“How could this happen?” Deandre exclaimed, his eyes wide with pain, not believing it.

“It’s all my fault,” Gia said, her eyes red and voice teary.“That bullet wasn’t supposed to hit Ms. Logan. It should’ve been me. She pushed me away to save me, and that’s why she got shot. I’m so sorry, it’s all on me.”

“Mr. Logan, they’re not ordinary,” Haylee said seriously.“I fought both of them. They’re professional mercenaries. I even saw a tattoo on one of them. That’s the symbol of the mercenaries under the biggest gang in Italy.”

Haylee showed Deandre the photos on her phone.

The guy who got stabbed in the calf with a dagger and passed out from the drug had a black gun–shaped tattoo on the back of his neck.
