LAUREN

^NEXT VALENTINE’S DAY^

“Come on, sweetheart. It’s Valentine’s Day,” Logan said, trying to lure Lauren out of her blankets on the sofa.

“No, Logan, I’m not going out,” she said, wearing his shirt and her fluffy socks as she scrolled through Netflix, her hair on top of her head. Though she considered her curse broken, anything could happen, anything could go wrong. She wasn’t willing to tempt fate.

Logan chuckled and sank onto the sofa next to her, pulling the blankets over himself. “But I’ve made reservations at the most romantic place in the city.” His hand ran up her thigh. “And both Whitney and Shana said they’d come over to watch Lachlan.”

At the mention of their son, she grabbed the baby monitor. He was so cute all swaddled up in his crib, still sleeping this late in the morning, and her heart swelled.

Lauren had honestly thought Logan would freak the fuck out and take a step back once Lachy was born, but he had done the opposite. And her fears about him not making time for her and their child had been unwarranted.

He’d answered every call and message since they moved in together, and he’d been right by her side through every stage of the pregnancy and birth, not missing even one appointment or milestone.

After Lachlan had come home, Logan had taken everything on, even the diapers. He was smitten with their son, and it made her love him that much more for it. He took care of them both the way she wished her parents had taken care of her.

Since learning about her and Logan’s relationship and the baby, her parents had reacted as she’d expected. Her mom had told her not to come crying when Logan left her and the baby for a twenty-something-year-old.

And her dad, while excited to be Poppa, treated Lachy merely as an heir to his empire and a tool to strengthen his business relationship with Logan. Just as he’d done with Lauren, he showered Lachy with his money, not his love.

But Lachlan got more than enough love from his aunts, Shana and Whitney. Dre had moved in after Lauren had left, and he and Shana were very happy together. Whitney and Lauren had grown close while Whitney helped her design the home and get it ready for Lachy.

Despite her parents still sucking, Lauren’s life had become all she’d hoped it would.

“What if we just have a picnic on the floor, fuck to Netflix, and then fall asleep before ten?” she said, setting the monitor back down.

Logan chuckled as he nipped at the flesh of her neck. “It’s Valentine’s Day, sweetheart. I’m just trying to remind you what that means.”

“I know what it means,” she said. “It means I’m probably ovulating.” That would just be her luck.

She gave him a side smile, and he captured her mouth with his. She let him pull her in, holding his kiss with excited lips. He ran his fingers up under the hem of her shirt, sliding his touch over her thighs. He kissed down her neck, then pulled her panties aside.

His fingers teased her folds, and she tensed, licking her lips while his touch made her core tighten. She sucked in a breath when his fingers spread her thickening juices across her entrance before slipping the tips in.

Lauren moaned, forgetting what was on the TV screen, her hand gripping his wrist as he played with her. He moved his fingers faster, building heat and tension so fast in her core that she panted with each thrust.

Bucking her hips against him, she lifted her foot onto the coffee table, clutching the edge with her toes as her back arched.

Logan slipped from the sofa and moved between her legs, lifting the blanket over his head and disappearing underneath it. He kissed up her thigh, his thumb working her nub as she writhed beneath him.

His hot breath blew across her pussy, and she clutched the sofa cushion, whimpering from the desperation in her blood.

“And would more little Landon-Hawkes running around really be so bad?” he asked, his tongue stroking up her seam.

Lauren gasped, the sound turning into a moan as she thrust against him. “I can’t tell whether you’re being serious or not,” she said through hot breaths that she could barely take.

The tip of his tongue teased her entrance, and she squeezed the sofa cushion.

“I’m serious,” he said. “I want them close together, and maybe this is our new Landon-Hawke Valentine’s tradition.” He brought her to the edge of her orgasm with his mouth closing on her clit. He licked and sucked until she was crying out.

The wave of pleasure built so high that when it crashed, she was swept away, taken to the depths of oblivion. She shuddered against Logan, breathing hard, her back arching. Her hands pulled his head against her pussy, where he lapped up the juices of her orgasm.

Lauren closed her eyes and fell against the sofa, taking a moment to catch her breath. When she sat up again, she saw that Logan was still under the blanket, but he wasn’t touching her. Then his form rose like he was getting up, but it stopped partway.

“Logan? What are you doing?” she asked, and when he didn’t respond, she pulled the blanket down and off him, gasping at what she saw.

He was on one knee, his eyes glassy as he held out the most beautiful diamond ring in a silver band.

Her tears fell instantly, her heart going a million miles a minute. She was lost for words, frozen in place, unable to breathe while she waited for him to speak.

“Lauren Landon,” he said, “I want you to marry me. I want to call you my wife, and I want to be your husband. Since I met you, my life has been tipped upside down. You’re a tornado, coming in and changing everything I believed.

“I didn’t think I’d ever find someone I felt a true connection with, more than love. A soulmate connection that makes me breathless and insane. The kind of connection that tells me to make big, random decisions or gestures just to see the smile on your face.

“I can’t think straight because your perfume disables me. Hearing your voice is all I ever want to hear, the touch of your body is all I want to feel, and the love in your eyes when you look at me is all I want to see.

“You’ve swept me away, sweetheart, and now it’s my turn. Let me spend the rest of our lives making sure you never doubt what we have, never fear being hurt, and never wonder what if.”

