I know I have good judgement

I know I have good taste..

It's funny and it's ironic that

only I feel that way..

I promised that you're different and everyone make mistakes..

But just don't..

I heard that you're an actor so

Act like a stand-up guy..

Whatever devils inside you

Don't let him out tonight

I tell them it's just your culture

And everyone rolls their eyes

Yeah I know

All I'm asking baby

Jaydev felt his sleep breaking by a feminine voice. A song? Yeah, it was surely a song that disturbed his sleep.

He tossed and turned and slowly opened his eyes. It took him a few seconds to adjust his vision. His gaze fell on the woman standing before the mirror and doing her makeup.

" Tsk!"

He groaned, irritated by the sound of music in the early morning.

" Turn this shit off!"

He pulled the duvet up to his face and she ignored him like he did not exist in the room.

Jaydev frowned, " wait-"

He pulled the duvet down from his face and sat up immediately.

" What the hell?"

She again ignored him and started brushing her hair. He moved his eyes up and down at her. She has worn one of his shirts which is reaching till her mid thigh.

He hurriedly got down from the bed and turned off the music first then walked toward her.

" What is this nasty behaviour? Why have you worn my shirt?"

" Do you see any clothes for me here? No right? I will take it off once my clothes arrive here. My mother has sent them with the driver."

She said and he shook his head.

" Take it off now!"

She faced him and pointed the comb at him.

" Keep your nasty talk to yourself."

" Just take my shirt off. Wear your old clothes-"

She chuckled sarcastically and turned her back at him. While combing her hair she said,

" The wedding night was yesterday, not today."

" What the-"

He clenched his jaw and snatched the comb from her. She sighed heavily and put her hands on either side of her waist.

" What is your problem, man?"

" This is mine. You are not allowed to touch it."

" Such childish behaviour. Stop being possessive. I am your wife-"

" You are not! Our marriage is limited only to papers and society. Beyond that, neither you are my wife nor I am your husband. There is no need to do this useless drama."

" Ho gaya?"

( Done?)

She uttered boringly then forward her hand at him,

" Give it back."

She ordered and expected him to obey but he clenched his jaw and fisted the comb.

" Aren't you being too daring? Just because I am being nice to you, doesn't mean you'll do as you please."

" Oh please! I will surely do whatever I like."

She replied sarcastically and faced her back at him.

" Nahi dena to mat do."

( Don't give if you don't want to.)

She replied and tied her hair with a rubber band. She sat on the stool and started applying moisturiser on her hands.

She got startled when he threw the comb somewhere in the room then went to the bathroom and did not forget to show his anger by closing the door loudly.

" Aur karo shaadi mujhse. I believe, your enmity with my brother will be less than with me soon, Jaydev Chaudhary."

Her eyes landed on the perfume and she picked it up. She sprayed it on her wrist and smelled it. The fragrance was so nice so she shrugged her shoulders and decided to wear his cologne as well.

She stood up and stretched her arms. She removed her mobile from charging and saw the message from Pakhi.

Di, Mammi has sent all your belongings.

Are you okay? Bhai didn't trouble you right? I apologise on his behalf.

She sighed, knowing Pakhi would be regretting so much right now after the deeds her brother did. Aryan must have gotten angry at her.

But she doesn't hold any grudges against Pakhi. The innocent girl is just stuck between two mad men. In these 6 months, she will definitely set the mind of one of these two right.

She did not connect Bluetooth with the speaker and played songs on her mobile. She was enjoying her alone and peaceful time when a maid knocked on the door.

She looked down to her clothes and bit her lower lip. Shaking her head, she went to open the door and as expected, the maid first glanced at her clothes before smiling to herself.

Shruti glanced at her suitcases before saying, " thanks for these."

" Oh yes, mam. Here."

The maid slid her suitcases to her then left. Shruti locked the door from inside and before removing her shirt, she looked at the bathroom door.

