Pakhi stared at the girl laying on the bed with closed eyes. Eisha's alive. She is so surprised that she can't express it in words. She knew nothing. It was Aryan who suddenly brought her to Jivika's house in the morning. She thought he was here to clear her doubt but all she got to see was Eisha who doesn't have much time left.
" I hope you have better explanations," Aryan said to Jivika who nodded.
Coming to this woman, Pakhi discovered that she is not as bad as she thought.
" Let her come as well," Jivika said.
" Who is it?"
Aryan asked impatiently. He is restless. Why wouldn't he be? He got to see his friend after so many years, whom everyone believed had died. If this is his condition then who knows what will happen to Jaydev. What will happen to Shruti? How will she bear all this?
Pakhi shook her head and grabbed Aryan's hand, " this is so messed up. Di will be heartbroken."
Aryan blinked his eyes reassuringly, " I know Shruti. She's mature. Moreover, we cannot let Jaydev be unaware of Eisha. He has to know."
" Jivi?"
Both of them looked behind as they heard another voice. Aryan frowned, " you?"
Officer Shefali looked at Aryan with a knowing look. Aryan rubbed his face frustratedly, " what the fuck is happening?"
" Just let him come. It will only help you two."
Jivika said. Pakhi glanced at Shefali then looked at Eisha. Soon after, Shruti and Jaydev also arrived. Jivika went to pick them up from the door and brought them to Eisha's room.
Everyone looked at the duo. Shruti walked behind Jaydev and stared at Eisha. Jaydev felt tongue tied and very shocked seeing the girl lying on the bed he missed from years.
He gulped down his saliva and Shruti stood with Pakhi. Aryan glanced at Jaydev's hand which shivered slightly as he took steps toward the weak girl.
Why did it have to be like this? When everything went better in this life then why did the past have to be rewind. Jaydev dropped beside her on the stool.
Her face is looking very small, weak and pale. Dark circles are under her eyes and body looks like she's running out of food and water.
His eyes filled up as he forwarded his hand and touched her hand. He breathed out and tears streamed down from his eyes. Pakhi looked at Shruti worriedly but she showed no expression.
Eisha's eyeballs moved and eyelashes slowly fluttered up. It took her around a minute to fix her vision. She stared at Jivika who came and palmed her forehead.
" Jay and Aryan are here to meet you."
A wrinkle formed on her forehead and she turned her eyes to Jaydev and Aryan. Her eyes stayed longer on Jaydev before shifting to Aryan.
Small smile casted on her lips and Aryan took some steps closer to her. She parted her dry lips to say something but failed.
She looked at Shefali for help and both Jaydev and Aryan passed her confused look.
Shefali brought a pen and notebook. She held the notebook and handed the pen to Eisha with which she wrote something on it. Her handwriting was messy but she cared less.
Shefali smiled and showed both the men the notebook.
I missed you two. How are you?
Jaydev looked down as more tears escaped his eyes. Aryan's eyes turned glossy and he forwarded his hand before cupping her cheeks.
" Very good after seeing you. We missed you t..too."
His voice broke in the end. Eisha looked at Jaydev and Aryan put his hand on his shoulder. Jaydev wiped his tears and lifted his eyelashes.
" I.."
Words stuck in his throat as he saw tears sliding from Eisha's eyes but she chose not to drop her smile.
" I miss..missed you."
Her smile widened and she roamed her eyes around and frowned when she saw Pakhi and a girl she never saw.
She raised her hand and pointed at Pakhi and Shruti. Aryan glanced behind and smile before saying,
" Pakhi is my wife now. We got married just a few months ago."
Her eyes sparkled and she pointed at Jaydev then made a crying face which meant- did Jay cry?
Aryan chuckled, " so damn much."
She chuckled then pointed at Shruti and gestured- who's she? Aryan's smile faded and he failed to form words. He was having difficulty but to answer this question of Eisha, Jaydev opened his mouth,
" She's Shruti. My wife.."
Surprisingly, Eisha did not react negatively. She made a shocking face then gestured Aryan to step aside so that she could look at Shruti clearly. She passed an impressed look to Jaydev who smiled slightly.
" How are you?"
Jaydev asked finally in a less panicked voice. Eisha made a sad expression and pointed at Jivika. They looked at her.
" We'll talk about that later. How about you guys follow me outside-"
Jivika stopped in the middle when Eisha showed her palm to her. She frowned and tried understanding what Eisha was saying in sign language. She nodded as she understood.
Jaydev stood up when Shefali came to his side then both of them helped Eisha to sit up. She thanked them in sign language.
She then gestured to both Jaydev and Aryan to sit on either side of hers which they did.
She smiled widely and hugged them without waiting anymore. They were taken back. Eisha's eyes filled up and she closed her eyes. Jaydev and Aryan's eyes teared up as they raised their arms to hug her back. The hug lasted for a maximum of 5 minutes.
Eisha broke it then wiped their tears. She grabbed Jaydev's hand and brought it up to her face and kissed the back of his hand. She grabbed a notebook and pen which was beside her pillow.
