I couldn't wait until P.E, and neither could my wolf from the way he was whining to get back to Gill.

When the bell finally decided to ring, I nearly sprinted out of the room, quickly shoving my books into my locker and pulling my backpack over my shoulder.

"Easy, Tiger. Where's the fire?" A grumbling voice teased from behind me. I turned and rolled my eyes.

"Just eager for class, Kev," Kevin was a big beefy meathead, and one of my only human friends at school, apart from Gill now I suppose.

"Yeah, right. Seriously. What's up?" He asked, crossing his arms. Suddenly, his eyes went wide. "You like someone don't you?" I involuntarily blushed and shook my head, but by the annoying smirk on his face, he knew I was lying.

"She must be somethin' special if she caught your eye. You never date. Like ever." I smiled at the thought of my mate.

"Yeah, he is." Kevin suddenly choked on his own spit.

"Dude, he? You're gay? No wonder you never check out girls!" My eyes went wide.

"Shit, Kev. Please don't tell anyone. I don't even understand it completely myself I'm just.. I don't know." He laughed and smacked my shoulder.

"Bro, chill. Your secret is safe with me." I sighed in relief. "So what's this dude's name? Do I know him? Wait, it's not me is it? Or Jax? Dude, you know that would never work." I rolled my eyes and elbowed Kevin in the side.

"It's not you, and it's not Jax. That's gross." He clutched his chest and acted like I broke his heart. Suddenly a quick flash of red curls caught my attention. Gill was standing at the end of the hall, laughing at something Jax had said.

"Ohhhh I see. The new kid?" Kevin raised a brow.

"Yeah. He's fucking perfect." I smiled, watching my mate from a distance.

"He's pretty cute. I mean, coming from a straight guy." He joked. "Come on, man. We're gonna be late. We made our way toward the gym, and I immediately stood beside Gill.

"Oh, hey Tobias," he giggled and looked up at me with a breathtaking smile.

"Hey, Gill. What's so funny?" He glanced at Jax and giggled some more.

"Ajax got mad because I told him he reminded me of dish soap."

"I was named after the Greek God, thank you very much. Not the soap." Jax growled.

"Okay, come on Soapy, we got class." I laughed and settled my arm around Gill's shoulder.

"Okay bro, seriously what's up. Where is your mate?" Ajax asked through the pack link. I shoved him toward the door of the locker room, pulling my mate behind me, letting his sweet scent cover my arm.

"I said I would talk to you about that later. But if you must know, yes. I did find my mate and they're fucking perfect." My eyes briefly glanced to the redhead under my arm.

"Gill, why don't you go talk to the coach. We'll meet you outside, kay?" Jax suggested.

"Uh.. alright." I frowned slightly as my mate pulled himself away and headed toward the other side of the locker room.

"Okay, we're alone. Now talk." Jax ordered.

"My mate.. well.." I rubbed my arm nervously. "It's Gill." I finally breathed out.

"Your mate is a dude?? How is that even possible?" My best friend asked, eyes wide.

"I don't know, but you can't tell anybody, okay? I don't even know how I'm going to tell my dad... Oh God, he's definitely not going to give me the title now. How the hell am I supposed to continue the bloodline when my mate is a boy??" I groaned.

Jax set a comforting hand on my shoulder.

"I don't know, bud. But if the Goddess paired you with Gill, then she did it for a reason. Alpha will understand."

"I hope you're right. I really fucking hope you're right."

Gill

I hated gym. There wasn't an athletic bone in my body, but watching Tobias stretch his bulging muscles made the torture well worth it. He was playing basketball with Ajax and holy Jesus they were amazing. I knew nothing about sports, but I could tell by the way their opponents kept groaning in defeat, they were great.

"Gill, come on!" I blushed when Tobias met my gaze and called me toward them.

"Trust me, you do not want me on your team." I chuckled shyly.

"Come here, I can teach you." His sexy smirk stretched across his face, and I shuffled over in defeat.

"Don't say I didn't warn you." He just laughed and shook his head, handing me the ball.

"Okay, feet shoulder width apart, don't look so stiff." I did as he said, and looked up at his towering figure.

"Okay, now what?"

"Now you want to hold the ball with your dominant hand, and just rest your other hand on the side. Then aim for the basket, and shoot." I held the ball like he said, and shot it toward the hoop, completely missing.

"That's alright. Try again," he fetched the ball and passed it back to me. I took a breath and tried again. This time, the ball bounced off the rim and headed back straight for my face. I squealed and held my hands up to protect my face, waiting for the painful impact, but it never came. I peaked through the gaps in my fingers and saw Tobias holding the ball, giving me a curious look.

"Did you just squeal?" He asked, a brow raised.

"Uh...no?" My face heated up.

"You're so fucking adorable." He chuckled under his breath. I coughed and felt my cheeks warm even more.

"W-what?" He said I was adorable? Tobias.. the model-like, athletic, god-like, sexy beast in front of me, thought I, Gilberto Mendoza, the most awkward being to ever walk the planet, was adorable.

"Um.. yeah so here. Let me show you again," and from the looks of it, he did not mean to admit it out loud. Suddenly, he was behind me, gripping my elbow. My entire body was filled with a pleasant current and I nearly closed my eyes in content. Why did he have such an effect on me?

"Here. Move your arm up like this," he positioned my arm, and then grabbed my hand. "And put your hand here. When you shoot, just kinda let go. You're not chucking the ball, you're letting it fly from your hands, alright? And just let it roll off." He put the ball in my hands and still held on as I blushed and shot the ball. It flew through the air freely before it finally reached the net.

Swish.

"I did it!" I turned and launched myself into Tobias, hugging him tightly. He seemed to freeze for a moment before wrapping his arms tightly around my waist, pulling me closer. His face was nuzzled into my neck, his warm breath caressing my skin, making every single one of my hair's stand on end. I couldn't help but think that my body fit perfectly against his.

"Ahem," I squealed again, leaping away from Tobias with a bright blush upon my cheeks. "The bell rang like ten minutes ago." Ajax grinned, looking back and forth between the two of us. I kept my head low, completely mortified. I was practically cuddling him, right in front of everyone... So much for trying to not look gay...

"Hey, Gill. Do you need a ride home?" I noticed Tobias had a bit of red seeping down his neck. He was blushing? Maybe he was ashamed.. The thought instantly ruined my lovesick high.

"Um, t-thank you... But I can walk," I quickly grabbed my bag before sprinting toward the door, ignoring the beautiful boy I was leaving behind.
