One week later
Briar's POV
The morning sun streamed through the windows, casting a golden glow across the dining table. Briar fiddled with the hem of her sweater, her mind racing as she prepared to meet Olivia's pack. The thought of being introduced as their Luna felt surreal, and Cora's voice echoed in her head.
"Relax, Briar. You're meant for this. Besides, Olivia will be there."
Briar scowled. "That doesn't mean it's going to be easy. What if they don't accept me?"
Cora's laugh was soft and reassuring. "You're their Luna. They'll have no choice but to adore you."
---
The drive to the pack house felt shorter than expected, and Briar's heart thudded as she stepped out of the car. Olivia stood by the entrance, her tall, commanding presence calming Briar's nerves.
"You made it," Olivia said, her voice warm.
Briar nodded. "Not sure if I'm ready, though."
Olivia smiled, placing a reassuring hand on Briar's shoulder. "You don't have to be perfect, Briar. Just be yourself."

Inside the Pack House
The pack house buzzed with energy as Briar entered, flanked by Olivia. Dozens of curious eyes turned toward her, and she swallowed hard, forcing a smile.
"Everyone, this is Briar," Olivia announced, her tone leaving no room for argument. "She's my mate and your Luna."
There was a moment of stunned silence before the crowd erupted into murmurs. Tara and Ethan stepped forward, their familiar faces a welcome relief.
"Hey, new Luna," Tara said with a grin. "You've got this."
Ethan nodded. "The pack will love you, trust me."
One by one, pack members approached Briar, introducing themselves with warm smiles and words of welcome. Even Olivia's parents, Alpha Richard and Luna Eleanor, greeted her with open arms.
"It's an honor to finally meet you, Briar," Eleanor said, her voice gentle. "We've heard so much about you."
Richard's gaze was sharp but kind. "You'll do great here. Olivia wouldn't choose just anyone."
Briar felt a surge of gratitude as she shook their hands, her confidence growing with each interaction.

Training Begins
Later that afternoon, Olivia led Briar to the training grounds, where a few pack members were sparring.
"I thought today would be a good day to start your training," Olivia said, her expression serious. "You've got a lot of potential, Briar, but you need to learn control."
Briar smirked. "I can handle it."
Olivia raised an eyebrow. "We'll see about that."
The training was intense, pushing Briar to her limits. Olivia's instructions were firm but encouraging, and Briar found herself responding instinctively, her movements fluid and powerful.
"Good," Olivia said after a particularly impressive maneuver. "You're a natural."
Briar wiped the sweat from her brow, a proud grin spreading across her face. "Told you I could handle it."
Olivia chuckled. "Don't get cocky, Luna. We're just getting started."

Briar's POV
As the day came to a close, Briar sat on the porch of the pack house, staring up at the stars. Cora's voice broke the silence.
"You did well today. Olivia's proud of you, you know."
Briar smiled, her chest tightening at the thought. "Yeah, I guess I didn't embarrass myself too much."
Cora's tone softened. "You belong here, Briar. With Olivia, with the pack. You'll see."
For the first time in a long time, Briar felt a sense of peace. Maybe Cora was right.
