KYLIE POV
I haven't seen her since that day at the game. I accidentally bumped her as she went for a layup causing her to miss it.
I've always thought she was beautiful. I felt bad at the game but I didn't have a chance to apologize. Now here we are face to face in a library.
"Give me my book so I can go" Malia said.
"What's your name I never got it" I replied curiously.
"Your never gonna get it so quit while your at it"
I don't like getting told no I don't take no for an answer.
I take a deep breath before replying. "I guess you're not getting this book then" I turn to leave.
"Just give me the book just being face to face is already torcher" she says while looking away.
It's almost like she wanted to cry.
"What's wrong I know you might not like me but you can talk to me" I said feeling empathetic.
"You're the last person I would tell my problems to, just give me the fucking book" Malia says in a stern tone.
That kinda turned me on but there's a time and place for everything.
"Calm down amor I was playing, here" I say handing her the book.
"I'll see you around, but first can I At least have your name" I say a little too desperately.
She stays quiet. "Ok then" I turn to leave
"Malia, my names Malia"
" A beautiful name for a beautiful gal" I wink before leaving out to my class.
I get to my class right in time and sit down with Joshua and ruby. I sit down with a huff.
" you won't believe who I ran into just now" I say shaking my head.
"Who is it Jess?" They say with a smirk.
"Noooo definitely not but the girl from the game number 10" both of their jaw dropped.
"What did she say" Joshua asked.
"She was for sure not happy to see me, I didn't know I affected her that much" I said genuinely wondering why she had a problem with me.
"I heard that you caused her to break her arm" ruby said.
"That couldn't be me I swore she looked fine, when I took a glance at her" just then the door opens and Malia walks in.
" speaking of the devil" Joshua says while giggling.
She looks me dead in my eyes then rolls hers.
I scoff "whatever she's mad over something in the past"
Malia walks to her seat in the front of the class. The teacher finally arrives and gets the lesson started.
"Ok class we are doing a group project and I have picked the groups" the teacher started.
"The groups are Joshua and ruby" I zoned out half way through. I was rudely interrupted by snapping in my face.
"Helloooo earth the Kylie, you got paired with Malia" ruby said.
"HUH, she hates me we will never get anything done" I sighed.
The bell rings and I haven't learned anything. I was too focused on the fact that I got paired with Malia. Idek what our topic is since I wasn't listening.
Everyone starts leaving, so I pack my things quickly.
"I'll catch yall later I'm gonna go talk to Malia" I said to my friends.
I jog so I can catch up to Malia.
"Yo Malia what's our topic for the project" I say trying to catch my breath.
"You should have been listening" she says nonchalantly.
"I was can you just remind me"
"if you were listening than you would have known, ask one of your friends" Malia says trying to walk faster.
"Why are you being like this just tell me, and stop trying to out walk me" I reply getting irritated.
She keeps speeding up. I reach out and grab her arm " just wai...t" Malia turned around and had tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Malia what's wrong are you ok, talk to me" I say getting worried. Am I the reason I thought to myself.
"Can you just... leave me alone" she says in between sobs.
"No im here just tell me"
" no that's the problem your the reason im like this, so please.... Just... leave me alone" Malia says as she turned to walk away.
I was left there stunned. How was I the reason. All I did was accidentally bumped her and she so happened to break her arm.
All my classes are done and I'm so tried. I decided to stop by the campus coffee shop to get something to eat.
I walk in and I'm met with Malias eyes. I quickly look away not wanting to trigger her, but I'm more curious than ever.
I order my food which was a ham sandwich and a croissant with iced coffee weird combo I know.
I find a seat and wait for my name to be called. I was getting bored of scrolling through my phone so I decided to look around.
As I'm looking around I meet eyes with the one and only Malia. I give her a small smile and wave.
She then look away and continued typing.
I decided to walk over and get her number for the project of course.
" hey Malia i was wondering if I can get your number so we can keep in touch" I say kind of nervously.
She just looks up and shakes her head.
"But we need to keep in touch for the project so we can get it done"Â Malia thinks for a moment.
"ughhh fine, only for the project" she says.
I hand her my phone to put her number in. "Order for Kylie" the cashier says.
"I'll text you" I winked and went to get my food.
I ate my food and drank my coffee while stealing a couple glances and Malia. God she is so fine I thought to myself.
I make my way back to my dorm. I walk in and quickly hop in the shower.
I took a long shower than brushed my teeth and did my skin care. I closed my eyes and all that was on my mind was Malia. I fell asleep shortly after.
