Shruti was pinned against the closed door as soon as they entered the bedroom. She expected this after a silent ride with him.
" What the-"
She raised her hands to push him but he grabbed one of them and folded it behind her back.
" You made your father do that, didn't you?"
He gritted his teeth.
" I did not," she gasped when he pulled her close to his chest and grasped her chin with another hand.
" Listen you stupid little girl, I won't marry you like that. Our marriage was limited to papers only. Stop playing such tricks. You are not going to succeed anyway."
He spat arrogantly and pushed her way and stepped back.
" Stupid," he uttered once again and faced his back at her.
Shruti narrowed her eyes and glanced at her wrist which he had grasped a few seconds ago. Jaydev started removing his coat.
" Do you think I am dying to marry you?"
She scoffed and passed him a judgemental look.
" It seems like," he replied and threw his coat at the couch.
" Keep dreaming, Mr. Chaudhary. Even my shoe will not marry you."
" Shoe can't even marry, My dear wife. Seems like you became a professor by giving a bribe."
He taunted her and moved towards the bed.
" Do you have any problems?"
" No no, professor."
He climbed up on the bed and lay down on his side. He put his arm on his eyes. Shruti stood beside bed and moved his arm down from his eyes.
" Right. As a professor I know very well how to make arrogant people apologise."
He raised his eyebrows and jerked her hand away from his arm.
" Make me. Let's see how you succeed."
He covered himself with a duvet and turned his back to her.
" Don't challenge me, Mr. Chaudhary and apologise right now for behaving like that to me."
She warned him anguishly.
" I won't," he replied carelessly.
She clenched her jaw and glared at him for a minute almost before disappearing into the bathroom.
Jaydev did not trouble himself by her little warnings and thought of ways to escape the upcoming wedding. He won't marry her. He can't marry anyone. He had promised Eisha. She was the only girl he wanted to marry. There's no one above her.
But, if Rajdeep Chauhan has decided, he will surely set up his marriage. It's his decision in the end if he wants to marry her or leave her.
They played really well. They know his weakness and strength so it is easier for them to fight against him.
He heard sounds of her footsteps and closed his eyes, not wanting to interact with her . She slipped into the duvet and faced her back at him. Soon, both of them drifted into their dreamland.
Next morning,
Jaydev's sleep disturbed as sun rays caressed his face. He blinked several times to fix his vision and frowned, feeling pain in his arms.
Why?
He tried moving his arms but they stuck above his head. He heard sounds of steel as he moved his hands.
" What the fuck?"
He looked above and found his hands cuffed with headpost.
" What the hell?"
He cursed and turned his gaze to the culprit.
" Have you gone crazy, woman?"
Shruti, while applying lipstick, stared at his reflection in the mirror.
" You like it, dear husband?"
She smiled in a sassy manner then stood up and turned around. She gasped dramatically.
" Uf! You look annoyingly hot, husband. Handcuffed. On the bed. In my mercy."
He clenched his jaw and tried getting up but it was difficult due to his hands cuffed on the headpost.
" Free my hands, Shruti, otherwise it won't end well."
He threatened her.
" No no no, husband. Right now, you are under my mercy. Keep your voice low and words respectful."
He groaned in irritation and she chuckled, enjoying his situation.
" I'll let you go once you apologise."
" Never!"
He snapped at her. She shrugged her shoulders and wore bangles. Just then, his eyes rested on her figure. She was wearing a yellow saree today and looked undoubtedly beautiful.
" Untie my hands, Shruti."
She shook her head.
" You apologise and I free your hands."
Her bangles created a soulful sound as they clicked together.
" How do I look?"
She asked with a wide smile and he rolled his eyes before replying,
" Stupid little serpent."
" The serpent also knows how to bite," she replied.
He sighed heavily and said frustratedly, " free me, Shruti. I am getting late."
Shruti rested her hands behind on the edge of dressing table to take support and said,
" I have given you an easy task, SP Saab. You just have to apologise."
His hands fisted and jaw clenched. She succeeded, noticing his aggressive reaction. Although it made her nervous, she was adamant not to free him until he apologised.
He glared at her for a few seconds before crushing his ego and saying what she desire to hear since last night,
" I... apologise for behaving like that to you. I won't repeat my mistake."
Her eyebrows knitted together because as much as she knows him, he is not the man to accept his defeat this easily.
" Now free me," he said impatiently.
She blinked and wondered what was running in his evil mind. Patting herself mentally, she grabbed the key from the dressing table and walked toward him.
She put her knees on the mattress. His eyes followed the movement of her hands. Smirk formed on his lips when she freed his left hand first. Her movement was slow and she was ready to run.
But it was too late.
Once Jaydev got his left hand freed, he wrapped it around her bare waist. She gasped as he pulled her over himself and tightened his hold on her waist, not letting her escape.
Her breathing stuck, eyes widened and hands rested on his chest unknowingly.
" Is hathkadi se kaise bachogi?"
( How will you escape from this handcuff?)
Her heart beat accelerated as she found the cage of his arm more dangerous than the handcuffs. His right hand was still stuck against the headpost.