She does not have energy and time to go and knock on his door then tell him not to come outside until she's changing clothes. So, she decided to lock the bathroom door from outside.

She opened one of the suitcases and found her clothes. She took out her undergarments and desired outfit then put them on the bed.

She stripped off her shirt and removed previous undergarments before wearing the new one. She quickly wore her outfit which consisted of formal pants, full sleeve t-shirt and a belt.

She opened another suitcase and found her accessories. She wore her watch and decided not to wear a neck piece as Jaydev has already awarded her with one neck piece. Mangalsutra.

She saw the bottle of vermillion. Her mother must have put it here. She took it and put it aside. She was about to close the suitcase but stopped as her eyes landed on a photo frame. Her family photo.

Smile formed on her lips and she picked it up. Her eyes landed on her father and a gloomy expression spread on her face.

" I am sorry, papa but I did all this for you. I'll fix everything soon."

She put the frame back in the suitcase and opened another in which her laptop and other useful things were put. She took out her laptop and 2 books and put them in her handbag.

She wore her sandals and stood up. She observed her things carefully. There are so many things. Total 5 bags were sent by them. Till now she thought that she did not have many clothes but two bags were full of clothes only.

She sighed and grabbed a vermillion bottle . She stood in front of her mirror and put vermillion on her hairline then tied her hair in a low ponytail.

Her attention was diverted to the bathroom when she heard impatient banging on the door.

" What the fuck, woman! Open this shit right now before I throw you out of the window."

She rolled her eyes, " he nags a lot."

She carefully made her way to the bathroom, not wanting to put her feet on her things scattered on the floor. She unlocked the door and he came out wearing a towel around his lower body.

" Oh-"

She stumbled back because he came out at full speed as if he was running from the lizard.

" What is this garbage?"

He offended her by his words.

" Excuse me! These are my precious things, not any garbage. Mind your language."

He turned to her and pointed at her things on her ground and said while staring into her eyes.

" Throw these out or I will burn them."

She smiled over sweetly and asked, " mujhe har din apni shirt mein dekhna chahte ho kya?"

( Do you want to see me in your shirt every day?)

" You-"

He stopped himself from cursing and rubbed his face irritatedly then tried saying in calm tone,

" I don't have enough space to put these in my room."

" It's alright. I'll manage."

He glared at her and ran his fingers into his wet hair then started walking away.

" Careful! Make sure you don't put your feet on my things-"

" Shut up!"

She rolled her tongue inside the mouth and smirked. He carefully made his way from the hurdles on the floor and came in front of her almirah. He took out his clothes and put them on the bed.

" Jaogi ab ke kapde badalte huye dekhna chahti ho mujhe?"

( Will you go or do you want to see me changing?)

" Yeah sure," she replied and grabbed her mobile and hand bag from bed then walked out of the bedroom.

He scoffed and started wearing his clothes.

Shruti reached downstairs and saw everyone in the living room. They turned their attention to her. She greeted them but only Janaki acknowledged her greetings.

" Are you going to work?"

" Yes, Nani."

Shruti replied.

" Have breakfast before going."

" No, it's alright. I am already late. I'll have something in University," Shruti reassured her.

" But-"

" It's alright, Nani. Uhm I should get going."

" Oh okay," Janaki uttered and Shruti smiled at her before walking out of the house.

She checked the time and realised she still has 45 minutes to reach University. She doesn't have her car so she'll just take a cab today.

She tapped her foot impatiently on the ground. The cab must arrive soon. She waited almost 10 minutes and was able to see her cab when she heard a voice behind her,

" Cancel it. I'll drop you."

She turned around and saw Jaydev. The cab stopped in front of her and she was about to go near it when Jaydev came forward and said to the driver,

" The ride is cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience. Your money is here. Now, you can leave."

Shruti glared at him while the driver took money and left without saying anything because who would like to fight with SP?

" I don't have time to waste with you."

" Shut up," he said to her and went inside the house. The guards opened the main gate and he came with his car.

