"Ex-King and Queen. So I hear you tried to kill my son" His mom says, looking at my house in some sort of way. "Ahh. Yes. Funny story. Sit down please" They sit all properly, including Lucas. I smile slightly. I try to sit next to Luke but he places me on his lap. Really? "So, we met, when I needed beds for my pack. He worked there with 3 other guys. We met and we got along then, three days later the council was going to arrive, he confessed I was his mate. For a couple of days, well it was good. Then when we were going to leave for the first pack, the Rouge King came and asked for my hand in marriage and I said no. Luke asked why I didn't tell Alexander of us being mates. I told him I couldn't focus on that now" the queen made a small nod of approval.
"He and I argued, I told him I could not right then. That it wouldn't work out. He was future King, I was an Alpha. I had responsibilities with this pack. I promised their protection. I told him he could go with us, or go to you. When we finished our first pack, there was a letter in my suitcase. He said I was right and that he left. Surely two days later his coronation was announced, and his marriage was too. We needed one last pack. But Lucia could no more so we went back. I told my Beta I'd be back soon and I headed out. When I arrived at his room he was there like a creep. We argued and then made up" I explain the whole story in a short version.
"In our argument, we used weapons against each other" Lucas tells them.
"Yep-" I stop as June begins speaking. "Alpha sorry to interrupt. But according to Blair-" she begins and I nod. My "mother-in-law" glares at June and interrupts her. "Doesn't the service not know we are here. Shoo!" She says, indignant and looking at me, ordering me silently to tell June to leave. I glare. "I'm sorry but this is a pack member and a member of my family. So don't disrespect her. Now, what was it June?" I ask and I ignore the Queen's glare. June bows. "According to Blaire, Alpha Kyle's troops along with about 30 hunters, are outside the castle. This includes the hunter that had the two and your kids. Also in the secret entrance is Rouge King Alexander" June says, looking down. I link her and tell her to ignore them because they aren't important. She smiles softly and nods.
"Allow entrance to Alex, tell him to meet me in the tactics room as well as the top warriors, this is a Code K. You know what to do," I say. We had trained for months for something like this. I had imagined Kyle would do something like this. "Yes Alpha," she says. June taps away on her tablet and a silent alarm rings throughout everyone through the mind link. We'd just received it as a gift from Lucas when we became the number one pack. The kids stop playing and quickly gather their stuff, put them in the toy shed, and run inside the castle.
They head up to the highest tower. I spot the T's with the girls coming. I whistle and they come over to me. "Listen. I want you to head up to the tower. If there aren't any adults, you 5 are in charge. Whatever you do, please don't go outside. Easton is here. Please, I don't want to lose my kids. Okay? Your dad and I, we are gonna be ready. Don't worry. Get Rick and Gina. I don't want them there. They could get affected by seeing Easton" I say. They nod and hug me. I head to the tactics area and I can hear the faint knocks, well pounding, on the stone part of the gates outside.
I go in and head to the big chair. I sit down and greet Alex. "Alexander" I nod. He grins. "Alexa. Good day, well not really. So we have war, yay. Now, what's up?" Alex says sarcastically. I smile. "We have 5 teams. There's Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, and Team 09. Team 09 is to go East of the borders. I'm pretty sure they'll try to jump the gates. When we first made the gates, I made it so it was able to be put down, going down into the ground. We will do that. We must be fair, we aren't cowards. Team Gamma you will go to the northwest. Team Beta will protect the south. Team Alpha and Delta will protect the North Flank. They'll go through the north"
They nodded, knowing that was where the entrance was. "Lucia, if you see any hunters, get their weapons away from them. You, Hudson and Flor, are team Magic" I wink and she smiles. "I want the barrier Lucy created in the castle. In there are our children, as well as our new members are there now for they haven't learned what we know. Alex" I explain and they all nod. I turn to Alex giving him the chance to speak.
"Hello, people. Some of my men will go to the teams she said. Listen to the leader. We are rogues but loyal to me. If we win, we will get a feast" Alex says cockily and I bite back the laugh. "Leaders. Team 09 is Blaire. Team Beta, Janelle. Team Gamma is Jennifer. Team Delta, Blake. And I'll lead team Alpha. So will Alex and Luke. Move out!" I say. We nod and head out. I make sure every kid is there and I smile. The women and the elders are there too. Only the women, pregnant or ill of course. Our population is 69% female and 31%, male. I lock the door and I make sure they lock it inside. I sigh and change quickly. I nod at Daniel and he pushes a button. The gates go down and I go to the front with Luke by one side and Alex by the other. Behind us, Carlos and some of the vampire warriors stand. Kyle comes in, looking smug.
"Kyle, Kyle, Kyle. Shame. Well, I kind of always knew you were stupid. Can't even listen to directions?" I taunt and he smirks. Why isn't he growling? "I found that if an Alpha doesn't want to give the pack member, then he can call forth a jury" he smirks. That's when I smirk and he looks confused. "Yes yes. That is correct and you want one?" I ask, making sure. "Yes," he says. "My jury" he points to my uncles, who've been banned before because of serious crimes, and my father.
I tut. "Okay, I bring forth the council as Judges! And may the truth be revealed!" Kyle looks scared. With that, the air turns dense and the council appears in all their glory. The pack and I bow at the council, as do the vamps and Alex. "Council. Welcome to this your pack. Kyle Rivera wishes to have a jury. He wants the 5 girls; Diane, Skylar, Stephanie, Athena and Storm Drecol back into his pack. These girls are 7 & 8 years of age" I tell them and look at Kyle. "I want those girls back. I was given full custody of them. They're my responsibility. After their parents died I took care of them" he says innocently. "How?" I ask. "How what?" He asks, nervously.