Her face was a few inches above his.
" Bar baar meri yu mere kareeb aane ki koshish kuch jada hi nahi ho rahi?"
( Are you not trying hard to come closer to me again and again?)
She fluttered her eyelashes down and gazed at his lips for a few mere seconds as he uttered the above sentence. She inhaled a deep breath and closed her eyes when he pressed his fingers on the side of her waist. It did not hurt her, but burned her skin.
" Breath," he whispered and the next second she released the breath she was holding.
His gaze fell on her throat when she gulped.
" Dobara karogi Aisa?"
( Will you do it again?)
He asked like she was one of his prisoners. She, unwillingly, shook her head side by side instantly.
She arched her back as he applied pressure of his hand on her back. Her fingers curled on his t-shirt. He grabbed the opportunity and roamed his eyes all over her face.
She looked drop-dead gorgeous today.
" Will you trouble me again?"
His smirk grew wider as he found the current moment entertaining but Shruti did not. She is feeling things in her stomach. Her heart is beating loudly and she is finding it difficult to open her eyes and look at his eyes.
" N..no," she replied timidly.
What a moment.
The wild lioness turned into a timid kitten in his arms.
She thanked her stars when he removed his grip around her waist. She did not wait a second to get down from him.
" Key?"
He forwarded his left hand at her and she hurriedly put the key on his palm before getting down from the bed and quickly running away from the room. He couldn't stop himself from laughing at the way she escaped.
Shruti grabbed the railing on the terrace and clutched her left chest with one hand. Her heart is still beating. The previous moment played in her mind like a movie which knew no end.
His touch was still lingering on her body. The proximity was vicious. The way his eyes looked into hers- she could forever lose herself in those almond eyes.
But, it was wrong. Neither she has any reason to feel like this for him nor he has. He is still in love with his late girlfriend. She resides in his heart. She is still his everything and he can never give her place to anyone.
" Shruti?"
She dropped her hand down from chest and turned around as she heard Janki's voice.
" God! My knees," Janki muttered.
" You shouldn't have come here, Nani."
Shruti walked toward her.
" I saw you running to the terrace. I got worried that is why I came. Are you okay?"
Shruti smiled at her genuine concern.
" Yes."
Janki frowned and asked, " but you were running like crazy. Did Jay trouble you?"
His mention, unknowingly made her blush. She immediately shook her head.
" No, Nani. I am okay. Let's get down."
Janki wasn't convinced, still nodded. Shruti grabbed her hand and both went down from the terrace.

Pakhi went to the balcony and called Aryan.
" Suniye?"
( Listen?)
Aryan did not reply as he was busy discussing something important with his client.
" We will win the case, Mr. Roy. She may have met many lawyers but not me."
Pakhi is sure he must be smirking. Aryan took a sip of tea and she called him one more time,
" Suniye?"
( Listen?)
She frowned when no reply came from his side this time as well.
" Believe me, I will defeat that arrogant girl in such a way that she will never think of fighting against me again."
She folded her hands around her chest, not knowing which girl had grabbed the interest of his.
" Listen-"
She was interrupted in the middle when he laughed with his client.
" You just send me-"
Aryan stopped in the middle when his mobile was snatched by someone from him.
" What the fu-"
He refrained himself from cursing seeing his wife who disconnected the call and put her hands on either side of her waist. He blinked as she glared at him and said anguishly,
" About whom you are talking that you are ignoring me? I have been calling for the past hour."
She lied.
" Really? I didn't hear you."
She rolled her eyes, " sunoge bhi kaise jab apni tareefon ke pul badhane mein lage ho."
( How will you hear when you are busy singing your own praises?)
She walked outside the balcony and he followed her.
" Biwi, my phone. I was discussing a case with a client."
She put his phone on the bed and said, " won't you ask what I wanted to say?"
" Sure," he said and grabbed his mobile before taking the last sip from the cup.
Witnessing lack of interest in him, she decided not to say anything.
" Leave it."
He lifted his gaze from mobile to her and sighed, " acha bolo. Sun raha hu."
( Speak. I am all ears.)
She grinned mentally and cleared her throat.
" First tell me, who do you want to defeat in court?"
He put the cup and mobile on the table nearby then stretched his arms and said,
" There's a lawyer. She's so arrogant and sly- a perfect competition to me. I have a case to handle next month and she's against me. She has not yet lose any cases so it will be more fun to fight."
" Have you lost any cases till date?"
Pakhi asked curiously.
" What do you think?"
He smirked and started wearing his shirt.
" You must have. I think the girl will not lose this time as well."
He raised his eyebrows amusingly and while buttoning up his shirt, asked,
" You should support your husband, biwi, not an unknown lady."
" I have no reason to support you," Pakhi replied.
He chuckled and fixed his collar.
" How am I looking?"
He asked. She roamed her eyes up and down at him. He's in black shirt and grey formal pants. He looked handsome as always but she had no plan to compliment him.
" Monkey."
" Do you have poor eyesight, baby? How can you call a hot lawyer a monkey?"
She laughed and he frowned.