" Get inside," he said to her after opening the window. She sighed heavily and sat on the passenger seat without any further argument.

Him, too, not saying drove away from there with her.

Pakhi gasped when Aryan suddenly entered the room and the saree she was draping slipped down. Her eyes widened while Aryan stopped on his track, seeing her in a petticoat and blouse only.

She quickly picked up the saree and faced her back. Due to embarrassment, she failed to find the ends of the saree. Aryan suppressed his smile and cleared his throat.

" Should I help you?"

His eyes stopped at her bare waist and he gulped down his saliva.

" No," she replied and he shrugged his shoulders then went to the bathroom. Pakhi took a breath of relief and started draping her saree.

She sat on the stool to do her makeup and he came out while drying his hair with a towel.

Maybe, he takes a shower fast or she does her work slowly. He stood behind her and stared at his face in the mirror.

" Don't you think I am too handsome?"

She frowned and looked at his reflection in the mirror. It was an unexpected question but too easy to answer. Of course he's handsome but she chose to say opposite,

" I don't know."

" Why? Have you not seen my face?"

He chuckled and walked toward the bed.

" I mean, yes you are but I don't know how much."

Both did not understand her words. He passed her perplexed look and she looked down to her lap.

" Don't ask me."

He smiled slightly and faced his back at her. None said anything until he was wearing his clothes and she was doing her makeup.

" Suniye," she called.

( Listen.)

" Hmm," he responded while buckling his seatbelt.

" Can you take me to the Temple then drop me at bhai's police station?"

" I can take you to the temple but cannot drop you at the station, knowing what he did to my sister."

She walked toward him and said, " I want to talk to him."

He turned around, " I won't let you. Simple."

She frowned, " you can't impose your likes and dislikes on me."

" Oh no, sweetheart. I surely can."

She took a deep breath, " please at least let me go today."

" Why? Is there any special occasion?"

He asked and walked past her. She turned around and saw him taking out something from the drawer.

" It's his girlfriend's death anniversary."

For a few seconds, his movement stopped and he uttered, " oh," before continuing to search his watch in the drawer.

" Please let me meet him."

" Okay," he replied without any further questions and she smiled widely.

" Thank you so much," she said.

" Let's go then," he said.

" Okay," she replied and wore her sandals then both left the room. Pakhi saw Ekta in the living room only.

" Where's papa?"

Aryan asked and Ekta shifted her attention from the tea.

" He's still in the room. He has not uttered a single word since yesterday."

Pakhi felt bad seeing their condition. Shruti's absence is felt by everyone here. If what happened yesterday had not happened, then right now Rajdeep would have been laughing with his daughter and both of them would have been talking about politics.

" Mammi," Pakhi came forward and held her hands.

" I will talk to Bhai. Whatever he did was wrong. I'll make him understand."

Ekta smiled slightly because she has also gone through the same thing that Shruti is going through now.

" Are you two going somewhere?"

" Temple," Pakhi replied.

" Okay," Ekta replied and both Aryan and Pakhi left the house and eventually drove away.

They worshipped in the temple. Aryan, surprisingly, followed her and performed puja with her. They drove away from there.

" First, I have work at a firm. You need to wait there for a while then I'll take you to the police station."

" But what if you refuse later," she uttered worriedly.

" I won't, sweetheart.'

" Okay, " she replied in a tiny voice, trusting him one more time.

Some past memories flashed in Aryan's brain. He recalled the time he, Jaydev and Eisha used to be together.

Eisha, love of Jaydev and the daring girl of University. She could fight with anyone she thought was wrong. Her feisty personality, logical thinking and of course beauty attracted Jaydev. Both were power couples.

" Just wait for a few years, dude and I'll be a police officer. Criminals will run in fear hearing my name. SP Jaydev Chaudhary."

" Yeah, sure."

Aryan replied while reading a book which Jaydev snatched. Aryan sighed heavily while Jaydev wrapped his hand around his shoulder.

