin my day or so I thought.
