Chapter 15: 14

Ezra:

I glanced over at Jasper, seeing him whispering to Darien as my group was led out of the cafeteria. Our first activity was a Dom's Class, which I was somewhat looking forward to. I've tried to have littles before, but it never really worked out or was serious and I'm glad I'll actually get to officially learn how. I know I've only know Jasper for such a short time, but I want to be a good dom for him.

Our leader, Mr. Don, led us back through the lobby and out onto the paths and to the area with a bunch of smaller buildings. I quickly noticed that they were all color coded by their painted window and door frames to the different categories, and of course we were brought into the building accented with dark blue. After entering, we then went inro a very large classroom with lots of tables and chairs and all of the other typical classroom amenities. The only things that seemed to be different was the small play area in the corner and the shelves of child items on one wall.

We all took a seat at the empty tables, with Jayden sitting next to me. We chatted quietly for a couple of minutes until a man and a woman entered, with the girl's group following not long after. "Okay, looks like everyone is here! Hi, everyone, My name is Mr. Drake," The tall man stepped forward, and after speaking allowed the woman to come forward as well. "-And my name is Ms. Nixon. We are going to be your Dom's teachers for your time here and we are looking forward to getting to know all of the new students that arrived recently." She gave a welcoming smile to all of us, again allowing Mr. Drake to speak as well. "Hope you had a good time on your camping trip, guys, I can't wait to hear all about it, but for today we are doing our introductions class. I am aware that some of you have already been here a while, but it doesn't hurt to go over this again anyway." A lot of the other kids nodded, who I assumed were the older students.

"Okay, we're just going to go around, saying our name, our age, and our partnering status. I'll go first, I'm Ms. Nixon, I'm 40 years old -I know I'm old-, and I'm married to my wife." A couple kids chuckled at her introduction and turned to Mr. Drake. "Okay, I'm Mr. Drake, I'm also old, and I have two subs who are littles. Next we can go to Sarah..." A few people also laughed at his statement, and I was in a small thought over having two littles. I would think you'd have to be really experienced to handle more than one.

After a few minutes, it got to me. "I'm Ezra, I'm 17, and I have a partner." I leaned back in my chair as Mr. Drake raised an eyebrow. "When did you arrive, Ezra?" I looked back at him, and told him a couple days ago. "Already have a partner, huh? Congrats." I nodded, feeling suddenly sheepish as everyone else also seemed very interested. "Thank you, we got partnered this morning." Ms. Nixon smiled, saying it's good I was able to find someone I was interested in partnering with so quickly. I nodded and then Mr. Drake motioned for Jayden to take his turn. "My name is Jayden, I'm 17, and I'm unpartnered."

I sat and waited for everyone to finish introducing themselves, before Ms. Nixon walked forward again. "Thanks everybody for talking, now we are just going to do a run-through of what this class will look like. The reason we are here is because of your classifications, as Caregiver Doms. As dominants of this classification, it is going to be your job to make sure you are a good caretaker and leader for whatever current or future subs you may have." Ms. Nixon seemed to have a friendly, but also no-nonsense tone as she was speaking, urging me to pay attention.

"As you also may have noticed, this class has two instructors. This is because while our jobs are very similar, it may also be more helpful to learn both about Mommy doms and Daddy doms and different styles of dominance. There is no perfect dom in general, but there may be a perfect type for a specific sub and vice versa. Remember our goal here is to use this lifestyle as a treatment that may be beneficial for everyone involved, maybe as a way to relieve certain emotions." Mr. Drake glanced around at all of us, seeming to make sure we all understood his words.

The rest of the class was an in-depth run through of what will be expected of us and what could be expected of any subs we have, as well as methods to help people who have never tried or experienced anything like this. I saw some people who were new to all of this looking somewhat at an unease, but no one seemed uninterested or reluctant. I, for one, was hanging onto their every word, feeling like I needed to know this information.

The class lasted only about an hour and a half, and pretty soon we were collected by Mr. Don to take us to our free time, which is either playing a sport outside, playing in the game room, or apparently a lot of the doms like to ask to go and be with their sub during their outside time. I was going to ask to go and see Jasper, but then I remembered that I would be getting pulled today to meet and talk to my therapist today since I hadn't been pulled yesterday. Sure enough, after we arrived at the game room Mr. Don read out the list of people being pulled and I was one of them. Jayden was also called, so we walked side by side as our group went back outside to a large building with a couple of hallways and skylights and lots of doors. I was collected by a pale woman, with short gray hair after a couple minutes of waiting. I followed her to a door with a single name plate on it, which I didn't stop to read as I stepped in after her and she closed the door.

