“Cut the act,” Rayne said, her face cold.“No one else has a motive but you. Nikolas told you to do it.”

Lauryn smiled and replied, “Mrs. Stark, you can eat whatever you want, but you can’t just say anything. You say I poisoned Royce. Where’s the evidence?”

“If you did it, there’ll be traces. They’ll find the evidence,” Rayne retorted.

“Hehe,” Lauryn laughed, her eyes full of arrogance and provocation.“So, there’s no evidence yet.”

Rayne’s eyes turned icy.“Lauryn, you poisoned Royce. The Stark family won’t let you off. Do you think Nikolas will come to your rescue? You probably don’t know, but Nikolas has been arrested.”

The smile vanished from Lauryn’s face, and she raised her voice, “What did you say? Nikolas is arrested?”
