Chapter 19: CHAPTER 19

Hemmawich's family main house.

In the study, a middle-aged man sat face to face with a child.

Lil Rak sat sideways angrily, with one calf resting on the sofa, not looking at the person opposite.

His face was black and gray, like a small tabby cat. His mouth was pouted high, the back of the little schoolbag on his back was crooked and the strap of the schoolbag had slipped on his arm.

Someone just came over and said that he would take his schoolbag away, Lil Rak rolled around on the ground and didn't let him succeed.

Lil Rak glanced at the opposite man secretly, and then quickly retracted his eyes.

He didn't recognize this  fierce looking person. He just helped someone to pick up a ball and then he was caught here in a daze.

Lil Rak sucked his nose hard, not letting the tears fall out but his sadness broke and he was so sad, he was finally abducted by the bad guy.

He misses Dad so much! He may never see Dad again!

Tony tried his best to pull out a smile that seemed barely pass as one. He asked slowly, "Little guy, what's your name?"

Lil Rak glanced at him and it took a long time before he whispered, "Rak."

Tony frowned and then quickly returned to smile, "Lil Rak, do you know who I am?"

Lil Rak shook his head honestly, and Tony asked again, "Do you know Alan?"

Lin Keai was confused.

The word Alan is very familiar. He tilted his head and thought, "Uncle Alan?"

"Yes, I am Alan's father," Tony said with a smile, "You should call me Grandpa."

Alan dragged his car all the way to the kindergarten.

Finally saw Jeff shrinking in the corner at the school gate, his heart tightened and he immediately walked over, step by step.

Jeff raised his head when he heard footsteps.

Jeff nose was sore. He didn't expect Alan to come so quickly and he didn't expect that the moment he saw Alan, he would feel a little relieved.

"You've came."

The voice is so hoarse.

He wanted to stand up but squatted for too long. When he stood up suddenly, his eyes were dark, his feet softened and he almost fell.

Fortunately, Alan supported him so that he would not be more embarrassed.

Alan touched his cold hand and quickly took off his coat and put it on him,

"Sit in the car."

He half embraced Jeff and went to the car.

The warm temperature on the car made Jeff in a trance for a moment.

Alan went out and bought him a cup of hot drink, and waited for Jeff to get over.

"Aunt Lisa wanted to help me pick up Lil Rak. She said she was late for 10 mins and thought I took him when he was not here. I watch the cctv and found that he was gone a long time ago but I don't know who took him away."

Jeff  red eyes was red, "Blame me! I should go pick him up by myself. Do you think something will happen to him? What should I do if he is sold by a trafficker... "

Jeff has been holding on since he knew Lil Rak was missing and even went to pacify Aunt Qin so that she would not blame herself too much.

In fact, He was so panicked that his hands kept trembling when he adjusted the cctv but it was only at this moment that he completely released his anxiety, collapse and crying in front of Alan.

"Don't worry, there must be a way to solve it. I have already reported to the police and there are so many buildings around here, there must be other cameras recording Lil Rak whereabouts." Alan gently stroke Jeff's bangs to his ear. "Don't worry, I will definitely find him."

Jeff believes that Alan is also nervous and worried about their son, but he doesn't seem to show it.

"You are good." Jeff said with a wry smile, "You are right, I really can't take care of him."

Alan frowned, soothing him, "Don't think about it."

He got up, just about to get out of the car, the phone suddenly rang.

Alan answered the phone impatiently, not knowing what the other side said, his face changed suddenly.

Jeff vaguely felt that the call was related to Lil Rak and he straightened up.

Alan glanced at Jeff and pressed the hands-free.

He heard Lil Rak's crying milk voice from the other side, "Dad, where are you?! I miss you, come pick me up!"

Jeff grabbed Alan's arm and said excitedly.

"Baby, where are you? Dad will pick you up right away!"

"I'm with Grandpa!"

"Grandpa?"

Jeff looked at Alan suspiciously and he replied in a low voice, "My dad."

Jeff stared. His eyes widened, "You mean, Lil Rak is with your dad?"

"Yes, I know where he is." Alan said, "Don't worry, he will be fine. I will take you to pick him up now. "

"Why is Lil Rak with your dad? "

Lil Rak was taken away not by a stranger after all. After feeling slightly relieved, he could not help but start to think, "How he knows about Lil Rak?. What is he doing taking my baby away? Isn't he going to bring the Lil Rak back to the Hemmawich family?"

"You calm down first, and we'll know when we get there,"

Jeff is extremely nervous, causing Alan to be somewhat nervous now.

Alan did not feel alarm. On the contrary, when he looked at Jeff's restless look, Alan only felt infinitely soft hearted, "I promise, Lil Rak will be alright okay? He will go back home with you."

The orange light of the street light outside penetrated all corners in the car, covering all the sharpness with a layer of gentleness.

Jeff listened to Alan's deep voice and looked at his calm profile, the ups and downs in his heart were smoothed out suddenly.

The Hemmawich family's main house is at the other end of the city, far away from the kindergarten.

Alan drove quickly. Jeff looked at his profile and thought of Alan's gentle comfort.

There was an illusion of a world away.

He leaned on the back of the car seat and murmured, "Thank you."

"Thank you?" Alan smiled at him faintly, "Isn't Lil Rak also my son?"

Jeff mouth also raised slightly, really unexpected.

He and Alan can still speak in such a harmonious way.

"Actually, I have always wanted to ask you why you would be so good to Lil Rak? I thought you would hate him very much."

Alan thought for a while and said, "I don't want him to be like me."

Alan always thought that Lil Rak would inherit his character, that is an irreparable shortcoming and he doesn't want his son to do the same.

He was vague, thinking that Jeff would continue to ask questions but what was waiting for him was the sound of Jeff's even breathing.

The road was long and Jeff fell asleep unconsciously.

The red light at the intersection was a bit long and during the waiting time, Alan's eyes stayed on Jeff's face.

He is actually far from being as calm as his appearance.

He remembered the eyes Jeff had looked at him with, wet like an abandoned puppy.

Jeff looks wronged, helpless and fragile that made him very unbearable.

Alan is not surprised that he will have such emotions for him.

After reuniting again, the Jeff he saw completely overturned his previous view of him.

It is difficult for him to combine the current Jeff with the gloomy and misbehaving Jeff before.

From personality to habits, the more he comes into contact, the more he think they are two completely opposite people.

How could there be such a big gap of personality?

He used to think of Jeff with disgust, but now he feels that he owes him a debt and can't bear it.
