Xi Wan laughed. “How old should she be to be considered an adult then? Thirty or forty years old? All of us are adults and we have to take responsibility for our mistakes. If you treat Xi Shu like a child, am I not a child then? If my mother was still alive, wouldn’t Xi Ze and I be her babies then?”

Wang Rui said awkwardly, “I’m at fault for this too. I didn’t educate her well. You can come at me directly if you are angry.”

“Okay.” Xi Wan raised her head. “I can forgive Xi Shu and she doesn’t have to go to prison, so why don’t the two of you go to prison on her behalf?”

However, the security guard said, “The auction house didn’t send an invitation to the Xi family, so you won’t be able to take out any invitation card at all.”

Xi Kang was dumbfounded and he was pushed aside by the people behind him who complained, “You two old fogeys, you’re here to cause trouble without an invitation? Get lost, don’t waste our time here!”

Xi Kang stumbled and almost fell to the ground. Wang Rui quickly supported him and her tears started to fall again. She cried and said, “What should we do now? Are we just going to wait at the entrance until the auction is over? What if they don’t leave this place? This is our only chance so we can’t miss it!”

“Stop crying!” Xi Kang was annoyed.

Wang Rui was still crying when a voice suddenly came from above her head, “Aren’t you Mrs. Xi?”

Wang Rui looked up and saw Li Yue.

“Mrs. Li!” When Wang Rui saw Li Yue, she felt as if she was her last resort. “Please, please, think of a way to get us in!”

Li Yue was a little embarrassed and said, “If you two don’t have an invitation, it’ll be very difficult for me.”

“I’m begging you!” Wang Rui pleaded again.
