Camie was almost running at this point and Théa was scared that she would throw her over her shoulder and continue like that. Fortunately Camie didn't do any of that and she just continued supporting Théa until they reached the closest infirmary. It wasn't that far because they had been lucky enough to be standing five minutes away from a building and soon they found themselves in front of the door.
Camie immediately let go of Théa and knocked loudly on the door. She knocked so hard that the door opened and Camie immediately barged into the room. She was used to doors breaking in front of her at this point and she didn't pay it any attention anymore.
"Is someone here? Miss Nurse?"
The room was rather small and Camie soon understood that the Nurse was absent for the moment. She went back out to get Théa and walked her to the closest chair:
"Sit here. The Nurse should be back soon. Should I go look for her? Does it hurt a lot? Show me."
Camie didn't wait for Théa to answer and started pulling on her shirt.
"C-Camie?"
Our main character couldn't hear what Théa was saying and she was in full panic mode at this point. She was pulling on Théa's shirt more and more while the latter finally woke up and grabbed Camie's arms to stop her. Camie was so focused however that she didn't notice her hands being immobilized and she only woke up when Théa brung her wrists closer and screamed her name:
"Camie!"
The young woman finally snapped out of it and when she looked up she saw a very flushed Théa. Seeing the hero blushing made her realize what she had just done and she looked down at the shirt again before screaming:
"Sorry!"
Wanting to put as much distance between them as possible, Camie suddenly backed away and lost her balance. She already accepted that she would fall on her butt and closed her eyes not trying to prevent it at all. But when the world stopped moving, Camie realized that she didn't feel pain at all. She focused on her body to make sure but there was no doubt possible. She was fine.
Wondering how that was possible, Camie opened her eyes only to find herself inches from green eyes. She almost screamed again but held back. She tried getting away from Théa but her head was maintained in place by Théas hand. How could she be so strong? Camie knew she was Black Gold but it felt as if her hand was made out of stone.
"Are you okay?"
Théa didn't look away from Camie for a second, waiting for an answer anxiously. Camie immediately nodded and that was when she felt the ground under her body. That was when she realized that she was lying on the ground and that Théa was on top of her. It seemed Théa had protected Camie from the fall, her arms around her waist and head. Théa was indeed strong but the reason why her hand felt like stone was the floor tiles under it.
Having realized that, Camie started blushing. Why was she always the one getting saved by Théa? This was so embarrassing. She brought her here to help her and she only made things worse:
"I'm sorry!
-Are you okay?
-Yes! Yes. I'm fine."
She suddenly remembered about Théas wound and started fidgeting:
"What about you? Are you okay? Oh! I'm so sorry. Sorry!"
She grabbed Théa's shoulder but seeing the latter twitch made her immediately let go. Camie raised her hands on top of her head and let them there, not daring touch anything anymore:
"Sorry! I'm so sorry!
-No, it's okay. I'm glad you're okay.
-But..."
Camie didn't have time to say anything because just as they were laying on the ground, the door to the infirmary opened and the nurse finally came back. Seeing the two women on the ground made her immediately frown:
"No! No sex in the infirmary!
-What?
-Haven't you seen the sign? The beds are for patients only."
Camie finally understood the misunderstanding and she tried pushing Théa away:
"No! It's not what you think! We just fell. She's a patient."
Théa didn't look at the nurse once and made sure once again that Camie was okay before finally getting up and extending Camie her hand. Camie however ignored the help and jumped up alone, getting more and more into explanations:
"She isn't feeling good. Her head hurt and I thought she would faint. I quickly brought her here but you weren't here so I brought her to the chair. I am sorry if we came in but I didn't know what to do. You need to save her. Her head hurts. And..."
Camie had rapped faster than anyone before and the nurse quickly motioned her to calm down:
"Why don't you have a glass of water? Don't worry. I will look at your friend, okay?"
Camie slowly nodded:
"Okay... Oh, and sorry about the door.
-What's with the door?
-If you didn't notice then nothing."
Camie poured herself a glass of water and sat down on a chair, waiting for the nurse to check on Théa. The latter didn't say anything about her wound and only complained about a mild headache. Just after Théa finished talking, they heard the phone ring from another room. The nurse gave Théa some medicine before turning to Camie:
"I am sorry, I have to take this call. You can stay here to rest a bit if you want. But no sex."
Camie quickly nodded:
"Never."
The nurse didn't seem convinced but she left the girls without adding anything. Being alone again, Camie rushed to Théa's side:
"How are you feeling? Did the medicine work? I don't think it worked. Judging by the capsule, the effects should appear after 30 minutes. Maybe less. Maybe more.
-I see. Thank you so much for taking me here. I am so sorry that I prevented you from going to the coffee shop with your friends."
Camie quickly shook her head:
"No! It's okay. The most important thing is that you are fine.
-I feel bad. May I give you something?"
Théa looked through her bag before handing Camie a cookie:
"I know that you don't accept gifts but you just did me a great favor. Would it be okay to thank you with a cookie?"
Camie thought about it for long seconds. She really loved cookies. She didn't know how Théa found out that it was her favorite sweet lately. However she didn't like accepting things from others. She felt uncomfortable doing so and she just couldn't. She wasn't used to it. She had a blockade with this.
Feeling that Camie didn't like it, Théa added:
"I don't want you to feel any kind of pressure. You don't have to accept it if you don't want to. I would just better accept your help if I could give you something. I feel like it would be unfair to you otherwise."
Camie thought about it some more. Would it be okay if she accepted the cookie as payment for helping Théa? No. She didn't deserve thanks. She was the reason why Théa got hurt in the first place. She should be the one thanking Théa, not the other way around.
"I'm sorry...
-Don't apologize. It's okay. I am sorry I insisted.
-It's okay..."
Camie kept staring while Théa put the cookie away. She really wanted to eat it. Why couldn't she just accept it? It looked like a really good cookie. Noticing Camie's, gaze made Théa smile:
"I'll be honest. I was given this cookie by a very nice lady. I don't really like this flavor but I didn't dare say no."
Camie's head jerked up:
"Aren't you going to eat it?
-I don't think so... But I don't want it to go to waste.
-Then... I could... I mean, only if that sounds good of course but in the possibility that you wouldn't eat it, just so it doesn't go to waste, I could maybe save you from it."
Théa did her best to hold back a laugh:
"That's a very good idea. Thank you so much. I would have felt uncomfortable having to throw it out."
Camie almost jumped on the cookie and ate it in three bites only.
