Sensing her anger, Ada quickly tugged at her sleeve. “Mom, you came here to apologize to Silvia. You promised me that you wouldn’t argue with her before you left the house. Have you forgotten?”

Mindy bit her lip and took a deep breath. “I was thoughtless with my words before. What do I have to do for you to forgive me?” she said.

Although Silvia seemed indifferent, she had slowly run out of patience.

“Ms. Woods, you don’t have to force yourself to apologize to me. Considering Ada and Neil’s relationship, it should be relatively easy to change his mind. I have to head to work now. Goodbye.”

Ada consoled Mindy and gently patted her back. “Mom, let’s return for now. Since she won’t forgive you, we’ll have to think of another way to regain the project for Pond Corporation.”
