50. As Good At Cooking As The Former Madam
At that time of the night, the street was empty, devoid of many people. Lucasâs driver scurried out of the car and quickly got between both men.
âMr. Harrison, Mr. Olsen, please calm down. Consider your reputation. What if someone sees.â
The driver managed to separate them, and Lucas straightened up his collar, giving Zach a deadly look.
âHeidi and I have a tangible relationship, while youâre just an insignificant lover. What made you think you have the right to question her whereabouts?â
âDamnit!â Zach yelled. âLucas Harrison, will you bring her out or not? Youâre always causing trouble for Heidi, itâs no surprise that you would decide to kidnap her.â
âWhatever I do is none of your business. Back off, Zach Olsen. Or youâll regret it.â
Lucasâs eyes were blazing with so much anger, that the driver feared for the destruction of both men.
Because Zach Olsen also looked madly enraged.
âHow about I make you regret it first?â Zach rolled up his sleeves, pushing the driver out of the way. When he remembered all the troubles Lucas had caused Heidi for all these years, his nerves trembled with rage.
âWe are going to end it here tonight. If you donât disclose Heidiâs whereabouts, either you or I will leave here alive, but not both of us.â
Zach was prepared to send a fist flying in the manâs direction. Not even the frantic driver could hold him back.
Then out of nowhere, the sound of many footsteps resounded.
The three men were shocked when a hoard of paparazzi approached, surrounding them.
Literally, someone was hiding in a corner and had witnessed everything from the start.
He tipped off the paparazzi for a huge cash in exchange.
âMr. Harrison, Mr. Olsen, you are both reputable men in Phoenix City. What might be the cause of your argument?â
âYou are just about to trade fists. Mr. Olsen, rumor has it that youâre dating Mr. Harrisonâs Ex-wife. Is she the bone of your contention?â
âWith the recent news that GK Group and AG Group have split apart, itâs no surprise that the Presidents of both Groups are at odds with each other.â
âBut fighting in the public-â
âDamnit! Who summoned you guys?â Zach bellowed as they shoved the microphones into his face while flashing cameras at him. âShitty busybodies. Will you not mind your own business?â
Not only was Zach bombarded by the paparazzi, even Lucasâs driver had nowhere to escape.
But Lucas was skillful enough to slip out of the crowd.
The heavenly handsome man whose presence commanded attention suddenly vanished.
The paparazzi came all of a sudden, and both men werenât prepared.
Before the instruction to shut down the news reached the media agency, it had already spread like wildfire.
Not only on the news channel, but also the internet, accompanied by a photo of Zach Olsen gripping Lucas Harrisonâs shirt collar.
With the single headline: AG Group Vs GK Group again⦠many comments swarmed the internet.
Tracyâs eyes were glued to the TV screen, her whole being trembling with anger and jealousy.
âHereâs your juice, Maâam.â
When the maid gave her the fruit juice, the glass ended up being smashed on the floor.
The maid jumped in astonishment. â
Are you alright, Maâam? I- Iâm sorry. Donât you like the juice.â
Tracyâs heart fumed inside, and she took in a deep breath to control her emotions.
She was about to answer the maid when a sound came from the doorway.
Quickly, she turned off the TV and stood up, plastering on a wide smile.
âLucas, youâre back.â Tracy walked up to him, shivering inside from the dark look in his eyes.
âWhat are you doing here?â Lucas asked in a deep voice.
No doubt, his anger hadnât subsided for what happened a while ago.
âI-I,â Tracy stammered, then cleared her throat. Putting on a pitiful look, she said weakly, âIâm not feeling well, and Mum and Dad have gone on a vacation.
So I came here to not feel lonely, because the house is empty.â
âWhat about the servants in your home?â Lucas questioned.
Tracy let out a soft sigh. âThe servants are on holiday, and itâs scary to live in that big house alone. I told you Iâm sick, Lucas. And I heard that if a sick person constantly sees their loved ones, it makes them recover faster.â
Lucas didnât argue further. Tracy looked down and smiled. âI helped the maid out in the kitchen. Iâm sure youâll like the food.â
âYou said youâre sick. Why trouble yourself?â
Lucas went to the dining table, and she followed him. Because his tone was nonchalant, Tracy didnât know if his words were said out of care or if he was just scolding her.
She couldnât lie to herself. Because lately, understanding his emotions had become a hard nut to crack.
Wasnât it all because of Heidi?
While Lucas ate the food, his expression didnât look good. Seeing that, the maid got nervous, thinking that she might lose her job for real this time.
âPlease forgive my poor cooking skills, Young Master. Cooking isnât my expertise. If you wonât mind, I will recommend someone who is as good at cooking as the former Madam.â
Tracy stopped eating, and her vision turned crimson.