" I was not joking. It's a fact."
He wore a belt and watch and she utilised the time teasing him.
" You should not praise yourself, Mr. Chauhan. Accept this that you are not hot and handsome. You are just an arrogant, egoistic man."
" Whatever," he muttered and faced her.
" What?"
She raised her eyebrows and he stepped closer to her. She walked backward instantly.
" W..what?"
Corner of his lips curved into a smirk and he continued walking close to her until her back hit against the door behind. He put his hands on either side of her, on the door.
" Step back," she said and pressed herself on the door, not wanting to initiate any touch.
Her breathing stuck when he brought his face close to her. She released the breath she was holding as she felt him cupping her cheek.
" Don't touch," she said timidly.
" Why?"
He whispered and rubbed his nose against her.
" I-"
" Aryan."
She frowned and looked into his eyes confusedly when he uttered his own name.
" Call me by name. If not this, you have so many options."
" Like?"
He glanced at her lips for a few seconds then said,
" Like sweetheart, honey, husband, baby, anything."
Her frown grew deeper and the next second she pushed him away from her and pointed her finger at him.
" Sweetheart and honey? Tell me, from which angle are you sweet? Baby?"
She chuckled sarcastically and continued,
" 28 saal ke aadmi ko baby kon bolta hai? Mat thodi na maari gayi hai meri. Aur naam to maine aapko bahut se diye hai."
( Who calls a 28 year old man a baby? I am not crazy to do that. And I have given you so many names.)
" Jaise?"
( Like?)
She smiled over sweetly, " bandar, pakhandi, ghamandi, badtameez vagarh vagarh."
( Bandar, hypocrite, arrogant, insolent etc etc.)
He laughed and grabbed her hand.
" Leave me-"
She gasped when he swirled her around and pulled her back to his chest. She couldn't process anything and he put his hand on her bare belly.
" That is why I love you."
She widened her eyes and stopped her movements when he suddenly left a kiss on her cheek from behind.
" What? Why did you get silent? Won't you tell me more names?"
He teased her and put his lips on her cheek once again. She closed her eyes tightly and grabbed his hand which was on her belly.
" Please leave me.."
She said, feeling her cheeks turning warm.
" Ahnm," he hummed and took her flesh in between his teeth then pulled it. She hissed in pain.
" Dard hua?"
( Painful?)
He whispered near her. His voice was teasing.
" Y..yes," she agreed.
" Ah!"
Sharp pain struck her when he bit her cheek once again.
" Ab?"
( Now?)
" Y..yes," she gave the same answer and curled her toes feeling the weird sensations.
She parted her mouth when he gave a gentle open mouth kiss on the bitten area of her cheek.
" Ab?"
( Now?)
She gulped down her saliva and licked her lower lip before saying, " no."
Her voice was barely audible but as he was close to her, he could hear her properly. She grasped his hand tightly when she felt his thumb playing with her navel.
" Please.. don't," she requested as her feelings were getting uncontrollable now. If he does not stop here, she may let herself fall in his embrace and submit to his dominance.
She tilted her head and he couldn't stop himself from nuzzling his face in the crook of her neck.
" I don't feel like leaving you," he murmured against her skin and sent ticklish sensations to her. He rubbed the tip of his nose against her neck and inhaled her scent.
" Please.. Aryan," she dared to say his name and surprisingly, he withdrew his face from her neck. He turned her around and put his hands on her shoulders.
" What did you say?"
She licked her lower and couldn't grab the courage to look into his eyes. He pinched her chin and lifted her head up to meet his gaze.
She blinked, seeing a beautiful smile on his lips.
" You have got me head over heels for you, biwi."
He wrapped his hands around her waist and pulled her into a hug. She did not break it, nor reciprocated. She was confused about her own feelings..
" You can use this trick to stop me," he gave her an idea and broke the hug. He planted a feather-like kiss on her forehead then patted her cheek and walked out of the room.
She touched her cheek where he was kissing and biting her some moments ago. Why didn't she stop him and scream at him like always? Is she changing for him?
No.
She can't be soft for a man who plans to snatch her freedom from her. Who only cares about his love, his desires and his preference.
But his touch always says otherwise. His hold is always possessive on her but it did not suffocate her. He was having both a positive and negative impact on her. Just when she thinks maybe she is wrong about him, the next moment he does something that leaves her extremely drained.
She took a deep breath and ran her fingers into her hair.
" This man is unpredictable. I am sure he will make me crazy one day."
She shook her head and went out of the room as well. Whole Chauhan had breakfast together. They were talking about Shruti and Jaydev's marriage but Pakhi knew no marriage bells were about to ring soon in this family.
Her brother won't accept his defeat easily. Another reason is his late girlfriend. His love for her is still alive. He can't forget her, not even in his dreams.
So, marrying Shruti by forgetting Eisha was almost impossible. He will surely do something to cancel the wedding.
Pakhi blushed when her eyes met with Aryan's. The moment in the bedroom rang in her mind. Her eyes widened slightly as he winked at her.
" God!"
She murmured and looked down to her plate.
