24. Openly Declaring The AG Group As An Enemy
At the hospital, Lucas showed his deep displeasure when Grandpa Winston gave her the necklace.
Wasnât it normal that heâd send men to snatch it from her?
âNeither am I a kid nor someone you can scare easily. Iâm not a toy you can toss around as you please. If you wanted the necklace that much, why didnât you go to Grandpa Winston instead of sending men to harass me?â
Staring at her extended hands, back to her eyes flashing with fury, Lucas was amazed by the woman standing in front of him.
Underneath that fury was a deep seed of hurt and hatred. His heart stirred strangely, then he retained his dark expression.
âListen to yourself, Heidi. Accusing me of stealing something from you, does that even make sense?â
âI know, you are the President of GK Group,â Heidi said mockingly. âYou canât differentiate snatching from stealing. That jewelry is mine, wonât you give it back?â
âDonât you dare accuse me of immorality.â
âIs sending men after a defenseless woman considered a moral act? Why donât you admit that everything that happened at NightBay Street last night was all your fault?â
Heidiâs anger was unquenchable, making the onlookers wonder what was truly going on.
Even Zach was surprised for heâd never seen Heidi so mad like this. âDude, youâve gone too far. Whatever you stole from Heidi, you better bring it now. Donât think you can bully her anyhow.â
Lucaâs fists clenched and clenched until his knuckles cracked.
Heidi returned his glare with the same intensity, none willing to back down.
âEat back your words,â he enunciated each word. âI didnât steal anything from you.â
âThen prove it, Mr. Harrison.â
âHeidi, thatâs enough!â Tracy stepped in. âYou donât even know what youâre talking about. Lucas has a vast array of wealth and assets, isnât it ridiculous that you accuse him of stealing from you? Mr. Olsen, you invited us here to celebrate with you. Are you just going to let Heidi humiliate us?â
âCut the crap!â
Tracyâs face turned from red to green, battling humiliation.
She gave Heidi a secret glare, acting pitiful and clinging to Lucas.
âZach Olsen, from today henceforth, every single tie between us will be severed. No more room for collaboration or any peaceful pact between the GK Group and AG Group ever.â
Lucasâs words pointed at one thing. Openly declaring the AG Group as an enemy.
âHa! You just took the words out of my mouth! Whoâs interested in some crappy business with you?â Zach didnât mind even though his employees were trembling in a corner.
Even the paparazzi almost dropped their cameras. And everyone wondered the same thing, Who was Heidi?
As the crowd murmured, Tracyâs hatred for Heidi increased.
Because even though the situation was this intense, one couldnât help but feel envy that the two most powerful men were fighting over her.
Tracyâs heart burned with so much fury that her fists trembled.
Lucas took her trembling as a sign that she was afraid. He spoke to her gently, â Letâs get out of here.â
âLucas, wait.â Her watery voice echoed in the place. âThis isnât right. You canât cut ties with AG Group.â
She looked at Zach. âMr. Olsen, are you really going to let someone come between you guys? At this critical moment, everyone knows AG Group needs an ally like GK Group the most. Please donât be impulsive.â
âI think sheâs right.â Zachâs assistant approached, almost begging with his eyes. âPlease Mr. Olsen, I know you cherish your women, but letâs not make an enemy out of GK Group.â
âBack off! Chicken!â Zach chased him away. âNo one dares to bully Heidi and go freely.â
âWonât you say anything, Heidi?â Tracy said worriedly. âBecause of you, a huge war will soon break out. Will you keep inciting Mr. Olsen to go against Lucas?â
âMs. Ambassador of Peace. Why should I snatch your job?â
Heidiâs fierce comeback had Tracy looking breathless. She gritted her teeth and moved forward, grabbing Heidiâs hand before she knew it.
âYou can call me whatever you want, but what youâre doing is wrong. Will you just stand and watch? You know AG Group canât do without GK Group.â
âSays who?â Heidi raised a brow. âLet go of me, Tracy, Iâve had enough of your hypocrisy.â
Painting herself as the saint. Tracy was really good at it.
She didnât let go of Heidiâs hand and kept on pulling, saying, âNo matter what happened between you and Lucas, you canât involve third parties. Clearly, youâre using Mr. Olsen to fight your battles.â
âI told you to let go! Donât you understand simple words?â
Tracy eyed the nearby swimming pool.
Her lips curled slightly, revealing a smug smile.
As Heidi pushed away, she intentionally lost her footing.
