Mrs. An looked utterly bewildered.

Mrs. Zhang, the oldest daughter-in-law, kept on saying that Su Yunjin wanted to embezzle the Gu Family’s money. She didn’t clarify her accusation yet had gathered the entire Gu Family to confront Su Yunjin and Gu Ya in their room.

“Oldest daughter-in-law, make yourself clear. What money does the third daughter-in-law want to embezzle? Why can’t I understand what you’re talking about?”

The fourth daughter-in-law, Mrs. Han spoke in a strange tone, “Mother, I told you that third sister-in-law was untrustworthy! You didn’t believe me. Look at the evidence the oldest sister-in-law has found! Our Gu Family is already so poor, and yet the third sister-in-law still wants to embezzle the Gu Family’s silver, tsk, that’s just shameless.”

People like Su Yunjin, Mrs. Han thought she should have drowned when she fell into the water back then!

“Yes, it was just over one tael of silver,” Mrs. Han declared confidently.

Su Yunjin looked at Mrs. Zhang and Mrs. Han, feeling that when it came to shamelessness, these two were unparalleled. The Gu Family’s silver was all managed by Mrs. An. Now that the Gu Family was impoverished, Mrs. An didn’t even have a single tael of silver in her possession. How could Su Yunjin possibly have stolen that much money from her?

Mrs. An was even more puzzled, “Eldest daughter-in-law, third daughter-in-law, what exactly is going on here?”

Mrs. An understood, “So, the silver that Yunjin has was given by her eldest brother and second sister?”