" Why don't you find any girl friend for you?"

Aryan rolled his eyes, " you know I can't. You take my test every month. Trust me, bro I love your sister and I'm not gonna leave her soon."

Jaydev chuckled.

" What about me guys?"

Both turned around and saw Eisha. Jaydev removed his grip from Aryan's shoulder and forward his hand at her. She grabbed it and sat down beside him on the bench.

" Once I become something, I will ask your hands for marriage."

Eisha shook her head, " no need to. I hate my chacha and chachi. I don't think they deserve to choose my groom."

Both the guys laughed at her.

Aryan smiled recalling those days. Even teachers used to compliment their friendship. Eisha hated her chacha and chachi as they were taking care of her after the death of her parents. She did not have a good bond with them. They, too, were taking care of her because of the property her father left her. She wanted to live separately and for that, she was studying hard to become something but her dream was left incomplete.

Aryan and Jaydev were like the North and South poles. Both were opposite of one another. Jaydev could never control his temper while Aryan knew where to use his temper and where not. They didn't need anyone until they were together.

" Suniye- what happened?"

Pakhi's voice brought him back to reality.

" Yeah?"

He carefully wiped the water from the corner of his eye. Pakhi was unsure if he was crying or not, so she dropped the topic right there.

" Is there any restaurant near your firm? I am hungry."

He smiled, liking the way she's getting comfortable with him.

" I'll order food for you."

" Okay," she replied.

They both soon arrived at his firm. Aryan's workers greeted him along with her. Maintaining his professional aura, he took his wife to his cabin.

She sat on the couch as he gestured there.

" I have a meeting so until then wait here then we both will leave. My assistant will bring breakfast for you."

Pakhi nodded and he grabbed a file from the desk before walking out of the cabin. He called a worker and ordered her to keep watching his cabin and make sure nobody other than him and his assistant goes inside.

Pakhi waited for half an hour and a lady came into the cabin. She assumed her to be his assistant.

" Here is your breakfast, mam. Please enjoy it and tell the man outside if you need anything."

" Okay, thank you."

The assistant left and Pakhi started having her breakfast. She threw the disposal in the dustbin after eating her food then sat back on the couch.

She checked the time and realised it was almost 12 noon. She grabbed her mobile and used it until he came but he did not. An hour later, she couldn't hold herself from scoffing.

" He lied again, didn't he? I won't, SwEeThEaRt."

She imitated his words in a weird way and lay on the couch. She was using her mobile angrily and just like this, she slipped into her dreamland.

Aryan came and found her sleeping.

" I should let her sleep," he sat to himself and removed his overcoat then put it over her and went to sit on his chair then started working.

Typing sound echoed in the whole cabin along with his voice whenever he talked to his workers or clients.

" I need to win this case, Mr. Chauhan."

Aryan glanced at his wife when she stirred in her place.

" Keep your voice low. My wife is sleeping."

The client apologised and discussed his case with him.

..

Pakhi woke up and gasped when realisation hit her. Aryan turned around while talking to someone via call and found her seeing something in her mobile.

She slapped her forehead, " 4 baj gaye?"

( It's 4 already?)

" Yeah, I talk to you later, Mr. Bugga," he disconnected the call.

She looked at him and fisted her hands in anger.

" You again lied na?"

He shook his head and walked toward her.

" You were sleeping so I didn't find it right to disturb you. We can leave now."

She crossed her hands around chest aguishly and he stood in front of her then fixed her hair which got messy due to sleeping.

" Don't be angry. Have some tea then we'll leave," he said softly.

" I don't want anything," she refused to have it.

He sighed, " okay. Let's go then."

" Ghar mat le jaana ye bol ke," she said to him sarcastically.

( Don't take me home after saying that.)

" Don't give me ideas," he replied and grabbed his coat from the couch.

" You-"

" Let's go," he held her hand and both walked out.