"Hi. My name is Dr. Henry, and you must be Ezra." She politely shook my hand and I nodded and took a seat on a grey couch that she gestured to behind me. She then walked over to a blue armchair and sat with a notebook in her lap. "So. How has your day been so far?" I shifted in my seat a bit, remembering my discomfort with therapy. "Okay. And you?" I said this jokingly, making her smile. "Good, actually. Thanks for asking. What about your day has been good?" I thought for a moment, watching her pen hover over her notebook. "I got partnered this morning and then I had my first Dom's Class." I shrugged, glancing around the room at the different motivational framed posters. "Oh! Congrats, who is your new little?" I felt a little shy for some reason as I told her. "Uh, Jasper. He's new too. He isn't really sure about being a little, though." She nodded and wrote something down. "And are you sure about being a Dom?" I didn't hesitate in my answer, feeling more confident. "Yes. I came here for that reason." She nodded, writing another note. "So, Jasper is unsure while you're feeling okay about everything. Does that bother you?" This question honestly made me pause, realizing I didn't fully know the answer.

"Um. I don't know. I know that he wants to try his best, which makes it fine." I shrugged my answer, looking at the floor. "That's good. Here we try to ease everyone into their roles, and if he has an open mind and he has your support, then he has as much as we can give him for him to feel comfortable enough to regress." I looked back up and nodded. "I know. He acts tough, but when I ask him to let me do something for him he acts different and he seems more calm. I honestly think being a little would suit him. I think that he's becoming more and more welcome to the idea." She gave me a small smile and I felt satisfied with my answer. "What started your interest in being a dominant?" This question made me pause, trying to think back to when I was younger.

"I'm not sure... I first heard about it when I was around 15 or 14 and then I started to learn more about it and then eventually in the past year or so I tried to have a couple of relationships... but they didn't really work out. I think I like the idea because I have some younger siblings and I've always kind of taken a role in taking care of them, so I guess it comes kind of naturally to me." She wrote some more in her notebook as we sat in silence before she turned her gaze back to me. "Why do you think you took on that role?" I also didn't hesitate in this answer, being used to this fact.

"Because my dad travels the country and my mom is a surgeon. I'm not sure why they had five kids if they're never home, but it's not that difficult. I'm six years older than my oldest sibling, and the youngest is 5, so it's a full house. I like the company, though." Her expression didn't change as she continued writing in silence for another several seconds. "That's a lot of responsibility. Do you get a lot of time to yourself? To go out, maybe?" I had a blank face to her tilted head, feeling slightly bothered. "Sure, I hire a babysitter when I have plans and all of my siblings are pretty easy." She nodded again, seeming somehow skeptical.

"What did you mean when you said your relationships didn't work out before?" I shrugged, appreciating the change of subject. " Well it was only two people... they either didn't like me or didn't like the lifestyle in the end." She jotted down a note. "I'm sorry. I suppose it doesn't suit everyone." I blinked, not thinking this was that important. "Pretty much."

"According to your file, you've had extensive therapy and treatment before... would you say it has helped you?" I froze a little bit, not appreciating this change of subject. "I think so. I think the meds help a lot. Everything else doesn't do much, though." I looked at my shoes, moving them against each other. "What do they help with?" I didn't look up, feeling uncomfortable. "Y'know... just... feeling bad... hearing and seeing stuff...the usual..." I let out a dry breath at the last part, hoping she knew I was annoyed.

"How did you feel bad?" I did look up this time, staring at her before going back to my shoes. "Uhh... just tired... or... anxious. I guess." I was very still, waiting for her to speak again. "Okay. We'll talk more about that later, okay? But for now our time is up. It was really nice to meet you, Ezra, and I'll see you the day after tomorrow." She gave me a warm smile, which I didn't quite return as I stood and followed her to the door. I gave her a wave back as I returned to the lobby, feeling like shit. I remember now why I hate therapy.

I was deep in thought on our way back to the game room, trying to shake off that whole conversation. When we arrived I went to the bathroom and splashed some cold water on my face, which helped. I got back and watched Jayden play a computer game, talking and laughing with him for a few minutes. I then checked the clock and saw that we have another 45 minutes left of this block, so I asked Jayden if he wanted to go and see Jasper and Darien. He smiled and we went over to ask Mr. Don if we could go to the playground. He said yes and sent the leader there a message saying we were on our way over.
