Chapter 0189 Chapter 0189 Ella POV Antonio Kingsman, a tall, slim man with a head of striking white hair and pronounced smile lines, entered the reception area with an air of quiet confidence. His sharp suit and polished demeanor made it clear why he was so sought after.
He extended a hand toward me, his warm smile putting me instantly at ease.
âMiss Rowan, I presume,â he greeted. âAntonio Kingsman. Itâs a pleasure to finally meet you.â
ââ
I shook his hand firmly and returned his smile. âElla Rowan. The pleasure is mine, Mr. Kingsman.â
âI understand youâre Alexander Blackâs fiancée,â he said, his tone carrying both curiosity and warmth. âIâve had the honor of working with Alexander for quite some time, and Iâve often wondered what kind of woman could finally steal his heart.â
I chuckled softly. âI like to think he gave it freely.â
Mr. Kingsman laughed, his eyes crinkling with amusement. âTouché. Iâm sure he has.â He gestured toward the seating area. âSo, Miss Rowan, what brings you to my shop today? Were you hoping to have a dress made?â
âActually,â I began, hesitating slightly, âI was hoping you could help me with a surprise for Alexander.â
âA surprise for Alexander Black?â His brows lifted in mock disbelief. âNow thatâs a tall order. But if anyone can make it happen, itâs me. Tell me, what did you have in mind? Accessories, perhaps? Cufflinks? A new tie?â
I shook my head, smiling. âA custom outfit,â I said. âSomething designed and made just for him. And, preferably, without him knowing.â
He tilted his head, considering. âI see. And is there a particular occasion for this surprise?â
âI want to take him out for a nice date,â I explained, smiling softly. âSomething laid back and relaxing. He needs a break from things. I havenât decided on the details yet, but I know an outfit like this will take time to make, so I thought it was best to speak with you first.â
Mr. Kingsman looked thoughtful, then smiled warmly. âWell, I look forward to hearing what you plan. I must admit, Iâm curious about what youâll decide on. As for the outfit, I can make time to create something for Alexander in secret. If you leave your phone number, Iâll text you sketches for approval before I start cutting the fabric. Iâll also send the pricing details that way.â
âThat sounds perfect,â I said, my smile widening. It felt like things were falling into place. I was genuinely excited about the prospect of showing Alexander even a small token of gratitude for everything heâd done for me.
The arrangement between us was supposed to be equal, yet it felt like he was always coming to my rescue. This was my chance to start evening the scales.
âWell, with that settled, may I ask you something?â Mr. Kingsmanâs expression shifted slightly, a hint of concern appearing.
âOf course,â I replied.
âDo you know if Alexander is getting his wedding suit made elsewhere?â he asked, his brows knitting together. Your wedding isnât far offâ
at least, according to the news and he hasnât come in to speak with me about his suit.â
âHe hasnât said anything to you at all?â I asked, surprised.
â(

âIâll speak to him about it,â I said, reassured by his candor âIâm heading to see him right after this, so Iâll make sure to bring it up.â
âJust a gentle reminder,â he said with a slight smile. âIâm sure heâs busy with all the other details of wedding planning, but Iâd hate for him to forget.â
âOf course,â I replied, returning his smile. âThank you for letting me know.â
âIt was my pleasure, Miss Rowan,â he said with a polite, bow. âAnd thank you for gracing us with your presence today.â
âThank you for making the time to see us,â I said to Mr. Kingsman before leaving my phone number with the receptionist.
Elizabeth, James, and I exited the tailor shop shortly after.
Once we were out of earshot, Elizabeth leaned toward me. âShould we be concerned that Alexander doesnât have a suit yet?â
