She shook her head, but she did not tell Zayn that Neil was suspicious of him.

“Nothing. Let’s go back, Zayn.”

On the way back, Silvia remained silent. She looked out the window and fell into deep thought.

Once the car stopped in front of Elm Bay, she unfastened her seatbelt to leave. But Zayn stopped her.

“Sil, we’ll support you no matter what, but I don’t think Neil Remus is a good match for you. I hope you’ll consider it carefully.”

Silvia was momentarily stunned before she softly replied, “I know. He and I are divorced. It’s impossible for us to be together.”

“Alright. Get some rest. These unhappy times will soon pass.”