"How did their parents die?" I repeat. "A battle?" He says softly. "Between?" I ask. He glares. "That's none of your business!" He says, defensively. I got him. "But the thing is, Alpha Kyle. You never told us of this battle that you had. So answer. Who was the battle between? You need to inform the council and give a reason" Elder Vincent says, raising an eyebrow.
Kyle hides his disgust at the most powerful Vampire. "The Lio-" he begins but I stop and finish for him. "The LionSun Pack" I glare. He turns to me. "How do you know?!" He basically screeches. "They came here seeking help. You left one badly injured, burned to nearly no bit of recognition" I say through gritted teeth. "Oh?" He didn't care and that got me mad. "Who attacked who first?" Elder Fran asks. "They did," he says quickly and Lucas holds me back. "Lies! He attacked that pack first. For 2 simple reasons!" I yell. "...and what are those reasons dear?" Elder Ariel says calmly.
"A) He knew they weren't a big and strong pack. B) He wanted their land. Kyle Rivera has been trying to get many of the small packs to become pack members of his. When he found out the Alpha said no to him, and he was going to come for a treaty with me. He was killed along with the Betas and some few warriors. But you know Kyle, In order to own a pack you must have the deeds, handed down to you unless of course every single member died and you found the deed, isn't that right elders?" I turn to them. "That is right my dear. And if my people are saying the truth, they've seen your pack lurking in that area. So that's why Alpha Sun never showed up to our meeting" Elder Wendy says.
"I have one question. Who has the deed then?" Elder Angel asks. "I do, Elder Angel. Today when we arrived, I was informed by my Beta that rouges came, some beaten, some hurt, some okay, one badly burned. I went and there, Aaron told me the story, he said his Alpha told him as Beta to give the deed to an Alpha who will protect them. They've heard of what had happened to me, my story, and how my pack has reached great power in 6 months. Aaron then gave me the deed," I look towards house 12.
"I accepted. With or without the deed, I can't let them turn rouge, it was one of my promises. I would help rouges or old pack members who were abandoned by their pack or they had no more pack. Council. I wish to ask for you to allow me to make that territory mine. I have promised them that I'll make sure that territory is safe. As you know from the last time, my pack has expanded a lot. And also I seek your permission to get the no man's territory behind my pack" I bow, and look at them. "But I asked first!" Kyle whines. "Yes, you did child but you never follow rules do you? I had hoped my vision wasn't true. Mist, Angelina. I give my vote for the territories to be given to Alpha Summers. She has proven herself, she made her pack unbelievable. They are strong, kind, and they have made this young Rouge king kinder, as our polls have said his random killing sprees have gone down 40%! " Elder Ortence says to the co-leaders and smiles at the pack and at me. Alexander winks at the council.
"Very well then. I, Dark Angel Mist give you, Alexandria Summers permission to have both territories. Onward!" Elder Mist says and turns to Elder Angel. "Yes yes. Now we are here about the girls; Diane, Skylar, Stephanie, Athena and Storm Drecol. Kyle you have the first word" Elder Angel says to Kyle. "I wish for them back so I can take care of them, Their parents were loyal and I want them to be raised in the pack that their parents were raised in. That's all" Kyle says "humbly". I scoff. "Those are lies. He only wants them because of the big trust fund those girls have! When we came forth, I asked who wished to join me, and then up came Diane, telling me of how they've been treated. when they came from getting their stuff, she handed me the letter". They watched me, looking for lies.
"It spoke of a trust fund and how they planned ahead. I don't know how but he found out. Diane said he had tried to make them give it to him but they didn't as they didn't trust him. I can't believe how he'd use children like that. It's most likely because of me taking my factory back. And that man not being able to give Kyle money. We all know how his gambling has been. Basically spending all of the old Alpha and Luna's money. May they rest in peace" I say, pointing to Kyle as I talk about his parents who were so kind.
"Yuck!! Thatzzz hurendouzzzzz, uuuzzzzing children like that! I zzzay we kill him!" Elder Drake hisses. "Then my poor wolves will have to be rogues!" Elder William protests. "Well, as far as I know, they basically helped. Don't say they were forced because one could've stopped him" Elder Genevieve argues. "You my dear Genevieve are correct. I say they all die!" Elder Devon answers, holding his scythe. "I'm sorry elders. I hate him and stuff as well as that pack especially Kyle and my father. But there must be other ways and I'm not letting their bodies be killed in my territory. The stench will be 10Ã worse" I protest" Elder Mist scowls.
"I suppose we can't kill him, but oh well. Gen, Dev, Drake, put those weapons away we can't use them today, Serene. No singing, no reaping today sadly. Well, Angel will talk about the consequences. And Alexa although I wanted to kill him, and you pooped on the party, I admire you. Good luck my child. Let's go guys. Come on Drake! I'll leave with those who wanted to kill him. You too Ariel and Fran. You two care for children too much" Elder Mist says, frowning.
"Well okay, then. Now you Mr. Kyle are to leave this pack alone. I'll give you a year's probation. If in that year, you kill any single pack or try to attack here, your position will be revoked and they will go rogue. Now as for these hunters, Wendy" Elder Wendy snaps her fingers and the hunters dissolve. "Now. Good day. Goodbye" Elder Angel says. They all turn around and so do we, about to head inside, but then I hear a little sound almost unnoticeable, even to our werewolf hearing. I turn and see my uncles pointing three guns.
One aimed at me, one at Elder William, and one at Elder Ortence. I scream and I run towards the two Elders since they are close. Just as my uncle shoots, I feel three bullets go to my back. Fuck! I feel myself fall and I look up at the Elders. I sigh as I see them safe and feel my eyes closing. I faintly hear my pack screaming and howling. Alex's face mad, and Luke, oh Luke, telling me to stay awake. Oh but I can't...
