Chapter 9
*Aaron*
Victoria didn't stay long. She said she had something to do and left. I know she really just didn't want to be around Sophie.
"Sophie," I started. She sat on my lap playing with a n app on my phone. "why don't you like Victoria?"
"She bad." she answered.
"Why do you say that?"
"Because Daddy mine."
My brows furrowed. Is that what the problem is? She doesn't want to lose me? But doesn't she know I would never leave her.
"You can share daddy, right?" I asked her.
"Uh, uh." she shook her head. "Daddy mine."
I heard footsteps and looked to see my mom coming from upstairs. She looked as though she'd just woken up.
"Hey Aaron." she greeted me. "I accidentally fell asleep upstairs while Sophie was taking a nap."
"She was up when we got here."
"We?"
"Victoria was here for a little while, then left."
"Victoria bad." Sophie said.
"She isn't bad." I sighed.
I picked up Sophie and placed her on the floor. She sat in the middle of the floor, not looking up from the game she was playing. My mom sat on the couch to watch Sophie while I went upstairs to call Victoria.
I laid on my bed and dialed Victoria's phone. It rang a couple of times before she answered.
"Hi." she said.
"I'm really sorry about Sophie." I apologized.
"Don't be, it's fine."
"I know why she's acting that way, now I just need to fix it. She thinks you're going to steal me from her."
"Awe, how cute. But she should know that no one could steal you away."
"Yeah I would think so, but I guess it's because I haven't had a girlfriend since she was born. She's never had to share my attention with anyone. But anyway, when do you want to go on another date?"
"I don't know. Whenever you're free I guess."
I looked at my watch and saw it was only 5:30. We didn't get to spend as much time together as I'd wanted to earlier today.
"How about today? I'll pick you up in an hour?"
"Okay. I'll be ready."
*Victoria*
I hung up and smiled. This will be my third date with Aaron, not including the dinner dates we had with our parents. I don't know what it is but no matter how many times, when he asks to hang out with me I feel special. I get to hang out with Aaron Evans, the most popular guy in school, as much as I want. I feel as time goes that will never change.
I took a long refreshing shower then found something to wear. I searched through my closet and drawers and decided on a black circle skirt with a cropped burgundy sweater. I slipped on black tights and slipped on my pair of heeled black lace up ankle boots. I dried my hair and led it fall across my shoulders in its natural curls. I applied my makeup which consisted of a light smoky eye, eye liner, mascara, and light pink lip gloss.
Soon there was a knock at the door and I rushed to answer it. I smiled at the sight of Aaron standing before me in dark jeans and a black hoodie.
"Ready to go?" he asked with a smile.
"Yeah." I answered with a nod.
We climbed in his car and he pulled out of my drive and drove off. We're not going in the direction of the movie theatre, so maybe we're going to dinner?
Soon Aaron pulled the car over to the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. He got out and I followed after him.
"What are we doing here?" I asked as he came around to take my hand.
"It's a surprise." he responded, leading me into the nearby woods.
There was a small path that we followed and I was thankful since I didn't really have on the shoes to be walking over fallen branches or the clothes to be walking through bushes. Where is he leading me anyway? We're in the middle of nowhere.
"Seriously," I started. "where are you taking me?"
"Just wait, we're almost there."
We soon came to the most romantic thing I'd ever seen. There was a blanket laid out on a medium sized patch of grass with two lit candles placed in the center, and a picnic basket. There was the view of the beach with dark water brushing up on the sand. I didn't know we were this close to the beach.
"What's all this?" I asked.
"I just thought I'd switch it up a little. Do you like it?"
"I love it."
We sat across from each other on the blanket. Aaron took two sandwiches from the basket and handed one to me.
"Thanks." I said, taking the sandwich.
I took a bite of my sandwich as I looked at the moon's glow on the ocean. This is like the perfect spot. I've never seen anything as beautiful as this.
"I figured you'd like the view." Aaron said. "We go for a walk after if you'd like."
"I'd like that." I smiled. "You know, I never pegged you as the romantic type."
