Imo it really just depends on what you see as mature. There's no smut but it can get, well kinda spicy idk once the characters are together but writing those typa scenes aren't my thing therefore there ain't anything highly inappropriate - so you don't need to feel embarrassed about recommending this book to people you know elemayo.

This book is set towards the end of 2021. I decided not to include Corona - well not entirely. It'a not a global pandemic in this book. It's not such a deadly virus and they do have a successful vaccine so there was no quarantine or lockdowns or social distancing or anything of the sort. (If only :/)

I wrote the following stuff because this is my first book so I'm inexperienced and okay kinda nervous so I thought incase I missed anything the reader can just refer back to here, or if they are resuming this story after a while and need to refreshed their memory. I promise my other books won't have so much waffle in the first part alright it's just because this is my first time.

I will be writing and updating this as we go, I've just written the first couple chapters to kinda like secure the foundation so I can lay the rest of the plot nicely if you get me. Dw I have got a basic idea of the ending but not before I take you lot on a dozen de-tours. I'm going to try make this as realistic as possible. If there are any loopholes please lmk as we don't want it interfering with the plot!

Some background information for those who want to read it-

Most characters in this book are Muslim but this book is not about Islam nor does it represent it. I have researched about the areas of religion that are mentioned as well as the different cultures and languages mentioned so if there are any mistakes, it wasn't to cause offence or hurt anyone rather I'd appreciate that you inform me so I can correct it. This book centres around Muslim teenagers finding themselves in a Western society and, of course, falling in love so it's not a very spiritual-religious book. My characters are human therefore aren't perfect and consequently bound to make mistakes. Also, this is my first book so polite constructive criticism is appreciated but no hate comments, yes? I felt compelled to share my work because I felt this app needs some flavour (no hate to anyone I'm just saying). I don't want those younger than me to grow up reading books about people they can't relate to in every sense so I thought I'd begin with one of the most misconceived communities - the Muslims (not saying other communities are any less subjected to harmful and racist stereotypes). So yes my book will touch up on this slightly but I will try to keep it light-hearted (no promises I might make you cry). I also wanna know why when it comes to the description of the complexions of poc it's very vague, like it's something people are hesitant to do which I want to change (excluding the consistent comparison to food however). Moreover, I thought it'd be great to try to overcome some of the absolutely absurd stereotypes about Brits. So my point is that please give this a chance and if this book bores you or you aren't satisfied LET ME KNOW so I can amend myself. Sorry for making you listen to my rant and I love you all, no matter who you are or where you come from and I especially appreciate your presence on this planet so DON'T EVER THINK OF YOURSELF AS UNWORTHY. If you read this whole thing ilysm I wish you the best in life- may you get your dream body (I'm kinda waiting here too).

If you couldn't already predict this will be written in British English. This ain't gon be a fast-paced book and I will be portraying the interactions between the characters and then going into a bit of detail surrounding a character or story or just the protagonists thoughts, experiences or views. I thought to let you know all this so you are aware of what you are getting into and it's something I've seen a couple of writers do on this app so I thought I'd do it as I quite liked it. I appreciate all your comments and will make an effort to respond to each and every one so give me your opinion. with the description - even if you skip the next bit you'll not miss anything this is just incase you get muddled. I just gave their family for when they do make appearances which won't be too often so don't panic.

They're most likely will only be referred to by the main characters or just pop in a few times. I'm explaining it here so you guys know more about the protagonists and so you aren't put off by the long list.

Yes there's a lot but I figured it's best to quickly introduce them here as to going and explaining a whole family tree later on.

I know it's confusing - even I got muddled when writing this book lmaooo. As for pictures, you guys can send me options according to my descriptions cuz I'm really crap at finding this stuff.

Some characters in the book get married (or are already married) at quite a young age but it's all consentual from both sides.

Personality: Quiet and brooding but cracks jokes with close ones. Protective and possessive (kinda cringe ik). Hard to figure out (elemayo). Introverted. Doesn't like to beat around the bush.

Personality: Observant, sarcastic, strong willed, avoids drama at all costs, a bit of a doofus with close ones (who isn't). Hides emotions. Hates it when people attempt to sugarcoat things.

Family: Sikandar (father), Parveen (mother). Brothers: Umar & Umair (13), Saleh (20), Ilyas (18). Sisters: Husna (11), Malikah (22), Anayah (6)

Malikah's husband: Hamza Abbas (23).  Children: Hassan (1), Hussain (2 mnths) - they're Irish twins!

(Irish twins are a pair of siblings born less than 12 months apart, from the same mother of course).

Personality: Known for having no filter to his mouth. Reckless and may seem unreliable but is fiercely loyal to his close ones.

