Song: "Heathens" by: Twenty-one Pilots
*Jasmine Davis*
Many different emotions flowed through me as I heard the few words come out of Parker's mouth.
"The Rogue King is the one behind all of this."
Parker's voice kept ringing in my head as the words played repeatedly in my head.
"He's formed a fake alliance with the hunters."
Why the hell could I not have had a normal life? Problem after problem. They just couldn't seem to go away. My mate was an Alpha so my life definitely wouldn't be normal. I was so close to just accepting the bond. I planned on telling him soon. I was slowly forgiving him and I felt really guilty for rejecting him in the first place, even though he treated me badly like locking me up.
But no one is perfect, it became more clear to me. Everyone deserves a second chance if they're willing.
I didn't know when the perfect time to tell him was. He was busy dealing with the hunter. I didn't want to go because I was too busy trying to come up with reasons on why the Rogue King wanted me.
So far I had nothing.
I sighed as I flipped the channel on the TV to reruns of Teen Wolf and spread my legs out onto the couch. Somehow I managed to fall asleep.

"I'll catch you later," I called out to Sarina as I walked to my Algebra 1 class. Once I got to my class, I sat down at my assigned seat. People filed in behind me and my friend Charlotte took her seat next to me.
"So there is a party this weekend. I think we should all go," she suggested. Of course she would know if there was a party or not. It was probably one that involved drinking. I don't even want to know if she's been to one.
I gave her a pointed look. "You know we shouldn't. It probably isn't a good idea because we are Freshman after all."
Charlotte pouted. "Come on, it'll be fun. I'm sure Sarina would be down for it." She's wrong. I knew Sarina. She's smarter than that. I may be ruining the fun but it's common sense not to let a bunch of 14-year olds near alcohol or anything.
Before I could say anything, the substitute teacher cleared his throat. Everyone quieted down and turned their attention to him. An unfamiliar boy stood at the front of the class next to the sub.
"He's cute," Charlotte whispered from beside me. I rolled my eyes at her. I couldn't help but admit that he was cute.
"Alright class, it seems as if we have a new student. His name is Kyan and he is from Washington," he introduced the boy. "Kyan, please take a seat behind Jasmine."
Kyan nodded his head and walked over to the spot behind me. As he passed by, he offered me a small, closed mouth smile.
The sub started teaching and passed out a worksheet on graphing equations. I began working, doing the problems easily. Math was something that was easy for me. I was terrible at Science and English. History was somewhat easy and difficult. It had its ups and downs.
I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and raised an eyebrow.
"I don't understand this," Kyan said as he scratched the back of his neck. "Can you help me?"
I furrowed my eyebrows. He didn't look confused. "With what?" I asked.
He lifted up his paper and pointed to a random question. "How do I find the x and y-intercepts? At my old school, they briefly went over it and I forget how."
"Plug zero in for x, solve it. The y-intercept is b," I answered and pointed to the equation on my paper. He nodded and gave me a look of understanding.
"I get it now. Thank you, Jasmine," he grinned. I smiled back. "No problem," I said before turning back around.
When class was finished, I turned my paper in by putting it on the teacher's desk. As I exited the classroom, I heard my name being called.
I turned on my heel to see who was calling my name. Kyan was behind me, pulling a sheet of paper out of his bag.
"Yes?" I asked raising a brow. He held up the paper. I realized that it was his schedule.
"Do you know where these classes are?" He asked handing the schedule to me. I took it and looked at the classes on the list.
Most of his classes were ones with me.
I handed it back to him. "Looks like you've got a few classes with me. Biology is next, so follow me," I told him. He grinned and followed next to me as we walked to class.

Loud music echoed throughout the gym as teens danced around. The Wanted played on the speakers and I mouthed the words to the song.
"You cast a spell on me, spell on me. You hit me like the sky fell on me, fell on me. And I decided you look well on me, well on me. So let's go somewhere where no-one else can see, you and me," I sang as I nodded my head to the beat of the music.
I leaned against the wall of the gym and watched as Sarina danced with her date for the night. I had no clue where Anthony was. The last time I had seen him were when the three of us were dancing, well we were dancing. Anthony had no dancing skills whatsoever.
"Turn the lights out now. Now I'll take you by the hand. Hand you another drink. Drink it if you can. Can you spend a little time? Time is slipping away, away from us so stay."
I scanned the place in search of someone to talk to. "Stay with me I can make, make you glad you came."
"Why are you over here instead of out there?" A voice asked from beside me. I jumped a little, startled by the nearness of the voice. I smiled when my gaze met with Kyan's. His tall frame leaned against the wall beside me. His usual messy blonde hair was tamed and he wore his usual black leather jacket over a white button up shirt.
