Imara had just swung open her wardrobe, searching for something to wear, her eyelids heavy with fatigue. All she craved was to collapse into bed, to nestle against Adhiraj, and drift into a peaceful sleep. But just as she was about to close the wardrobe, the door to the wardrobe room swung wide, revealing Adhiraj, who was loosening the top button of his sherwani. His eyes were locked onto her with an intensity that made her heart skip beats. She stiffened, a blush creeping up her cheeks, and any thoughts of sleep vanished as he came closer. Before she knew it, his muscular arm was around her, pulling her close as he turned her to face him. With a teasing smile, he traced a finger along her cheek, lifting her chin to meet his gaze. “Tired?” he inquired softly. She bit her lip, her gaze dropping to the sculpted muscles concealed beneath his Sherwani. A wave of heat washed over her, and she felt an irresistible urge to explore his chest, to peel away that fabric and feel his skin against hers. What was happening to her? Such unholy thoughts? But she had every right, didn’t she?“Doesn’t seem like it,” he murmured, his voice low and inviting as he gently pressed her back against the wardrobe. She looked exquisite, every curve of her body a silent plea for his touch, his affection, his kisses, and his love.“Show me your desire matches mine, Imara,” he breathed, his fingers deftly snatching the clothes from her hands, casting them aside with abandon. “Allow me to undress you,” he urged, his hands tightening around her waist as he buried his face in the delicate curve of her neck, teasing it with gentle bites. How had he become so desperate? He couldn’t quite understand. All he knew was that tonight, he had to have her; to consummate their marriage. His desire for her was unlike anything he had ever known, a fire that demanded to be quenched, not just for tonight, but night after night, every damn night.“Do you allow me?” he asked once more, feeling her body arch into his, a soft moan escaping her lips. Her whispered words, “I want you,” caused his breath to hitch, his heart to race, and his body to hum with desire. With a primal growl, he lifted her effortlessly, one hand cradling her thighs, the other supporting her back, carrying her to their bed. He laid her down gently, then stepped back to dim the lights, creating an atmosphere thick with sensuality. His gaze filled with admiration as he watched her. He leaned closer, brushing his thumb over her lips, whispering, “I truly don’t want to stop, Imara, but I can still hold back if you want.”Imara’s fingers glided along his chiselled jaw, igniting a spark that made his breath catch in his throat. He surrendered to the moment, eyes fluttering shut as her hand travelled down, exploring the contours of his chest before deftly unfastening the top two buttons of his sherwani. The unspoken invitation was clear, and a low groan of longing escaped his lips as he gently took her hands from his chest, securing them above her head with his left hand. With his right, he traced her enticing curves, savouring every inch.“Raj…,” she breathed, a sound laced with pleasure that filled him with a deep sense of pride, knowing he could stir such intoxicating feelings within her. Feelings that make a man and a woman the other half of each other! And then there was no turning back. He slowly peeled away each layer of his wife’s clothing, savouring the sensation of her delicate, velvety skin beneath his fingertips. With every caress, he etched her exquisite curves to his memory, what brought her the most pleasure, the spots that made her arch into him, and the sweet sounds that escaped her lips. He revelled, knowing that his mere touch could spark a blaze within her. To his delight, Imara was equally eager, her hands exploring him, teasing his jaw, intensifying the deep hunger in him with every gentle nip she left on his throat. Before long, the room was filled with Imara’s soft moans and Adhiraj’s heavy breaths as he sensed she was ready to take him. Positioning himself at her entrance, he cradled her neck, tilting her head slightly to meet her gaze as he entered her with a single, powerful thrust. A sharp hiss of pain escaped her lips, a cry she quickly stifled. Adhiraj paused, allowing her the time she needed to adjust, to let the sting fade. His chest rose and fell with a painful urgency as he fought the instinct to move. And the pain on her face grounded him, reminding him to be gentle.“You okay?” he asked softly, brushing the sweat from her brow before placing a tender kiss on her lips.“Raj…” she whimpered.“I am sorry, Little Tyke. There is no other….” he murmured.“I know…” she whispered. “Just hold me close. I am sure it will be fine.”Adhiraj did just that and she buried herself in his chest, inhaling his comforting scent, feeling a strange sensation as the pain gradually receded and she realised she had given herself to the one she married and now loved with a fervour she never thought possible. The feeling of him inside her was overwhelming. It was as if they were weaving a sacred bond, and the intensity of her emotions nearly brought her to tears. She tightened her grip around him. Adhiraj, sensing her discomfort, pulled out from her, worried she was still in pain.“Hey,” he murmured, drawing the duvet around them as he held her close, his fingers gliding over her back in a soothing motion. All the passionate thoughts fled as he heard her soft sobs.