They read what she was writing on it.
Do not cry. Your wife is extremely beautiful. I am so happy for you and relieved that I got to meet you two in the last moments of my life. Keep me alive in your memories. I'll watch you all from the sky..
And yes, I was on a mission.
Jaydev wiped his tears and hugged her. Shruti smiled and felt tears making a way down from her eyes.

Everybody settled down in the living room and Jivika, Shefali started explaining things.
" You may start now," Aryan said.
Jivika nodded and looked at Shefali who hummed and went to a guest room.
" Eisha's life is full of mystery which none of you ever got to know about. Let's start from the beginning. The gang you want to catch, she wanted to bring their black deeds to the world before you because she herself was a victim of their black deeds."
" As in?" Aryan uttered.
Shefali came with so many files and put them on the table before them.
" Trafficking. Me, Shefali and her were the victims of trafficking and be it luck or anything, we three escaped. Eisha was just 17 that time. We separated our ways. She went to study, Shefali strived to become a police officer and I worked hard to become a lawyer. In all this, a couple helped us. The same couple whom Eisha introduced to you her Chacha and Chachi. They had no kids when they found us. The lady died and the man is commissioner Ravi. She even lied about the hate relationship with them."
Jaydev widened his eyes, " what?"
Jivika nodded, " commissioner Ravi found us on the streets when he brought us to his home. He heard our story and began working to catch those gangs but you must know how many files opened and closed over and over again. It was a drastic failure. That's when Eisha told us about you and Aryan."
Jivika leaned her back against the couch, " she told us how brilliant you two are. If you remember clearly, Jay, she was the first one to motivate you to become a police officer."
Jaydev nodded.
Jivika smiled, " she slowly found out about Aryan's connection with many mafias in the underworld."
" Means, she.. intentionally became their friend?"
Pakhi asked.
Shefali shook her head, " not at all. It was a pure bond. But she needed a team. Big and powerful to defeat that gang and save thousands of girls like us. But nothing like that happened. That gang found out about Ayesha and then they sent Tina. Tina, the assassin of that gang. But eventually, Tina started getting jealous of Eisha."
Jivika grabbed the file and opened it.
" This is the file of Eisha."
Shruti took it and read it.
" What is it?"
Jaydev asked. Shruti's eyes widened slightly and she glanced at her brother before saying,
" It states she's..was pregnant."
" What the fuck?"
Aryan uttered and Jaydev looked at him.
" But you said-"
" Yes, bro. I said. Nothing happened-"
" Hold on," Jivika interrupted them and continued,
" To be clear that, yes nothing happened between him and her but so much happened with her."
" Don't solve riddles. Say it clearly," Jaydev irked.
Jivika sighed, " that night, both Aryan and Eisha were made unconscious. Yes, nothing happened between these two but Karan Khanna... raped Eisha in that condition just to threaten us that if we try to do something, he will cause so much trouble to us."
Silence erupted in the whole living room. Jivika continued,
" Commissioner Ravi taught so many techniques and in just 2 years, Eisha had gathered so much evidence against the blood & money gang. They could not kill us because of that evidence which only Eisha can access to. Aryan saw Eisha in hospital so he thought that she went to gather proof to prove her innocence to Jaydev but no, she went to grab her pregnancy reports."
" What about the baby?"
Shruti asked.
" She aborted it," Shefali asked.
" And suicide? What was that?"
Aryan asked.
" She did not suicide but was attempted to murder. Do you guys remember seeing her body hanging on the fan?"
Aryan and Jaydev shook their heads because what they saw was Eisha lying on the bed and a rope hanging on the ceiling fan. Four men were taking her body out of the hostel and Jaydev was too shocked to stop them.
" She was just unconscious. Those men were Rao's. You couldn't see her breathing because-
" She was covered from head to toe with white blanket," Aryan said, recalling the scene.
" Exactly," Jivika said.
" What happened to her after that?"
Pakhi asked.
" Fortunately, commissioner Ravi saved her but both of them got into a deadly accident. Ravi sir was saved but she was injured badly. In the accident, she lost her voice and was in a coma for 3 years. It was Ravi sir's idea not to let people know about her. For you all, she was dead but she was hidden with us."
" Why did they never try to kill her? I mean, she knows their base. She has evidence. They can easily save themselves by killing her."
Aryan asked.
" They tried. They tried so many times. When she woke up from the coma, she started insisting to meet both of you but seeing her condition, we did not allow her. But one night, she ran away from home. We were so scared because a gang was behind her. Look at her destiny, that night Karan Khanna found her on the streets and kidnapped her. Karan Khanna is a very twisted man with insatiable desires. He had his own motive to fulfill with her. Guess what? He did not let his boss know about her and tortured her for 10 days. She was a victim of gang rape. And he used to give her only dry roti to eat. Those 10 days became hell for her. But that girl is really courageous. She once again escaped and came to my home. Then the next 2 years were no less than trauma for her. The Rao gang again found out about her being alive. Till now, she was hidden in the basement of my home. This was not enough, when he was afflicted with a painful disease due to which he has very little time left for him today. But somehow, Tina found out and kidnapped her. To leave her, she asked for Pakhi. That's why I needed you."
