MALIA POV
"What happened out there" Kylie asks softly.
I wipe my eyes and sit up. "The girl said something about my mom and I don't like that" I said bouncing my leg.
"It's going to be ok" Kylie says rubbing my back.
We sat there in silence for a little while before I broke it.
"Are you mad at me" I asked a little worried she is.
"No baby I'm not it's ok that was a reasonable crash out" Kylie says laughing a little.
We change and put on our jackets.
"Ok let's go out there" I say
We walk out and the game ended so I head to the parking lot waiting for stalker guy.
"Where are you" I texted him.
"I'm right here"Â I look up and is met with.
"PEDER ARE YOU CRAZY"
"Shhh Malia keep it down" Peder says trying to shush me.
"Nah Peder you got me fucked up" I say getting heated.
"Ok I can explain, my dad's a police officer and I over heard him talking about your case" he paused and looked around.
"Get to it hurry up" I say getting impatient.
"Ok I have footage you're going to have to see for yourself" Peder says lowly.
"Ok so where is the footage"
"There's the problem, it's on my dad's work computer" Peder says.
"Ok so go get it"
"It's not that simple, he's on it 24/7 give me a week and I'll get it to you"
I huff in annoyance. "Ok just hurry this up"
"Ok I will and I'm sorry about your mom again" he says sincerely.
"Yea thanks" I say walking away.
I find Kylie and the others.
"I'm ready to go" I whisper in Kylie's ear.
"In a sec" my Kylie whispered back.
"Don't start this again baby please don't" I say cause I'm exhausted and want to go home.
"Ok I'm not I promise I'm coming" Kylie says now facing me.
"Ok just hurry up" I say kissing her and then walk to the car.
I wait in the car for about 5 mins when I see her coming. She gets in and I start driving.
"You actually listened this time" I said glancing at her
"Yea I know your tired and you had a long day"
"Thanks baby I really appreciate it" I say resting my hand on her thigh.
We get to the dorm and we get inside. We take a shower and get changed. I hop in bed and lay down.
"So what's been going on and don't say nothing cause I know something's up" Kylie says laying down and snuggles into me.
"Well a stalker or who I thought was kept texting me saying that they know who killed my mom" I stop cause my eyes start tearing up.
"It's ok take your time" she says rubbing my cheek.
"So turns out it was peder and his dad is a police officer and has footage of who killed my mom so now he's going to get me the footage so I can know" I say looking down at Kylie.
"Wow is that a good thing"
"I mean yes because my mom can finally have the justice she deserves"
"That's good" she says yawning.
"Ok let's go to sleep now"
I turn over and turn off the lights.
"Good night love" I say softly.
"Night" I kiss her and rub her back.
The thought of finding my mom's killer invades my mind. I hear her soft snores letting me know she's asleep.
It's now 3 and I can't sleep. I slip out of bed quietly and go to the living room. I turn on the tv and began watching SpongeBob. I get up to make a grilled cheese because I start getting hungry.
My phone starts ringing. Like who's up at this time. I look and it's Ruby that's weird cause she should be sleep. I answer.
"Hello why are you up" I say as I hear sniffling.
"Can... I-i... C-come over" she whispers.
"Yes come over" she hangs up as I say that.
A couple minutes past and I hear a knock. I quickly get up and open the door. As soon as it opens Ruby breaks down. I rush to her side holding her up as I walk us in and close the door behind us.
I walk to the couch and sit us down.
"What's wrong Ruby" I say concerned.
"J-jjj O-ooo" she struggled.
"Shhh it's gonna be ok" I say comforting Ruby.
Soon after her cries and sniffles calm down and I hear soft snores. I get up slowly and lay her head on the pillow. Turn off the tv and grab a blanket and cover her up. As I walk away I see Kylie in the doorway.
I jumped cause why she sneaking up on me like that.
"Baby you scared me, did I wake you" I say putting my hands around her waist.
"Yea cause why you up so early" Kylie says in a whisper.
"Sorry baby but Ruby was having a rough time and was bawling her eyes out" I say walking in the room.
"Why" she question as we get in bed.
"I don't know she was too sad to even talk"
"Ok we'll talk to her in the morning"
"Ok love you"
"Love you more baby" I kiss her head and we fall asleep.