"I can be romantic. I could be anything for you."
I felt my cheeks warm up and knew I was blushing. Luckily it's too dark for him to tell.
"I don't know why everyone says you're a bad guy." I said. "They obviously don't see what I do."
"And what's that?" he asked.
"A great father who loves his daughter with all his heart. A guy who will go out of his way to spend time with his girlfriend. And a guy who I want to be with for a very long time."
"You forgot outrageously handsome." he smirked and I laughed. "You really see all that?" I nodded.
"Of course I do. Who wouldn't?"
He reached across the picnic basket to meet his lips with mine. Butterflies filled my stomach like usual when he kisses me.
"You're amazing." Aaron said after pulling away. If possible, my cheeks became even more flushed. "How about we take that walk now?"
"Okay."
I held my shoes in one hand and I held Aaron's hand with my other as we walked along the beach. It's nice to just talk to Aaron. It's also great that I know he doesn't expect anything from me. He may have gotten all the way with his previous girlfriends, but I know that he's willing to wait for me, which only makes him even more perfect.

When it was almost 11:00, Aaron drove me home. Unfortunately we have school tomorrow. If it weren't for that, we'd still be at the beach stargazing.
"I had fun tonight." I said. "No one has ever done what you did for me tonight."
"Well I'm glad to be the first. That way you'll always remember it was me who did it."
""I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Of course."
He leaned in and met his lips with mine. I rest my hand on his cheek as I kissed him back. This kiss was more than just a goodbye kiss, but it didn't matter. I can never get enough of him.
"Bye." he said, pulling away.
I reluctantly climbed out of his car and walked up the path to my front door. I waved goodbye before going inside.
I brought my index finger up to my lips and slowly ran it across my bottom lip. No matter how many times I kiss Aaron, it's like the first time all over again.
*Aaron*
After a rough morning with Sophie not wanting me to leave, I finally made it to school. Caleb met me by the entrance.
"Hey." he greeted me. "It's like I don't see you anymore. You're always with Victoria."
"Shouldn't I be? She's my girlfriend." I made my way to my locker.
"Yeah I know," he said, walking with me. "but you have friends. Best friends, who'd like to hang out with you sometime."
"We hang out at practice." I opened my locker and grabbed the books I needed.
"You're joking right? We're always serious during practice."
"Alright fine, what do you want me to do?"
"I want you to spend a little more time with your friends. You can bring Victoria along too."
"You know I can't with Fawn around."
"Fawn is harmless, don't worry about her. We're having a bonfire tonight at the beach. You should come, and bring Victoria along with you."
"I'll ask."
"Great."
Caleb left me and I headed to Victoria's locker. I have a feeling she'll say no to the bonfire tonight. She doesn't like being around my friends, especially because she's so shy. But if she says yes, I'm sure they'll welcome her to the group. Everyone except Fawn and Brittany.
I spotted Victoria at her locker grabbing her books. I walked up behind her and placed a quick kiss on her cheek.
"Hi." she said, turning to face me.
"So, there's this bonfire tonight." I started. "I was wondering if you'd like to go with me."
"A bonfire? For what?"
"Nothing special." I shrugged. "It's like a party, but only better."
"Uh, sure. I'll go. I've never been to a bonfire before."
"You're gonna love it."

After practice, I headed home to get ready for the bonfire. I'm a little on the fence about bringing Victoria to the bonfire. The fact that Fawn is going to be there complicates things. I don't want to put Victoria in her crosshairs.
"Daddy!" Sophie exclaimed when I walked through the door. She ran over to me and leaped in my arms. I picked her up and placed a kiss on her cheek. "I draw picture." she pointed to a sheet of paper sitting on the coffee table.
I put her down and she ran over to grab the paper. She then came to give it to me. I took and I examined it. In multiple different crayon colors, were me, Sophie, and my mom. Sophie was in between my mom and me, holding our hands.
"It's pretty." I said. "How about we put it on the fridge?"
"Yeah!" she clapped in agreement.
