He Rong smiled wryly.

He hadn’t had his hopes up before he’d met Luo Tianyuan. He was worried that he would face disappointment again. However, during his meeting with Luo Tianyuan, the man started to flip through the proposal.

Ten minutes passed…

Twenty minutes…

Half an hour went by…

He Rong instantly realized that Luo Tianyan was actually looking through his proposal, unlike other CEOs, who’d just flip a page or two.

There was an unfamiliar sense of satisfaction in his heart and an anticipation of rebirth.

Luo Tianyuan had shared countless phone calls with his friend and has understood the situation. When he saw the proposal, he was entirely entranced by the ideas. After he’d gone through the content of the proposal, he shut the proposal that was filled with hopes and dreams. He proceeded to look up and at He Rong, “Wenzhong must have told you that I have a factory at Shenzhen which serves international customers. As of now, the company hasn’t generated a lot of revenue yet.”

The light in He Rong’s eyes slowly disappeared.

This was no different from what the other CEOs had told him.

‘I’m very interested in your proposal, however, I must apologize, I don’t have any extra funds to invest in your company.’

Luo Tianyuan paused and knocked the table. He habitually knocked the table, which was something he usually did when he fell into deep thought. After a moment, he said in a low voice, “Alright, I’ll sign a contract with you and invest in your company. Moving forward, I will go to Shenzhen and gather the money needed.”

He Rong couldn’t believe it as he raised his head. He thought that there was something wrong with his hearing. “Pre, President Luo, what do you mean??”

Luo Tianyuan smiled and raised his head, “I’ll invest in the company.”

Despite only arriving in Jing City yesterday afternoon, Luo Tianyuan had accomplished two major things — he’d bought a house and invested in an internet company. When Luo Tianyuan let out a sigh of relief, he suddenly recalled that he had something very important to do. He had to take his daughter and Shen Yan out for a tour around Jing City. There were way too many tourist spots in Jing City, 3 days wasn’t enough for them. If they were to take their own sweet time, they would take half a month to tour the city.

He had rejected He Rong’s invitation for dinner and took a cab back to his hotel.

He received a call from Guo Weikang on his way back to the hotel.

He was acting like a poor man, so having a phone didn’t fit the image he was trying to portray. However, Guo Weikang had a point. Jing City was huge, was he supposed to travel all the way to Luo Tianyuan’s hotel to talk to him?

Guo Weikang was the owner of a sizable business. So, he promptly lent his phone to Luo Tianyuan.

Luo Tianyuan had bought a mobile phone when he’d gone for a work trip across the country. However, he found it to be heavy and bulky, he wasn’t very interested in phones either. Nevertheless, using Guo Weikang’s phone this time round gave him a new perspective of the item. He was now coming up with excuses as to how he should explain the fact that he owned a mobile phone.

Guo Weikang excitedly said, “When a few of us heard that you’re coming to Jing City, they said that they wanted to welcome you with a celebration. So, what do you think, should we have a gathering in your honor? After all, we’ve graduated for a few years and all of us have been busy living our own lives and haven’t had an actual gathering…”

Luo Tianyuan politely declined. “I’ll have to pass. I didn’t come here alone, I came with two children. My train ticket back is for the day after, so I’d rather not leave the children in the hotel the entire time.”

Guo Weikang wasn’t willing to let the opportunity go. “What about tonight?”

“No can do, I can’t leave two young children by themselves in the hotel. My daughter will be scared.”

He wanted to say that hotels were the safest place the children could stay.

“Then, should we do tomorrow early afternoon or late afternoon?”

“That won’t do, I’m bringing them to the Great Wall of China tomorrow morning.”

Guo Weikang was speechless. “You’re climbing the Great Wall? Your daughter will resent you after tomorrow.”

Luo Tianyuan confidently said, “Anyhow, I won’t be free. I’ll be coming to Jing City often in the future, I’m sure I’ll be available by then.”

Guo Weikang knew that he couldn’t change his decision and said, “Back in college, I’d never imagined you to be a great father in your 20s.”

Luo Tianyuan was a popular guy in his university days.

He played basketball, had good grades, and was a handsome man. Many girls liked him, and like any other handsome guy, he had a long relationship history. He had quite a few girlfriends in university, but ended up breaking up with all of them. Despite all his relationships ending up in breakups, the other male student didn’t envy him any less.

Luo Tianyuan easily developed feelings but was a loyal man. From what Guo Weikang remembered, he doesn’t think Luo Tianyuan had ever cried over relationships either.