“Is it hurting too much, Imara?” he inquired, cursing his own impulsiveness. He should have been more tender, especially since it was her first time.“No,” she breathed, nestled deeper into his embrace, her heart beating against his. “It felt… it felt so good, so intense… I couldn’t help myself. But I spoiled it.”“No,” he replied, gently lifting her chin to meet his gaze. He brushed away her tears, his brow creased with concern, murmuring, “It’s alright, Little Tyke. Come here.”He drew her closer, pressing a kiss to her forehead as he whispered, “It’s perfectly fine to express yourself, especially with me, okay?”“Hmm…” she replied, a fresh wave of tears cascading down her cheeks. How had fate smiled upon her, gifting her with such an understanding and loving partner?“Thank you for not giving up on me,” she whispered, snuggling closer to him, as close as humanly possible.“I married you, Imara. It might be forced, but it was marriage, nonetheless. And I had resolved to make it work, come what may. I am glad it worked, and I got you,” he said, his fingers tenderly tracing her back.Imara let out a soft sigh, her voice barely above a whisper. “It feels good.”“What?”“The way you touch me, with so much love, the way you are doing now.”“Like this,” he breathed, pressing his lips against the delicate curve of her neck, igniting a soft moan from her lips. Pulling back, he gazed deeply into her eyes, his voice a gentle command, “Smile for me, Little Tyke.”She did, and he leaned in, playfully sucking on her cheek where her dimple danced.“Don’t just stop there,” she urged, and with a knowing smile, Adhiraj moved his lips lower, kissing her jawline, trailing down her neck, and before long, he found himself on top of her, savouring every inch of her as she responded to his touch, a fire igniting within her that only he could stoke or soothe. With a sense of anticipation, Adhiraj entered her once more, fully aware that this time, it would flare up a different kind of fire within her. And indeed, it did. She grasped his shoulder tightly, her nails digging into his skin as he moved in and out of her, a tantalising rhythm that alternated between nice and slow, hard and fast. Her body twisted and turned beneath him. She released a loud moan of pleasure before he climaxed and collapsed onto her, showering her sweaty neck with kisses while holding her possessively. No words were needed for what they felt at that moment. And slowly, Adhiraj pulled out from her before rolling onto his back and drawing her close against him. He pressed a gentle kiss to her head, and together, they drifted into a peaceful sleep, wrapped in each other’s warmth. This marked the beginning of a beautiful journey, a future that was fated and meant to be.——————No one truly knows what the future has in store, and many find themselves lost in the shadows of their past, neglecting the beautiful present, much like Imara. No one truly knows what the future has in store, yet they continue to learn from their past while nurturing their present, just like Adhiraj.Yet, fate has a way of uniting those whose were destined to be together from the very beginning. People often overlook the signs, choosing to ignore the whispers of destiny, but it eventually reveals itself, making them realize that everything they sought was right in front of them, and they were foolish not to see it.Such is the story of Shaurya and Vidhi. Neighbours who became friends and then rivals. Everything was harmonious until their hidden desires bubbled to the surface, leaving them in a situation where they could neither face nor ignore one another. They were like fire and ice, clashing and bickering at every opportunity. To them, it was merely a dangerous attraction, yet they remained blissfully unaware that it was the dawn of something none of them saw coming.Such is the story of Avir and Tara. Their paths crossed by chance, only to be separated by fate in a way that no one saw coming. He doesn’t remember and she couldn’t forget. ==========Author’s Note:I never set out to write a story about a runaway bride, yet the name Imara lodged itself in my thoughts. Once I began typing, the words poured out effortlessly. I hadn’t mapped out the plot in advance, and it certainly met its share of bumps along the way. My posting schedule wasn’t as regular as I had hoped, but destiny had other plans, and I’m glad it ended so beautifully.I hadn’t even planned Neel and Isha, nor Shaurya and Vidhi, but I always dreamed of creating a strong female lead who was visually impaired. I had imagined naming her Tara, but I never considered what to call the male lead until Avir’s name popped into my head. I haven’t started writing their story yet, but it’s on the horizon.Shaurya and Vidhi’s journey will be a delightful rom-com. I assure you—no knives, no abductions, no criminal antics! On the other hand, Avir and Tara’s story is going to be an intense ride of emotions, with every element I can find to sprinkle in their sizzling chemistry. Before I take my leave, only to return later this year, I have a teeny-weeny request. If any of you enjoy reading on Kindle, please download ‘Forever Yours’, check out the new version, and share your honest feedback with me. The same goes for ‘Meant To Be,’ the story of Abhishek and Kanika.Every rating and every review counts, pushes me to write more, and write better. That is all the support I ask from you.And last but not the least—Every end is the new beginning!
