Chapter 11: Chapter 11

A Mouth Full of Blood.Words: 12493

When Vinny had reached his bedroom, he quickly went straight to his clothes. He couldn't wait to change, but what should he wear? He was going to ignore his mum's comment on looking nice, he needed to look normal. But that didn't make the decision any easier.

This was going to be the first time that his soulmate acknowledges him as more than just the master and he wanted to make a good first impression.

As he looked through his clothes, his mind wandered back to the moment he told his parents about Oliver. He still couldn't believe that they are okay with it. They were about to see him fall drastically in love with a male and they didn't once show sadness or disappointment. Vinny should've known better, he should've known they are open minded people but he was just too scared to believe it.

As he pulled out a black fitted shirt and smart black jeans, he then looked through his waistcoats. He likes to dress smart. He has never been one to follow fashion or anything like that. His parents dress the same but it was a tradition for vampires to look smart all the time.

Vinny pulled out a dark red velvet one, hoping to somewhat impress Oliver. He knew deep down his clothes wouldn't matter, his soulmate would love him for who he is, not what he looks like. But if it made him feel better by wearing it then he would.

He then made his way through to the bathroom.

He got changed, brushed his teeth and styled his hair into its usual black mess. It was cut well, being shorter on the back and sides and longer on the top made him look even more attractive to the many humans and vampires who drool over him. But he believed it gave him character and it was important for him to look the same to Oliver.

Vinny realised he was caring too much. He just needed to calm down and be himself. As hard at that was, he had to deal with this situation and take it with confidence.

He sighed before switching off his bathroom light and walking out of his bedroom.

Oliver was growing impatient. What is going on? Not even Desmond is allowed in their dining room. He looked around once more, noticing different things as he took a more detailed glance.

The windows were huge and they stretched up to the tall ceilings, filling the room with daylight. The rich coloured curtains draped effortlessly against the walls and elegantly brushing the dark wooden floor. The chandelier reflected from the sun's glare and created little sparkles of shadow around the room. There wasn't a single speck of dust and he really felt too underdressed to be standing in such a room.

Their dining room was amazing. He would do anything to have a tour of this place but he knows that would never happen.

Just then, the door opened.

Oliver turned to see the Master, shutting the door behind him. That's when his heart thumped against his ribs. The master kind of scared him and he wanted to leave. Being in the presence of the Vanderwood's was really overwhelming.

As the teen vampire turned to face them, his eye's instantly connected with his soulmate's. His scent was so addictive and instantly filled him with pleasure.

Madison and Duke watched his pupils quickly dilate and his expression changed. He was looking at something he really wanted and they knew that his feelings were exceptionally strong.

He walked closer and his heart was beating hard.

"Have you told him why he's here?" He asked, creating a frown from Oliver.

"Not yet, son, we thought it would be better coming from you," Madison smiled. She was so excited.

"Uh... what's- what's happening? Did I do something wrong?" Oliver wondered if his dad was okay. Has he had an accident at work or something? He was trying to think of every possible reason as to why he is here.

Vinny's eyes were getting lost in his big green one's. They were shining so sweetly, he had to stop himself from stepping closer. He could barely resist connecting, now that there was nothing holding him back.

"Hello Oliver," He said in his deep voice, trying to stop the nerves from showing.

"Hi," Oliver replied quietly. The Master was talking directly to him and he didn't look angry or bored, he just looked... normal.

Excitement flashed through the vampire. He was speaking to his soulmate.

Madison and Duke watched. They were ready to see the bond develop not only in their son but in Oliver too. It's long overdue now.

"I need to tell you something very important," Vinny said. Now that he had the support of his parents, he could feel the courage building inside himself.

"Is my dad okay?" Oliver asked when he saw the nerves in the master's eyes. He may not be good at showing his emotions but his deep chocolate eyes surprisingly say a lot.

Vinny took a step forward.

"This isn't about your father."

Oliver watched him carefully. Why was he getting closer?

Vinny took a deep breath. All he needed to do was say it. He was feeling so nervous. But for hours he has wanted to say this. He has reached that point where he just needs to say it.

He needed to connect the bond.

"You're my soulmate."

When the words left his mouth, everyone held their breath. The silence became very noticeable to their ears.

Oliver's mind took a second to register what the Master had just said. He looked behind him, then at Alpha and female alpha. When he saw that their expressions were filled with anticipation, his expression dropped.

"Oh... wait, you said that to me?" He asked.

Vinny almost frowned. Who else would he have said that to? He needed to understand that humans have no idea how the soulmate thing worked. It isn't normal for them to experience this.

"Yes." He was barely able to keep himself from taking his soulmates hand and completing the bond. But he needed to give Oliver a little more time for it to process. He had to make sure he was ready before he did anything.

"But I-I didn't think you were into guys?" Oliver whispered. He felt very stupid for saying it but he honestly didn't.

Vinny's limbs went tingly at the thought of that but he should start getting used to it.

"I wasn't," He dropped his gaze to his hands. "Until I felt the bond."

Oliver's mind was full to the brim. He couldn't think. Was this seriously happening? Was he really the Master's soulmate?

"Are you sure?" Oliver asked. Maybe he's just confused. "I'm not a vampire. Are you sure you're sure? Like... definitely one hundred percent sure?"

