KYLIES POV
These past days Malia has been acting real weird. And I finally got to the bottom of it. Turns out Peder had been texting her on an alt number trying to help her find her mom's killer. I was snapped out my thoughts by Malia stirring in her sleep.
Her eyes fluttered open. "Good morning baby"
"Morning, how did you sleep" I asked.
"I slept alright for the most part, what about you"
"I slept pretty good"
"We have to talk to Ruby today" Malia says getting up.
"Yea we do I wonder what happened"
"I think she was trying to say Joshua last night but i don't know"
We shower, brush our teeth, do our face routine and get dressed. We go to the living room to see Ruby surprisingly still asleep.
"Ruby wake up" I say shaking her.
"What" she says stung up and rubbing her eyes.
"Malia go make her breakfast please" I say sitting next to Ruby.
Malia goes and starts breakfast while I talk to Ruby.
"So what happened last night" I say grabbing her hand.
"Um so I was up waiting for Josh because he went out with some friends" she pauses and takes a deep breath.
"I was waiting for hours on end, he finally came back at 3 and was real drunk. I was livid but of course I'm going to take care of him so when I went to help him to the bath I smelt someone's else's perfume and saw hickeys on his neck" Ruby explained.
"I confronted him about it and that led to an argument and he pushed me so that's when I tried to call you but you never answered so I called Malia" Ruby says a tear escaping her eye which she quickly wiped away.
I was pissed off cause how dare Joshua. I can tell Malia heard and was mad because of how her eye brows are furrowed.
"It's ok Ruby he doesn't deserve you, you are perfect and he is an asshole for doing what he did" I say rubbing ruby's back.
"Thank you but I don't know what to do now"
"Take all the time you need to figure it out and you can crash here as long as you need I'll just buy a blow up mattress" I said reassuring her
She giggled a little. "Thank you Kylie your the best"
"Breakfast is ready come eat" Malia says setting down our plates.
We sat down at the table and dug in. We are in a comfortable silence. When we were finished Malia was the first to break the silence.
"Ruby I'm really sorry that happened to you I'm going to speak to Joshua for you" Malia says clearing the table.
"You really don't have to it's ok" Ruby says
"It's really not cause he shouldn't be getting that drunk where he can't control his actions" after that malia went to change.
She came back gave me a kiss and went to speak to Josh.
"How about we go shopping to get your mind off things" I suggest.
"Yea sure I do need some new makeup"
I lend Ruby some clothes and she takes a shower, brushes her teeth and we head to the mall.
"So I heard that there is this New Year's party coming up" I say looking over at Ruby.
"Yea I don't know if I'm going to go" Ruby says.
"Oh cmon it's gonna be so fun you have to go" I beg.
"I don't know I rather stay home and watch the ball drop"
"No your coming and that's final maybe you can find something or someone to take your mind off Josh" I say wiggling my eyebrows.
Ruby just laughs. "Ok if you say so"
I turn up the radio and we drive about 30 minutes to the mall. We arrive and head inside.
" so where to first" I say as I follow ruby.
"We are going to Sephora" Ruby says as we walk there.
I guess I was the designated bag holder because we visited probably all the stores in the mall and my feet are killing me. These bags aren't helping at all. We spent all day at the mall and are now heading back to the dorm.
We get to the dorm and I rush inside and crash on the couch.
"Finally dorm sweet dorm" I say feeling relieved.
"Hey love your finally back" Malia says hugging me tight.
"How did your talk go with Josh"
"Boy was he a mess like all he was saying was sorry" Malia sighs.
"All I wanna do is cuddle now" I kiss Malia.
Ruby walks in and sets her bags down.
"Thanks for the help" she says trying to catch her breath.
"My bad I forgot" I shrug.
We set up the blow up mattress and order take out. The rest of the day was pretty calm. We ended up watching Carry-on and now we are headed to bed.
"Good night Ruby" I yawn.
"Night Kylie, night Malia"
"Good night Ruby"
We get in bed and as soon as we hit the bed we are fast asleep.
