A young lady opened the door to a room and she walked in carrying a tray containing food and a bottle of water. She closed the door quietly behind her and looked at the lady on the bed.
It's been a month that she had been there but she hasn't accept her fate. She doesn't know what to do to make her understand the situation. She wasn't looking good at her.
Her eyes were swollen, withdrawn, distant and very sad. Her body was fragile from starvation. She had refused to eat.
"Here is your food. I brought you something different. You have to eat." She said dropping the tray of food on the little table in the room.
"I'm not eating until you tell me where I am and who brought me here." Toun said to the lady.
The lady looked frustrated. She had told her again and again that she have no right to tell her anything. But she had been asking the same question over and over and it was getting frustrating.
She was payed an huge amount of money ti take care if ber and ensure that she is kept in a good shape but she isn't helping her at all. She isn't helping the situation. She wondered what will happen if her boss know she was in such a situation.
"I'm tired of all this. I told you, you will know who brought you here soon. My job is to take care of you. So please, stop asking me that question and eat something. You need to."
"I don't wa t to eat. I'm not going to eat unless I get an answer. I want to leave here." Toun was adamant.
"You know that is impossible. You can't." She answered her.
"Then leave with your food."
"You have to take something."
"And if I don't?" Toun asked angrily. "Will you drug me again?"
She had been locked up for days. She have no access to know the time or what day. And there was no window in the room she was. All she knows was that, the place was different. The air was different and the lady taking care of her might be right. She might be far away from home.
She haven't seen the sunlight in days. The only human she see is the lady before her. The African lady who happens to be a nurse. She talked less to her. Most times she just came in drop her fiid and water and clothes to wear and leave. Or she to check on her every half an hour and to check her vitals. Anytime she tries to go berserk and force her way out she drug her with a sleeping pill which make her numb for a long time whenever she woke up.
It was surprising that she was talking a little bit more to her. Probably because she was concerned about her job. She knew she had been cooperative to her. But how could she?
She looked hurt at Toun question but Toun face remains impassive.
"I don't enjoy doing it. You force me to. It's my job to keep you safe." She replied her.
"I won't try to run away if I know where I am and what I am doing here. I jabe to leave here. I babe people waiting for me. But I am locked in a room with no sunlight or window or anh other living soul." Toun yelled at her.
The nurse looked at her and sighed. Then she looked af two corners in the room. Toun followed her gaze and she couldn't see what she was looking at. But then something caught her eyes.
The room has surveillance cameras.
The nurse moved closer to her and she said quietly. "I'm not the only one watching you. They are watching both of us."
"Who is they?" Toun asked.
"You ask too many questions. I can't answer that. I jave instructions in which I have to follow. So I habe mo choice but to drug you when you misbehave." She told her. Then she moved back from her and said in her normal tone. "You should eat. You're not looking good."
Toun sighed defeatedly. She knew there was nothing she could do than accept her fate and wait for her captors.
She looked at the food on the table and she shakes her head.
"You have to eat. Please." The lady said pleadingly. "You're not looking good. Please."
She knew she was right. Whenever she looked at herself in the mirror, she sees another person. Another version of herself. She knew she wasn't the Toun she once was. She looked different. The person in the mirror wasn't her.
The lady stared at her before nodding slowly. She turned and went to the door. She paused at the door and turned back to her.
"You have to live. That is the most important thing." She told her before she walked out of the room, locking the door behind her.
Toun closed her eyes and she felt the tears stream down her face.
She was clueless on where she was, how she got there or when she is ever going to leave. She have a feeling that she might never leave. But she want to. She have to.
She have a life that se left behind. A happy one. And this wasn't the kind of life she want. But she was there helpless and miserable. She wanted desperately to return to her life. She wished it was just a bad dream. But is it? Will she ever wake uo from it? She kept asking herself.
She want her life. She wants to go back to her life. She miss her sad, cheerful and problematic clients. They were headache but there are the sources of the money in her account. She loves what she does. She love helping them get the justice they deserve. She missed her boss. The kind, tolerant man who like jer like she was his daughter. And her secretary. The young hardworking lady with a heart of gold.
There is her family too. The family she had grown used to. The family she can sacrifice her life for. The ones who accept her for whatever she is and makes her happy and a fulfilled woman. Her mother in law, Mrs Allyson. The woman who was five times the mother she have. A strong, hardworking, patient and caring woman. The woman who accepts her despite she knows the trouble and heartbreak she can cause on her son. She is going to miss her. She wished she have the chance to tell her thank you for everything. She is the best and she was her role model. She wised she have the chance to tell her that.
And her best friend, Oluwatobiloba, the million friend in one. The best friend of a lifetime. She don't think she will have a friend like her. She misses her so much. She misses her laughter and complain on her son. Is she going to ever see her face again?
The tears rolled down her eyes as she thought about them.
Her husband, Nathaniel Adedotun Adeolu. How was he? Is he okay? Hope he has not gone insane worrying about her whereabout? Hope he is doing okay? Hope he hasn't given up?
All the questions keep running in her thoughts.
Does he know what happened to her? Does he know her captor? Does he have a clue where she was? Whag was he doing? What was he thinking? Is he okay? Is he eating or starving himself like she was doing?
Her little girl. Her first born and womb opener. How was she doing? Is she going to be fine after watching her get kidnapped? It was a pity that se have yo witness her kidnapping. She hoped she is fine. She hope she is crying wondering where she was.