"Am I not allowed to be over here?" I responded while raising a brow teasingly.
A grin found its way on his lips. "Not when I'm here," he said as he took my hand and dragged me to the dance floor while I protested.
My 5'0" height was definitely short compared to Kyan's 5'10" height. I noticed this as I followed behind him. Before we reached the dance floor, Glad You Came finished playing and I frowned.
"Looks like the song finished, I guess there's no point in dancing now," I muttered more to myself but loud enough so he could hear. All he did was chuckle.
An unfamiliar song began playing and Kyan let go of my hand. He placed his hands on my waist and pulled me close to him. I placed my hands on his shoulders and we swayed to the music, imitating those around us.
It had been 2 months since Kyan first started coming to the school and I had the chance to get to know him better. I couldn't tell whether or not I was developing feelings for him, but there was definitely something there. Whenever he was around I started getting these feelings in my stomach and I was aware of his every movement. I thought it was just something that would end in a week but it didn't and just my stupid young hormones. Now, I couldn't help but feel tingles from where his hands were and many more feelings. I felt stupid for feeling this way, but was this what it felt like to have a crush? Did he even like me back?
"You look beautiful," Kyan's voice brought me out of my thoughts. His eyes glanced down at the navy blue dress I was wearing. It ended above my knees and was strapless. My hair was naturally straight and left down. The only make up I had on was simple winged eyeliner and mascara.
"Thank you," I smiled. "You don't look bad yourself."
He smiled too. Something sparked in his eyes that was a new emotion I hadn't seen before. His eyes flickered between my eyes as if searching for something. His gaze briefly flicked down to my lips and I bit it. A habit I do when I'm nervous.
The smile on his face grew and I felt my cheeks heat up.
"You look cute when you blush," he commented as he brought his hand up to my cheek and brushed his thumb against it. I smacked his hand away as I felt my cheeks become even more red.
"Shut up," I muttered as he chuckled.
"And what if I don't?" He smirked mischievously. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Then I'll come to your house while you're sleeping and cut off each of your limbs," I replied, not looking away from his face.
He laughed. His laugh was like music to my ears. "And before you do that, could you kiss me?" I couldn't tell if he was joking or not but my voice was caught in my throat. By looking at his eyes, something told me he wasn't joking.
Before I knew it, Kyan was closing the distance between us. I didn't realize how close we were until his face was inches away from mine. My eyes closed and I felt myself close the distance as well. His soft, warm lips pressed against mine and warmth spread within me. I kissed him back as his hands cupped my face and my hands wrapped around his waist. It wasn't my first kiss, but it was, by far, the best one.

My eyes snapped open as the memories disappeared and I was welcomed by the sight of the TV screen still playing Teen Wolf. Must've been a marathon.
I sat up and wiped my mouth with the back of my hand.
How long was I asleep for?
I glanced out the large window in the living and realized that it was dark out. The lights were off because when I was awake it was light out still. The moon and stars glowed, casting shadows in the room. The sound of the front door opening and closing brought my gaze away from the window. Parker's scent filled my nose as he walked into the room. His eyes settled on me and then the TV.
"Why is it so dark in here?" He asked as he reached for the light switch on the wall but I stopped him.
"No! It'll be too bright," I complained. He chuckled quietly to himself as we moved towards the couch I was sitting on. He took of his leather jacket leaving him in his tight white T-shirt and dark washed jeans and placed it on the back of the couch.
I looked away so I wouldn't ogle his muscles and focused on the TV. Why was the male cast for Teen Wolf so attractive? But my mate couldn't be compared to them, he was way hotter. I didn't think it could be possible but it was.
I felt the couch dip and then his presence next to me. He sat close enough so his arm and leg barely touched mine.
"You watch this show?" He asked me.
I nodded my head. "Yeah, do you?"
He shrugged his shoulders. "Peyton loves it, so I've seen most of the episodes. However, the only werewolf I know of that can half shift is the Werewolf King, and that is only during a full moon. Know one knows why. Other than that occasion, he fully shifts into a wolf."
"True. I read about that somewhere," I said thoughtfully as I remembered reading it when I found the Book of Ancient Creatures in the library of my old pack house.
"I heard he's a dick, but then again, I'm no better," he commented.
I let out a small laugh. "You are," I replied which earned an eye roll from him. We both became silent. I didn't know whether or not to tell him about me wanting to accept the bond. I didn't know if it was the right time or if I should wait.
I felt Parker's breath fan my face as his hand lifted up to remove my hair from my neck. He leaned forward until his lips lightly grazed the edge of my ear. "You still have a hickey on your neck," he whispered while tracing his finger over it.
I gulped as my skin ignited with fire from his light touch. It drove my wolf crazy. Just a simple touch created so many feelings in me to build up.