" Pakhi what?"
Jaydev asked attentively. Jivika frowned, thinking he knew about this but guess he did not.
" She wanted me to separate Pakhi and Aryan so that it would be easy for her to kidnap Pakhi. She almost succeeded-"
" Why the hell don't I know about this?"
Jaydev stood up. Aryan sighed.
" It happened yesterday-"
" Yesterday? Are you mad?"
" Calm down, you freak. She's alright. Do you think I'll let anything happen to her?"
Jivika smiled, " when not with Eisha, Tina thought to use Pakhi to hurt you and Aryan. So Pakhi?"
Pakhi frowned as Jivika continued while looking at her, " nothing is happening between us. Your man is yours. I had to do it to get my sister back."
Pakhi smiled reassuringly. Jaydev sat up and ruffled his hair.
" This is so messed up."
" Not messed up," Shefali said and everybody looked at her.
" Now, Eisha's with us. We can have excess evidence. After that, you can easily put the gang behind the bars."
" It's not as easy as it sounds," Aryan said and added,
" They know about Eisha. So, they must do anything to be in control. As far as I know, a lot of blood will flow and many dead bodies will scatter on the ground. We do not know how much massacre will happen."
" Jo bhi hoga Bina khoon kharabe ke hoga," Jaydev said.
( Whatever will happen, will happen without flow of blood.)
Aryan frowned, " that's a mafia gang. Their first and last option is only killing."
" They have challenged me. I will save thousands of innocent girls, children and other people they have forced into their stupid works."
" But how? It's not like they won't try to harm you."
Shruti asked with a worried expression.
" For that, I have my best friend," Jaydev grinned and spread his arm around Aryan's shoulder who rolled his eyes and said,
" You were ready to kill me just now."
" Oh yes!"
Jaydev stood up hurriedly and went to Pakhi who was taken back.
" You are okay, princess? They didn't harm you right?"
" I am okay, bhai. He saved me."
He palmed her head and leaned down to kiss her forehead. He turned his gaze at Shruti and smiled softly. He will talk to her soon. She must have many questions.
" Anyways!"
He faced Shefali and Jeevika.
" You two are invited to my wedding and you, Miss. Shefali, meet me at my cabin tomorrow. I have to talk a lot with you."
" Hold on, when is your wedding?"
Aryan asked.
" It's not decided yet."
Laughter echoed in the living room after a long serious session. Jaydev looked at Shruti and she nodded at him with a smile.
" Uhm, I'll go and meet Eisha one last time."
" Sure," Shefali said.
Jaydev went to Eisha's room and found her still seated on the bed and drawing something on a book but as she heard sounds of his footsteps, she looked up and smiled.
He cleared his throat and sat down beside her leg. She flipped the page and asked him a question.
Did they tell you?
He nodded, " they did. And I..wanted to apologise as well. Only if I acted a little mature, I would have found out your misery."
She shook her head reassuringly and wore something else.
Don't be. I do not blame them. The situation was bad.
He smiled slightly and hummed, " I blamed both of you but when you cleared everything with me, I was about to talk to Aryan that night and received the news of your suicide. So, I blamed him."
You did bad with him.
He nodded.
Your wife is seriously very beautiful. Is she Aryan's sister?
" She is."
Jay, will you take my revenge? Will you give justice to so many girls like me?
Jaydev grabbed her free hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, " I will. Honestly, I respect you Eisha for what you did."
She chuckled and his eyes stayed longer on her wrist.
Thanks a lot. I wish I could do more.
Meanwhile,
" Di," Pakhi pulled Shruti to a corner.
" I feel.. I feel strange."
" Like?"
Shruti frowned.
" Like, I am not very convinced by these 3 girls."
Shruti glanced at Jivika and Shefali with one another and Aryan on his phone.
" What do you mean, Pakhi?"
She sighed heavily, " just.. I am not convinced. I feel we are again making a mistake. Bhai and Aryan should think wisely before taking another step. These people can be cunning. We should not give in to emotions."
" But, Pakhi. Eisha is lying on the death bed. She doesn't even know how much time is left for her."
" Yes, but.. why did they decide to tell us about her after 5 long years? And Eisha was with that gang for a few days, so it is also possible that Tina might have found the evidence by manipulating Eisha or doing something else."
" Pakhi-"
Shruti couldn't string her thoughts together. She was convinced by Pakhi and her suspicion.
Aryan frowned after seeing a message from Sahir.
KARAN FUCKING KHANNA HAS A WIFE!
He clicked on the photo to download it. Karan Khanna has a wife? How did he keep her hidden from so many years? He tapped his foot impatiently on the ground for the image to download but the internet was slow.
And the image was downloaded!