She wished to get an answer to her questions.
She missed them terribly. She missed her husband touch, his laughter, his kisses, his kind words. Will she ever hear them again? She missed those cheerful eyes of her daughter and that smile that could melt the heart. Those happy voice. She wonder if her eyes, her smile and voice would ever be the same.
She was alone and she needs her family. She needed their comfort. She want to feel her husband touch, hear his sweet words, feel his lips on hers and on her head. She really miss him. She thought, weeping.
She wants to leave this prison. Dhe wants to go back to her family. But how? How was she going to do that.
Maybe if she meet her captor, she would make a deal with them. She can pay them any amount of money as long as she could return to her family.
She need them and she knew she won't be the same without them. She hae yo do everything she could to return to them.

The lady nurse watching over Toun came back later in the evening to check on her. Since she left early that morning, she didn't came back to check on her which was very surprising.
She looked at the tray of food on the table she have left it. She opened the plate and she looked up at Toun.
"You didn't eat much." She said.
"I'm not hungry." Toun said without looking at her.
The lady heaved a sigh. "Fine then. Do you need anything?" Sh asked.
"Can I get a phone?" Toun asked.
"I'm afraid, no. I was talking about food or drink."
"So I can't for any other thing. Can't I even leave this room? I'm sure this room is not the only part of the house. Why won't you let me go out?" Toun asked, looking at the lady in the eyes.
"Because I was given an order that I must obey and they know all our actions. They are watching." She replied her, calmly.
She was doom. There wasn't a way out. Even if the nurse tries to help her, she might get herself into trouble since they are other people watching their actions.
"When will I meet my captor?"
"At the end of the week. So I am told." She answered.
"Okay." She grimaced.
"My name is Phoebe. What's your name?" She asked Toun with a small smile on her face.
She looked at the lady who have a smile on her face since the first time she saw. Her eyes was sincere and hopeful so she answered her calmly.
"Toun. Toun Adeolu." she replied sadly.
"That's a fine name."
"Thanks." She muttered.

Mr Joseph and his family came out of the airport with his secretary and body guards. A limousine was parked waiting for them. The chauffeur was standing close to the door. He bowed his hesd and opened the door to the limousine for the family and they stepped inside the car.
Their bag was taken to the back while his secretary and bodyguards took the car behind the limo with just one of them in front of the car with the chauffeur.
"It's so good to be here after a long time." Eunice said sniffing the air in when they were settled in the car. She smiled, looking around at the environment. "I think I owe my sister for this." She smiled at her parents.
"You are right about that dear. We owe Toun this. We can use this opportunity to have a family vacation before I return back to Nigeria. Isn't that good, Mope?" Mr Joseph asked his wife.
"Vacation or not, I'm glad I will be able to see my daughter again." She said without much enthusiasm.
She had been angry since her husband told her Toun had been taken to Europe. It was after Nathaniel visit that she found out that her husband and second daughter had planned and abducted her first daughter with force.
Although she wanted her daughter back and for her to leave the man she called her husband but she wasn't in support of the way they go about the plan and denying her of her freedom of choice. Or having her as captive. She wasn't excited about that. But she couldn't do anything. The deed has been done. And she have her daughter back.
They arrived at the mansion. The automatic gate opened when the car got close and they drove in into the beautiful compound. They were flowers and trees at each side of the driveway and the mansion stood at the center of the large compound.
The mansion stood gigantic and beautiful as ever. Although it was looking old and have old design making it look like a castle. The grassed were lawned already and the paint was still new.
The mansion had been built almost a century ago. It was own by the Adebiyis'. Her husband great grandfather had built the house in honor of his late wife. She had always dreamed of such house. So his children live there before they all returned to Nigeria to get married and have children. They only visit the house during vacations or during Christmas periods.
Mr Joseph and his family has not visit the house in a long time. So it was an opportunity coming there.
The chauffeur parked in the parking lot somewhere far from the stable. He quickly came down to open the door for them and they stepped down. Eunice grinned from ear to ear as she peered up at the huge house.
Some maids dress in a black and white dress walked out of the house to meet them. They said a greeting in Italian and they took the bags from the chauffeur into the house. The others walked the Adebiyi inside the mansion.
A lady came down from the staircase with a smile on her face immediately they stepped into the house. She was wearing a neat pressed nurse uniform.
"Good day to you all. Welcome. My name is Phoebe Salvador." She bowed her head a little.
"It's nice seeing you in person Phoebe. I have heard of your good work." Mr Joseph commented. She reply with a smile. "She is the lady I told you about. She has been the one taking care of Toun." He said to his wife and daughter. Eunice nodded without saying anything.
"Thanks" Mrs Mopelola appreciated.
She gave a curt nod in reply.
"So how is she?" Mr Joseph asked.
The lady was quiet for a while before she answered.
"Honestly sir, not so good." She answered. Mrs Mopelola looked at her daughter and her husband. "She hasn't been cooperative. Dhe hardly eat or drink."
Mr Joseph sighed but said nothing. His wife has a worried expression on her and Eunice couldn't care less.
Eunice noticed her mother countenance and she rolled her eyes. But to please them, she asked the nurse in her usual high pitched voice breaking the silence.
"Can you take us to her?"
"Of course." Phoebe replied with a nod. "Let's go."
NOW WE KNOW A LITTLE BIT ABOUT TOUN KIDNAPPING.