Name: Muhammad Abdullahi Shire - Mabdi

Appearance: Thick charcoal curls kept long on top of head and short of sides, covering forehead. Russet toned skin, prefers to stay clean shaven. Shrewd obsidian eyes softened by thick curly lashes (kinda envious of pretty boy here). Loves to workout and it pays off ;)

Personality: Usually says what everybody is secretly thinking aloud ( you can probably tell he and Sami hit it off lol). Starts off as a ladies man but he changes (for the better ofc). Is one of the main comedians in the group.

Name: Anwar Saqib Choudhry - Anwar

Appearance: Straight raven-coloured hair styled in a crew cut. Golden eyes shadowed by long straight lashes (I'm jelly). Facial hair: 5 o'clock shadows. Lean, lithe build. Sand coloured complexion.

Personality: Kind of  like the father of the group. Has the best advice. Extroverted. He's also sarcastic so you can imagine how he clashes with Syra;) (I enjoy their little feud a lot lol)

Name: Kairees Maraj - Kai

Height: 6"0     Age: 17

Nationality: British🇬🇧(English🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿)

Ethnic background: Grenadian🇬🇩

Religion: Christianity (Catholic) ✝️

Apperance: Honey coloured skin, keeps his ash-brown hair in waves (never seen in another hairstyle lol he ain't caught lackin). Azure eyes. Dimples. No facial hair. Muscular yet lithe build.

Personality: The know-it-all without even trying. Combats anything and everything with common sense (we all need a Kai in our lives don't we). He's the brains of the group and often the peacemaker.

Name: Sajid Jameel Ahmad - Sajid

Height: 6"2   Age: 18    The younger twin.

Nationality: British🇬🇧 (English🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿)

Ethnic background: Indian🇮🇳 (Pathan-Panjabi)

Appearance: Black hair with midnight-bluish hues (it's so pretty search up blue-black and look at the darkest shade) kept tousled, flops on forehead. Intense onyx eyes, straight narrow nose. Facial hair: more of a thick 5 o'clock shadow (bro).

Personality: Much like Zayn. Often fixing up the mess his twin makes. The type of friend who will always lend a hand. Bit of a temper tho.

Name: Rafael Mateo Lopez - Rafe

Height: 6"0   Age: 18

Appearance: Thick black hair often in a man bun or braids. Bronze skin and eyes. Keeps facial hair like Zayn Malik in his 'Let Me' MV. Lithe and wiry physique.

Personality: Cold. Detached. Mawkish. Trust issues. He's brutally honest. However is a big softie on the inside. (Shall I do a book on him?)

Height: 6"2    The older identical twin of Sajid.

Personality: Always getting into trouble. Mischievous, sneaky and loud. Kinda the opposite of his twin (this time it's the older who's less responsible lol).

Personality: He's basically Majid's twin personality wise. They're partners in crime. He's usually behind the planning of all their little schemes. Carefree but he's trustworthy. Rather straightforward as well.

Personality: She's bold. I guess she does fit the stereotype of the short girl with major anger issues. She say the first thing that comes to her mind. (A certain Pali comes to my mind). She's got a lot of anger in her from being the youngest and only daughter in an Asian family

Just wanted to share my thoughts on the 'diversity' of SOME Wattpad books. I want to start off by saying I'm in no way degrading or bashing any author here I am simply sharing my opinion. Okay so said person will include only one poc and the comments will be flooded with 'the flavour!' ' We Stan!' and frankly it's quite embarrassing. There's no harm if your majority characters are white or anything. I'm talking about the comments. It's absolutely okay to not know about other cultures etc, we can make mistakes. But someone will pop in a poc who will either be mixed, AA, latino or Korean for 2 seconds and you lot will be wilding in the comments. This is what I'm tryna talk about here. Like come on, seriously? Please tell me I'm not the only one. And also this thing about only perceiving certain nationalities/ethnicities or languages as 'desirable, hot, sexy or romantic'. So this book as you can see I'm tryna overcome that and includes a variety of cultures and so will my next books. Fml I wrote over 2600 words for just the introduction you guys are prolly like this chic's taking the piss ;).

Since I only wrote a few chapters with her pov and that this is Zayn's book, I just included some stuff about her that he couldn't shut up about lol. Admittedly my description of her eyes is a little different but this is they best pic I found.

I'm going to include the song I listened to on repeat while writing the chapters. Okay I also listened to some k pop alongside but I think only certain people like that so I'll leave it out. I like all types of musics but it depends on my mood and what I'm doing while listening to it. I'm a sucker for old songs though, ahhhh the nostalgia they being lmaooo.