After putting Sophie's picture on the fridge, I went upstairs to dress for the bonfire tonight. I slipped on a pair of green swim trunks, a grey t-shirt, and flip flops. I hope Victoria knows to wear a swim suit.
My mind instantly became flooded with pictures of Victoria in a swim suit. I've never seen her wear one. Just thinking about it is getting me excited. It's sad that she doesn't know just how hot she is. I already know I'll have to fight some guys away from her tonight.
*Victoria*
I sat by the bonfire trying to keep warm. Aaron was goofing off with his friends. I watched him have fun with his friends. I never see this side of him. I've only seen the sweet, romantic, caring side of him. It shows that even though he's a father, he can still act like a normal teenager when he's out. Not many can do that.
He must have felt my gaze because he soon looked up at me. I gave him a small smile. He left his friends and came to sit next to me.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"Nothing." I smiled.
"Yes there is. I can see it on your face. Do you want to leave?"
"No, you're having fun."
"It's not about me. It's about you."
He looked at me with worry in his eyes. I sighed. I hate that look. Why does he have to care so much?
"I'm bored." I said truthfully.
"Come socialize with me." he took my hand and stood up, pulling me up with him.
He pulled me over to a small group of his friends. I felt my nerves kicking in. I moved closer to Aaron and fell behind a little.
"Guys, this is Victoria." he introduced. "Victoria, these are a couple of my friends. You already know Caleb. This is Connor, Jacob, Kyle, and John. They're all on the football team with me."
"It's nice to meet you." I said.
"So you're Aaron's new girlfriend." the guy named Connor said. "You're just as hot as he made you sound."
I felt my cheeks beginning to warm and lowered my head. Aaron let go of my hand to wrap his arm around my shoulders.
"You're welcome in our group." he said. "And don't worry about Fawn. She's a nuisance to everyone." I smiled. At least I'm not the only one who thinks so.
"We're going for a swim, want to join?" Aaron asked me.
"Uh, I don't know." I grabbed onto the hem of my shirt and tugged it down. I'm wearing a simple hot pink fringe halter top and hipkini. My mom picked my swim suit for me because I was too worried about showing so much skin. She gave it to me and forced me to wear it.
"You have a swim suit."
"Yeah, but..."
"We'll catch up." Aaron told his friends, and they headed towards the water. "What is it?" he asked me.
"Look at the other girls here. They actually look good in their swim suits. I'll look like chopped liver compared to them."
Aaron pulled me to him and met his lips with mine. He kissed me for a moment before pulling away.
"Don't worry about them. The only one you should think about seeing you in a swim suit, is me. And you know I'll never judge you on anything. Besides, you have a great body."
I began to blush again. How did I get so lucky to be with him? Sometimes I think it's too good to be true. I slipped off my shorts and t-shirt. I felt extremely exposed, but I remembered what Aaron said and set my mind to only care about him.
"Well if it isn't the couple that sickens me the most." Fawn said from behind us. We turned to face her. She wore a black triangle cutout top and black cutout hipkini. Of course she's able to fill our every part of her swim suit and pull it off. Her body is toned from cheering, unlike mine.
"Leave us alone Fawn." Aaron said, wrapping his arm around me and pulling me to his side.
"I'm not doing anything." she smirked. "Cute swim suit." she said sarcastically.
I lowered my head. I know I shouldn't let her words get to me, but I can't help it. She's superior to me.
"Is there something you need Fawn?" Aaron asked.
"Yeah, one of you on a platter." her smirk grew to a smile.
"Ignore her." Aaron said to me, taking my hand and leading me towards the water.
Before turning away from Fawn, I saw her glare at me. A feeling started in my stomach telling me that she's planning something bad for me in the near future.

I'm finally updating. I've been so exhausted and tied up with homework. It's getting rediculous now that it's at the end of my senior year. Anyway, tell me what you think about this chapter. Not much happens, but my goal is to have more cute moment for Vicky and Aaron. And I'm still looking for people to put on the character list, so any ideas?
Please comment, vote, and/or fan (follow). Thanks!! ;-)
