"Vinny, guess the correct number of how many people are in this room," Oliver slurred while he sat next to Vinny at the table.

Duke and Madison stopped talking to listen to their conversation.

"Um..." Vinny looked around and frowned. Everything was spinning. "Twenty?"

Oliver hesitated. The room was still full of about one hundred guests. "Nope. More."

Vinny raised his eyebrows and blinked slowly. It was safe to say that they were both incredibly drunk. "Oh," he hummed half-heartedly. "fifteen?"

Oliver stared blankly as Duke and Madison burst into fits of laughter. "No, I'll give you a hint," he said before leaning close. "It's more than twenty."

Vinny laughed, which was like velvet running over Oliver's ears.

"Vinny," Duke interrupted, making his son stare like he hadn't seen his dad in years.

"Where did you come from?" he asked in surprise.

"Yeah, can Vampires do that?" Oliver asked in shock.

Madison couldn't hold back her joy. The boys had no idea what was going on.

"Would anyone like a drink?" a waitress asked, holding a tray with a selection of drinks.

Vinny picked up whatever was closest to him, which was a shot of a cherry flavoured Vodka. He gulped it before Duke had the time to stop him.

"Could you bring some water over please?" Duke asked as Vinny connected his fingers and smiled widely at Oliver.

"Vinny? Did I, Did I ever tell you that I love it when you do that?" Oliver asked, resting a hand on his soulmates shoulder to stop himself from falling off the stool.

"No? Wait, do what?" Vinny asked. "Oh, when I do this?" He gave Oliver a very clumsy kiss.

Oliver fell into him and gladly kissed back. "Yes," Oliver muffled into his face and pressed a hand on Vinny's thigh to steady himself.

Vinny looked down, and Madison saw something change in his eyes. The boys started to feel affection rising in their chests, along with other combined emotions.

"I love you," Vinny said and crushed Oliver's body in-between his legs.

"No, I love you more," Oliver slurred, letting Vinny hold him up because apparently, his legs didn't work anymore.

"Mum, Oliver is such a liar," Vinny whined.

"What in the world are you saying?" Oliver dropped his head onto Vinny's shoulder. Vinny closed his eyes and rubbed Oliver's back.

"Let's go for a walk," Vinny said. When Oliver lifted his head, his eyes were half open. It was almost half one in the morning.

"Amazing," the human mumbled before standing up and stumbling.

"Boys, only stay in this room okay?" Madison asked.

"Yes, mum," Oliver grinned.

A lump formed in Madison's throat, but she kept her calm and grinned back.

"You can't steal my mother," Vinny slurred and stood up too.

Oliver ignored him and linked their arms. "To the window!" he yelled like it was some grand adventure.

Vinny got equally as excited, and they stumbled their way through the crowd of drunken vampires. Madison and Duke remained at the table, but their eyes didn't wander.

"Oh my gosh, Vinny!" Oliver clumsily pressed his face to the window. He didn't realise they were facing a public street with a lot of news reporters outside. "Look, it's snowing!"

Vinny looked around, trying to find a door.

"Let's go touch it," Oliver slurred and stumbled towards the fire exit. Just as he put his hand on the door, Jed stopped him. "Jed!" Oliver pouted. "Why are you here?"

"I'm looking after you both and outside is not permitted. I'm afraid," he smiled.

"Please, we need to see!"

"Nope sorry boys."

Oliver decided to hug Jed instead. "I really wanted to go outside," Oliver muffled glumly into his shoulder.

"It's- it's okay." Vinny leaned into the wall and tried to focus. "We can do that tomorrow."

"Master, Oliver. I have water for you both." A woman held out her tray.

"No thanks," Oliver said, pulling away from Jed.

"I don't want water." Vinny frowned when he saw his dad marching through the crowd.

"Son, guests are starting to leave now. It's probably best that you sober up or you'll feel ill in the morning." Duke took the drinks from the girl so she could leave.

