15. Accidentally Stab Her
Just a single glare from Lucas had the crowd of people scrambling away.
Despite that, each of the words theyâd said didnât miss Tracyâs ears. They mocked about how Mr. Olsen had literally ignored her, even questioning who she was.
âLucasâ¦â Tracy lifted her head, batting her lashes innocently.
However, Lucas looked distracted. His eyes were fixed in the direction Heidi took.
Tracy bit her lips hard to control the burning anger inside her.
Finally, Lucas said, âJust go home.â
The man was no longer in the mood to hang out with her tonight.
Tracy didnât try to refute his order, sensing the foreboding aura around him.
Lucas looked as if he would break something. And it was all because of Heidi.
As Tracy drove out of the bar alone, Her fingers dug into the steering wheel.
Her vision was blurred with rage that she could barely see the road properly.
At the last moment, she changed her mind and drove straight to the Harrisons Mansion.
Stella was about to retire to bed when Tracy walked in.
Tracy threw her arms around Stella and sobbed loudly.
âOh My God, Tracy. What happened?â Stella was taken aback.
She quickly helped Tracy to a couch and sat beside her. âWho got on your bad side? Why do you look this way?â
âIs my relationship with Lucas doomed from the start, Stella? Why does Heidi keep giving us trouble?â
âWhat do you mean?â Stellaâs expression darkened the moment she heard Heidiâs name.
âHeidi did not only trick Grandpa Winston into giving her the familyâs heirloom, she is also stalking Lucas and I and making a scene wherever we go.â
âWait-What!?â Stella sprang to her feet, her mouth opening wide. âYou mean Heidi has the familyâs heirloom?â
âGrandpa Winston gave it to her at the hospital. Isnât that unfair?â
âDoes Lucas know about it?â Stella sat down, trying to digest the news.
âLucas knows. Well, I donât think heâll do anything about it.â Tracy sniffled. â Heidi keeps bringing up tactics to have him running after her.â
âThatâs impossible. You mustnât let that happen, Tracy.â Stella grabbed her shoulders, giving her a firm look. âWe canât let Heidi stand in our way. Remember your mission, you must marry Lucas no matter what.â
Tracy nodded, wiping her tears. âBut you know I canât give us out. Lucas keeps his eyes on me more than anyone. If a mistake happens, heâll be the first to notice it.â
âJust go home. Donât worry about a thing.â
After seeing Tracy off at the door, Stella spent a long time pacing inside the bedroom.
She was more concerned about that jewelry.
How dare that Old Man?
âHoney, you must hear this. You have to do something about this.â She ran into her husbandâs arms when he came back.
âThat Old Man is keen on disregarding us as his family members. Do you know he went and gave that lowly girl the familyâs heirloom?â
Blake Harrisonâs expression darkened when he heard that.
He and his father had not been on good terms ever since he married his second wife, Stella. The only person Grandpa Winston cared about was Lucas, and that lowly girl, Heidi.
He refused to let Stella have the heirloom after his first daughter-in- law, Lucasâs mother, passed away.
How could he hand it over to some insignificant girl as if it had no value?
Instantly, he brought out his phone and dialed a number.
âGet all the bodyguards together. Find Heidi wherever she is. You must retrieve the jewelry from her!â
âYes, Master.â
âDonât alert the Old Man.â
Outside The Mansion.
Tracy didnât leave but stayed inside her car.
Knowing that Blake Harrison would return soon, she was confident that Stella would tell him everything.
When she saw the bodyguards gathered in one place and discussing among themselves, Tracy knew her mission had been accomplished.
A smile spread on her lips and she left the car.
âMs. Carlson, you are still here?â One of the bodyguards recognized her.
âYeah. Come inside my car. Thereâs something I want us to discuss.â
The bodyguard looked unsure as he exchanged glances with his colleagues.
Yet, he had no choice but to follow her. Inside the car, Tracy picked up her purse and brought out a black card.
âIts debit transaction is limitless. You can withdraw any amount you want.â
The bodyguard was baffled. âMs. Carlson, th-this. W-What can I do for you?â
âJust get rid of Heidi.â Tracy shrugged. âDidnât Blake Harrison ask you to retrieve the jewelry?â
âThatâs right.â The bodyguard nodded absentmindedly, staring at the card which was now in his hand. 1
âHow about after you retrieve the jewelry, you accidentally stab her? After all, youâll make it seem like a theft.â
Tracy gave the bodyguard a knowing look, and his eyes widened with realization.