“Logan,” she whispered, her voice hoarse with emotion.

“Our love story began on Valentine’s Day,” he continued, “a day I always thought was a commercial money pit, and then there you were, sneaking into my office, making me wish it was Valentine’s Day every day just so I could relive that night again.

“I’ve never wanted this life with anyone else, sweetheart. We were made for each other. So marry me, Lauren, be my epic Valentine’s Day love story, and let me be yours,” Logan said, telling more about how he felt for her than he had in their entire whirlwind romance.

His words reached somewhere inside her she had never felt before, and she nodded. “Yes, Logan, I’ll marry you.” Moving to the edge of the sofa, she threw her arms around his neck.

He shuffled forward, still kneeling on the floor, and hugged her tight. After breaking the hug, he slid the ring on her finger, then kissed her with a fierce passion, grinding himself against her dripping pussy.

Lauren groaned and found his throbbing cock beneath his sweatpants, pulling it out and teasing it.

He sighed and kept his hooded gaze on her. “I want this life with you forever, Mrs. Landon-Hawke.”

Lauren smiled. “I like the sound of that.” She slid her hand down his cock and back up again, getting him ready for her, but she didn’t need to. He was always ready for her. Pulling on his arms, she had him sit on the sofa, then she mounted him.

Lifting her hips, she sank onto his cock with a deep moan as his chest rumbled with his own groan. His hands went to her hips, digging in as she rode him slowly, purposefully.

“Lauren,” he said, grunting. “I want every part of the fairy tale we’ve been granted. That includes an entire team of children with our last names.”

Her core was so tight and hot, her heart racing as her mind tried to take in his words. Words that made her love him so fucking much.

“Fuck,” he groaned. “You feel so fucking good, sweetheart.” His head fell back on the sofa. He brought his hands up her shirt and over her bra.

Her nipples hardened and leaked at the way he caressed them before his fingers traced her skin. She wanted to pull away—she didn’t like her body as much as he did at the moment—but when he was with her like this, she felt sexy. Like she used to.

She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, her fingers in his hair as she rode him. She picked up her pace until he was growling in her ear, holding her against him as he thrust up into her. He stroked her walls with his thick cock that took her straight to the edge of ecstasy.

And then he pushed her off the edge with a deep thrust that hit her G-spot and had her crying out, pulsing around him until he let go with her. He spilled his seed inside her, a hot and sticky claim to her pussy that she loved feeling between her legs.

Lauren leaned her head against his as she caught her breath, holding him. “Guess we’re having a football team, then,” she panted.

He chuckled. “And what makes you so amenable to that without turning it over in your head for the next week at least?” he asked, leaning back to look at her.

Shrugging, she said, “Because it’s Valentine’s Day.”

Finding her lips again, he proceeded to spend the entire day fucking her senseless, making damn sure his seed was planted inside her.

^FOUR WEEKS LATER^

Lauren shook her head as she looked at the positive pregnancy test staring back at her. She couldn’t believe she had agreed to another child so soon after she’d had Lachlan.

Another baby. Another little Landon-Hawke. Which meant more stretch marks, more heartburn, and more morning sickness, but it also meant more love, more smiles, and more snuggles. She’d take that trade.

Grabbing the test stick, she went to find Logan. He was in the nursery, talking to their son, who was only four months old. Lachlan was giggling and reaching for his hand.

She leaned against the doorframe, a smile growing on her lips as she watched them together, something she was obsessed with doing.

Here was Logan, a big-ass man who dominated the business world with an iron fist, melting at the sight of his son, every time, and it was the best sight in the world.

Lauren’s hand fell to her stomach, and she counted the fortunes from her Valentine’s Day blessing.

It’d given her Logan—her equal, lover, soulmate, and soon-to-be husband—who was as devoted as anything and the best father to their son. It’d given her a healthy boy who was just as gorgeous as his dad.

And her career had been thriving, and not because of the names of the people around her—just Lauren. Her clients trusted her, and they kept coming back. Who she associated with hadn’t mattered as much as she’d thought.

“Mrs. Landon-Hawke, you’re staring,” Logan said, not even looking at her as he picked up Lachlan, whose small body looked smaller in Logan’s big arms.

Lauren grinned and nodded. “Admiring the view.”

“Touching the view is infinitely better,” he teased through that mesmerizing smile of his.

Lauren smiled and went forward to kiss him. “Touching like how we touched on Valentine’s Day? Because we know what happens when that day gets involved.” Lauren chuckled, her hand going to her stomach as a hint.

His eyes went wide along with his grin. “Are you carrying my child within that delectable body of yours, sweetheart?”

Lauren nodded and showed him the test. He met her gaze before grabbing her chin and pulling her mouth in for a searing kiss. Lachlan cooed between them, and Lauren broke the kiss to look down at him.

“Are you happy?” Logan asked, and Lauren nodded.

She was truly, sincerely happy. Happier than she ever thought she’d be. “Are you?” she asked back.

“You have given me a perfect life I didn’t think was possible,” he said. “I’m more than happy, sweetheart.” He smiled, then kissed her softly again before pecking Lachlan on the forehead.

Lauren put her finger in her boy’s grasp before looking up at her man, saying another silent thank you for her Valentine’s Day blessing. She hoped the gifts would come back every single year.
