Under everyoneâs watchful eyes, Ethan Smith dragged Cedric Hodge towards the restroom.
Despite Cedric Hodgeâs desperate struggle, it was all in vain.
The crowd, finding it entertaining, wore teasing smiles on their faces.
Several minutes later.
From inside the restroom came the anguished wailing like a pig being slaughtered.
âEthan Smith, I will kill you!!!â Cedric Hodgeâs furious roar echoed throughout the entire Capital City Martial Arts Association.
Ethan Smith dusted off his hands and headed straight for the exit.
âMr. Smith, did you really make him eat shit?â Ricardo Bowman asked, somewhat confused.
Ethan Smith shrugged, âAs a man, I must do what I say.â
He continued walking to the exit.
By the door, he encountered a young man.
This young man was none other than Marc Fraley.
He looked at Ethan Smith coldly, with a smile that wasnât quite a smile, and said, âEthan Smith, Iâm here to issue you a final warning.â
âCut the crap.â Ethan Smith responded with a cold sneer.
Marc Fraley casually said, âHand over Emily Taylor, and I can spare you. I could even let you into the Second Secret Realm, how about it?â
Ethan Smith countered with a grin, âHand your mother over to me, and I can spare you your dogâs life, but Iâd have to ask if your father agrees.â
âYou!â Marc Fraleyâs face instantly reddened, his whole body quivering with rage.
Ethan Smith scoffed, âWhat a fool, stop making a fool out of yourself here.â
Leaving behind those words, Ethan Smith turned to leave.
Marc Fraley was trembling with anger as he watched Ethan Smith retreat, a deadly malice flashing in his eyes.
âWhen will this Ethan Smithâs Power of Martial Saint disappear?â He asked the elderly man beside him.
The elderly man replied, âMaster, based on our calculations, Ethan Smithâs martial saint power will disappear in half a month.â
âGood!â Marc Fraleyâs face was ferocious.
âLet him be arrogant for a few days, once his martial saint power disappears, I will definitely kill him with my own hands!â
â¦
Ethan Smith bid farewell to the crowd, then got into the Green familyâs car and headed for their residence.
On the road, Daphne Green chuckled, âMr. Smith, have you noticed that since Marc Fraley appeared, the conflicts between martial artists and regular people, seem to have decreased a lot?â
Ethan Smith nodded, âYes, this is just a shift in the conflict. But itâs temporary, deep down in your bones, you all still look down on ordinary people.â
Daphne Green sighed faintly, âDifferent living environments naturally result in different mindsets, this is unavoidable.â
Hearing her words, Ethan Smith turned to Daphne Green and scoffed, âEmily Taylor isnât like that. Thatâs what sets her apart from you people.â
Daphne Green was taken aback and fell silent.
Although she and Emily Taylor were friends, she had to admit that she would never be like Emily Taylor and choose a simple and ordinary Ethan Smith.
She did not have the courage, nor the boldness to do so.
The car eventually arrived at the Green familyâs residence.
The Green familyâs home appeared quite ordinary; it was a villa in Swallow City.
Although it was also a luxurious manor, it seemed relatively modest compared to other familiesâ estates.
Daphne Green invited Ethan Smith to sit at a round table in the courtyard, where someone had already been waiting.
This person was none other than Tyler Wright.
âMr. Smith, we meet again,â Tyler Wright laughed.
Ethan Smith glanced at him, âIf you want to talk to me about Emily Taylor, I suggest you donât.â
Tyler Wright reluctantly shook his head, âAre you so cautious? Emily Taylorâ¦.â
âShut your mouth!â
Before Tyler Wright could finish speaking, an intense murderous spirit radiated from Ethan Smith!
Feeling this murderous spirit, Tyler Wrightâs brow furrowed slightly.
âTyler, stop talking,â Daphne Green shook her head.
Tyler Wright took a deep breath and held his tongue.
Daphne Green served tea for the two of them, then smilingly said, âMr. Smith, please have some tea.â
âMiss Green, we are all busy people, letâs get straight to the point,â Ethan Smith replied.
Daphne Green nodded, she smiled and said, âAbout the information of the Guardian, I do know a thing or two.â
âIt is said that the Guardian and the Capital City Martial Arts Association signed a contract years ago, demanding that the Martial Saint must not emerge. Since then, there has been no Martial Saint in this world.â
Ethan Smith nodded, âBut what I donât understand is why no one in the world has been able to step into the realm of Martial Saint since then?â
At this point, Tyler Wright chimed in, âItâs nothing more than limitations of the world itself.â
âWorld?â Ethan Smith glanced at him, âThen why canât people in the Mystic Realm step into the Martial Saint?â
Tyler Wright responded with a faint smile, âEthan Smith, youâve really taken the Mystic Realm to be a separate world? To put it plainly, itâs just a home created by powerful cultivators.â
âHome?â Ethan Smith frowned.
Tyler Wright continued, âJust like how some live in mansions while others live in shantytowns, but essentially, we are all living in this world, under this universe.â
âThe Mystic Realm is nothing more than a space you create for yourself. This space is unstable and is far from comparable to the real world.â
âIf your strength is powerful enough, you can shatter a Mystic Realm.â
Upon hearing these words, Ethan Smith had a sudden moment of realization.
âSo who exactly is the Guardian? How powerful is he?â Ethan Smith seemed baffled.
Daphne Green chuckled, âAccording to rumors, the Guardian is someone who guards a world. Those who can become Guardians are the finest of their kind, their strength unimaginable.â
Ethan Smith stroked his chin, he seemed perplexed and asked, âThen who is choosing the Guardian?â
Both Daphne Green and Tyler Wright pointed towards the sky simultaneously.
âPath of Heaven?â Ethan Smith asked, surprised.
âCorrect.â Tyler Wright nodded.
âOf course, these are just rumors; thereâs another theory that says the Guardians are simply very powerful, and voluntarily take on the responsibility of guarding a world, which is why they are called Guardians.â
âIndeed, the greater the power, the greater the responsibility.â Daphne Green also followed with a nod.
Ethan Smith fell silent and did not speak for a long while.@@novelbin@@
âDo you both know who this Guardian is?â Ethan Smith asked with a hint of curiosity.
Daphne Green remained silent, instead she looked towards Tyler Wright.
Tyler Wright laughed, âMy family does own a portrait of the Guardian. If youâd like, I can take you to see it.â
âReally?â Ethan Smith got up in a hurry.
Tyler Wright nodded, âOf course, if you are willing, we can go right now.â
âTo the Mystic Realm?â Ethan Smith asked.
âYes.â Tyler Wright nodded slightly.
Hearing this, Ethan Smithâs eyes slightly narrowed.
He knew nothing about the Mystic Realm Tyler Wright spoke of.
No one knew if there was a Martial Saint in that Mystic Realm.
More importantly, Ethan Smith could not be sure, if Tyler Wright had any ulterior motives. If he indeed went, whether he would be able to return was not certain.
âMr. Wright, why donât you bring the portrait out instead, okay?â Ethan Smith suggested with a smile.
