Chapter 546 Juliette responded with a random word.

“Women act like that when they’re pregnant. Some of them would even experience depresion Holding Juliette’s hand, Perla acted like a good mother–in–law and said with a smile, I felt the same as I had Jay. I always felt annoyed. How about moving to my place? I don’t need to be worried as there’re maids.”

“No need, Madam Perla,” Juliette calmly withdrew her hand.“I feel good living here.”

Perla nodded without any doubt and said, “That’s fine. It’s your call to make. How about I have the maid come over every day to take care of you? Jay has too much on his plate, so he can’t look after you.”

Juliette’s eyes flickered and she followed Perla’s topic, “Madam Perla, how has the company been lately?”

“Hmm? What do you mean?” Perla was puzzled by Juliette’s question.

Juliette continued, “I haven’t seen Jay for days. And I didn’t meet him in his office multiple times. Anything happened to the company?”

Perla was just a full–time housewife, who cared nothing about business things. She spent all her time shopping and entertaining herself. Obviously, she didn’t know what happened to the company.

Perla had no doubt about Juliette’s words and thought Juliette only asked that because of her worry about Jaime, so she replied.“Nothing. Maybe Jay is just busy with his job. I’ll talk to him later. He can’t ignore you and the baby though he’s swamped with work.”

Juliette didn’t ask anything else.

“Madam Perla, don’t let the maid come here. I can take care of myself.”

Perla said after a moment of hesitation,“I’m worried about you. You’re pregnant.”

Juliette rolled her eyes inwardly.

She had been thinking about having an abortion. How would she make it happen if Perla sent the maid to her?

The Herman family was on the verge of bankruptcy, so she absolutely couldn’t give birth to the baby. She still had the chance to have an abortion.

Even if she didn’t marry Jaime and share the debt with the Herman family, it would be impossible for her to be with another rich man if she had a baby.

Juliette calculated in her mind, but she looked calm.

She made up a story with a smile, “My mom knew I was pregnant, and she had already booked the flight here. So, you don’t need to worry about me.”