Vinny very nearly smiled. If he wasn't so nervous, he probably would have. But Oliver didn't know how much the vampire was in love with him. He didn't know that with every passing second, it was harder for Vinny to suppress his feelings.

"I'm more than sure," Vinny whispered and stepped even closer. Oliver wanted to step back but for some reason, he couldn't bring himself to do it.

"I have to connect our bond now," His voice was quiet as he deeply watched those green eyes. He could barely breathe. There was only a foot between them but it was enough to somewhat calm his feelings. His scent was so overpowering and so irresistible.

Vinny's parents were watching but they stayed silent. They couldn't interrupt this. They were thrilled to see their son being close to someone, even if it was another male.

"Wait, wait wait," Oliver then breathed. "Connect our bond?" He didn't know how any of this worked. He felt like it was some crazy dream and he was going to wake up at any minute.

"Yes, we need to make physical contact for you to feel how I feel." Vinny knew how confusing this must be for him.

"How you feel? What do you feel?"

Vinny was attacked with butterflies in his stomach, he needed to admit his feelings. Maybe saying it out loud would help him deal with it better.

"I'm in love with you," He said calmly. It may have been a little blunter than what he wanted but it was now out in the open.

Oliver's eyes widened and he diverted his gaze to the ground. He didn't expect him to say that. But he didn't really understand that once a vampire finds their soulmate and if it's a strong bond, they can't help but feel anything other than love. They instantly fall for that person and it's very strange for a human to witness.

"I-" He didn't know how to respond. The Master of the Vanderwood family is in love with him? It's almost too crazy to believe.

Oliver is such a simple person. There's nothing interesting about him at all. He lives in a small home with a normal dad. He doesn't have any hobbies or any talents. But yet here he is, standing face to face with a vampire who just admitted his unconditional love for him.

"Oh... uh... will it hurt? When we connect the-the bond thing," He asked quietly. He was feeling maybe a little too overwhelmed now.

"No." Vinny started to reach his hand towards Oliver's. His chest was aching with the desperation.

"Are you ready?"

Oliver hesitated. He was incredibly confused. He woke up this morning as a normal person with a normal life. Now, it was all about to change.

He looked up to the vampire, seeing his eyes growing with desire as he watched Oliver's hand. Did he really have those strong feelings towards him? He was mainly afraid of what was going to happen. It was so strange and alien to him. This is not how people fall in love. They get to know each other and their feelings develop over time. But in a few seconds, he was about to feel so much love for someone he doesn't even know.

But the adrenalin and the thirst for adventure couldn't possibly force him to deny this opportunity, as mad as it was.

"Okay I-I'm ready," He whispered.

Vinny's heart fluttered when he felt the heat radiating from Oliver's hand.

Finally, it was happening.

He took a breath and kept reaching forwards until his fingers brushed delicately on the back of Oliver's hand. he craved his touch so much.

When Oliver felt his touch, he instantly gasped.

It suddenly hit him right in the chest. All those new emotions mixed and spread through his body. He felt like he had been kicked in the stomach and slapped across the face with immense feelings.

Vinny felt the warmth replacing the pulling sensation in his chest. He breathed a big breath of relief.

He gripped tightly onto Oliver's hand. His skin was so warm and smooth. He had waited far too long to feel something as simple as his fingers wrapping around his but it was the best feeling in the world. It was definitely worth the wait.

Oliver raised his eyebrows as his gaze fixed on the Master. Now when he looked at him, he was filled with so much joy and happiness, it was incredible. The love was circling his entire body and changing his view on the vampire.

He felt it.

They are now soulmate's.

Duke and Madison watched with big smiles. They saw how Oliver's face changed when Vinny touched his hand.

To Oliver, Vinny was now the most beautiful person in the world. Before they connected the bond, he found him attractive but now, no other person would ever compare.

Vinny couldn't describe how this made him feel. He looked at the human to see the love shining in his eyes. He has longed to see that.

Oliver could feel his cravings for wanting to make that physical touch. He wanted to be really close.

"Can I hug you? I mean, am-am I allowed?" He asked quickly, remembering he was in a room with Vampires, The dominant race and technically his boss.

Vinny's heart crippled at his cute nature. He seemed even more in love with him now that the connection is radiating between them both.

"Of course." The vampire was feeling his happiness shine through his expression for the first time in years.

Oliver craved his comfort just as much as Vinny craved his.

Slowly, they stepped forwards and closed the gap between each other. Their chests touched lightly and Vinny felt strange. He was about to emotionally hug another guy. Although, he really wanted it. Oliver's face was so close but he wouldn't kiss him. Not yet. He wasn't ready for that.

When Oliver felt the vampire's arms wrap gently around his shoulders, he wrapped his arms around his waist, feeling his velvet waistcoat that he would grow to adore.

Vinny felt his soft hair brush lightly against his cheek as Oliver settled his chin into his shoulder. They both then closed their eyes and concentrated on everything they could about each other. Their warmth, their smell, and their comfort. It was exactly what they needed.

Vinny leant his head down and pressed the side of his face into Oliver's cheek. He could feel his breath against his ear, creating a shudder down his spine. At this point, he didn't care that his parents were still watching.

He needed this.