"No." Vinny grabbed Oliver's arm, pulling him into his chest, making them both almost topple over.

"Water is for the weak!" Oliver slurred.

"You won't be saying that tomorrow." Duke looked at Jed. The boys were not listening.

"I'll have the paracetamol ready," Jed said with a smile, making Duke chuckle.

"Right, we have to say goodbye to guests, Jed could you keep an eye on these two and make sure they don't get up to anything... You know like..." Duke trailed off, hoping Jed knew what he was trying to say.

"...Of course, I'll make sure it's strictly sleeping in the bedroom."

"Good, thank you." Duke turned and marched away.

Oliver had somehow found another shot of vodka and gave it to Vinny, who drank it straight away.

"I win!" he yelled, and his arms rose in the air. He was talking about the challenge they made earlier.

"Oh, no." Vinny didn't remember. He was starting to feel a little more drunk than Oliver.

Guests were slowly making there way out of the hall. A lot of them had a while to travel back to their cities or hotels.

"Oliver, I love you."

"Oh, I know," Oliver said before knocking the water over. "I love you too."

Jed was still standing in front of the fire exit but decided to take charge of the situation.

"I don't feel well," Oliver said as Vinny picked up someone's beer, but Jed took it off him.

"Here," Vinny said and pushed the other glass of water in his face. "Drink it all." Oliver did what he said, and Vinny rubbed his back. "Good Job." Oliver tried to put the glass on the table but missed, and it smashed all over the floor. "Oh, dear."

Oliver was starting to get an upset stomach. "Vinny," he said before tugging on his waistcoat. "There's something wrong with my face; it hurts."

"I'll fix it," Vinny slurred before kissing his face heavily.

Oliver just let it happen, he liked when Vinny did that. Especially when he was drunk.

"See, all better," Vinny caressed his cheek with his thumb, but Oliver looked a little pale.

Jed didn't want him to throw up, not when there were people around to take pictures. "Come on, boys, let's go to the bedroom," Jed said and held their shoulders and pushed them back through the crowd.

"But I'm, I'm not..." Vinny trailed off and yawned. Everything was a blur.

Madison spotted the boys heading back through the crowd. She was glad to see they were with Jed.

"Madison!" Oliver said happily and hugged her. She could see he was tired now.

"Look, Vinny, you should hug me more often," she smiled and rubbed Oliver's back.

Vinny blinked at her, but his mind was lost. "hug? What is that?" Even when drunk, his sarcasm was still growing strong.

"I think you're amazing," Oliver said, and his heart started to spill his soppy behaviour. "You're like my second mum."

Madison felt very touched by that. She didn't take it to heart because Oliver was drunk and didn't know what he was saying, not really.

"Thank you. Are you two going to bed now?"

"No," Vinny mumbled, but Jed took a firm hold of their shoulders again.

"Yes we are, good night," he smiled before continuing to guide them through the hall.

When they reached the bedroom, Oliver and Vinny had gotten distracted almost four times before Jed managed to get them on the right corridor. He opened the door and let the boys stumble into the room. He was under instructions to make sure they go to sleep and only sleep.

Oliver aimlessly looked around and unbuttoned his waistcoat. He kept forgetting that he lived in the Vanderwood mansion and that he hadn't just finished work and needed to walk home.

Vinny did the same, but flopped onto the bed and flipped off his shoes. He climbed onto it properly and laid on top of the covers, watching his soulmate.

Oliver dropped the waistcoat on the floor before clumsily jumping onto the bed and falling on top of Vinny.

"Oliver, you're so cute," Vinny mumbled, feeling his eyes begin to close.

"Yeah," Oliver whispered and snuggled his head further into Vinny's chest.

It didn't take them long until they were sleeping.

Jed was surprised by how easy it was to get them into bed, but now was his queue to leave. He thought Vinny would be a tough person to look after with him being so stubborn and all. With a smile, Jed quietly shut the door behind him, and this time, he stood in the hall, just outside the door.