I leaned away from him and covered my neck back up with my hair. "That's why my hair is there for a reason," I pointed out.
"Why cover it up?" He questioned not moving from where he was, instead he reached up and wrapped a strand of my hair around his finger.
"Because it's a hickey, no one needs to know what we do." My cheeks heated up at the thought of things that we could be doing if I just accepted the damn bond in the beginning.
A sexy smirk fitted across his lips that did wonders to me. "And what is it that we do?" His other hand found its way to my thigh. The warmth from it seeped through my leggings. His hand gently squeezed it before slowly making its way upwards.
He definitely knew how to make a girl go crazy and I didn't like that fact one bit.
"I don't know, you tell me."
The smirk on his face grew and he gave my thigh again. "Show me." His eyes swirled with lust and I felt the urge to show him alright but I held back.
"No, I'm good," I waved him off as I stood up from the couch.
When I was about to walk away, Parker's arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me back so I fell onto his lap with my back pressed against his chest. "Where do you think you're going?" He growled into my ear. His arm still around me as the other moved my hair out of the way.
I let out a shaky breath as his lips grazed the skin on my neck where the hickey was. "How about I make another one," he whispered huskily. He moved his arm from my waist and rested his hand on my upper thigh right near my crotch. He moved the material of my shirt off my shoulder.
Now I regretted not wearing a bra under the large, baggy T-shirt I was wearing.
Parker groaned. "You aren't wearing a bra?" His voice sounded strained as he placed an open mouth kiss on the exposed skin.
"No," I breathed out.
"Why not?" He asked against my skin, placing another hot kiss against it.
"Why should I?" I responded nonchalantly. He growled lowly in my ear that scent a shiver running down my spine.
He leaned in close and slid his hand over my shoulder until his fingers brushed the skin right above my breasts. "So I'm not tempted," he whispered, his voice a few octaves lower that had me briefly closing my eyes and sucking in a large breath.
"Oh, so you want me to go put one on?" I joked turning my head slightly to see his face. He clenched his jaw and tightened his hold on me.
"No." He slowly dragged his fingers out of my shirt and cupped the side of my face, pressing his lips to mine. His other hand was brushing circles with his thumb on my thigh. His thumb stopped moving when I responded to the kiss. Our lips moved in sync together at a slow agonizing pace that had my toes curling and me wanting more.
I was still sitting with my back against his chest. I laced my fingers with his hand on my thigh while the other gripped his arm.
Our lips molded together as I deepened the kiss by turning so I straddled his lap. My hands dug into his hair, tipping his head back and ran my tongue against his lips asking for entrance.
A deep moan escaped from him as he opened his mouth. His hands slid down the sides of my body until they cupped my ass. Our tongues fought for dominance, both of us letting out embarrassing sounds.
I began grinding against him, our parts hitting where it needed to, resulting in the both of us pulling away and giving out breathy moans.
"Holy f-" he didn't even finish his sentence as another strangled groan left his lips.
I could feel him underneath me hardening, letting me know just how much he was enjoying this. I sealed my lips over his once again.

.
.
After what felt like forever, I attempted to get up but he stopped me.
"Just a few more minutes," he whispered, breathing in my scent.
A small smile found its way onto my face as I laid back against him on the couch. His arm draped over my waist and I laid my head back against his other arm.
"You know we'll have to get up soon or later, it's two in the morning," I told him. He growled in response and held me closer to his body.
I was enveloped in his strong scent and I felt as if I could be in this position with him all day long.
"What made you start to care about me?" I asked quietly.
I wasn't exactly expecting him to give me an answer. "I realized what a careless and heartless dick I was being. I grew cold and didn't care about anyone after my mother died. After you rejected me, my eyes opened and every negative feeling I had about actually finding my mate or loving her faded away. I realized my mistakes and instantly regretted them. I still do. So, so badly. I just want to take it all back. I want to make it up to you, in every possible way," his voice was filled with so many emotions.
I didn't know what to say as I looked at his face. His eyes were willed with regret and his face glowing from the moonlight.
"I saved myself for my mate. I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't get with any other female, hell I wouldn't even look at one. I don't know what made me do it, but I did and I'm glad. I have not experience with being in a relationship or showing affection. But I'm willing to try, for you, my mate," he spoke.
My eyes widened. I was his first kiss? He was a virgin? An unfamiliar feeling swirled within me. I couldn't help but feel proud that my mate saved himself for me. I then felt guilty. I wasn't able to save myself for my mate.
But after thinking, I knew right then and there that I knew what I wanted. I didn't regret it one bit.
"I, Jasmine Davis, accept you, Alpha Parker Mason, as my mate."
