Chapter 5
*Victoria*
The clothes we found in the lost in found werenât that great. I ended up calling my mom to bring me clothes. Although class had started while I was still waiting, Aaron stayed and waited with me.
âYouâre going to get in trouble.â I told him. âYou should go to class.â
âNo, I want to wait with you. After all, this is my fault.â
âYou didnât pour coffee on me.â
âNo, but I provoked Fawn. I told her to leave you alone and that I would never have been interested in her. Fawn hates rejection. In her mind sheâs the perfect being. I promised you Iâd make her leave you alone, but I guess that was stupid.â
âAt least you tried. Thatâs all that matters.â
My mom walked into the office with a bag in her hands. When she looked at me she sighed.
âWho did this to you?â she asked me.
âNo one important.â I answered.
âLuckily I brought hair and makeup supplies too. Come one. Letâs get you all dolled up again.â
I followed my mom into the nearest bathroom and she rinsed my hair out in the sink. After drying my hair, I dressed in the clothes she brought. I slipped on a high waist black skirt that stopped at my mid thigh and a quarter sleeve burgundy crop top that clung to my body, meeting the top of the skirt. I slipped on the black lace up ankle boot heels she brought. I combed through my hair while she did my makeup.
After she was finished, I looked myself over in the bathroom mirror. When I thought I looked fine, I thanked my mom and gave her a hug.
âNow get to class.â she said before leaving.
I went to the office and found Aaron still waiting there for me. He looked up at me and his mouth dropped.
âWhat?â I asked him, looking down at my clothes. I thought I looked okay.
âI thought you looked hot before, but this outfit just changed my mind.â I smiled and felt the blush come to my cheeks. âLetâs get class.â
***
After school I met Aaron by the exit. He wants to start our date tonight as soon as school is over. I saw him walking towards me while talking to a friend. When he reached me, he took my hand in his.
âHi.â his friend said to me. âIâm Caleb, this guyâs best friend.â
âIâm Victoria.â
âMake sure he takes you on a good date. Sometimes he can get lazy.â
âIâm not going to football practice, but you are. Donât be late.â
âYeah, yeah, Iâm going.â
Caleb turned and walked back down the hall. Aaron lead me out to the parking lot and to his car. He opened the passenger door for me and I climbed in.
âWhere are we going?â I asked once he was in the car.
âItâs a surprise.â
âA surprise? Are we going somewhere special?â
âJust wait and see.â
After a while we pulled up at a park. A fair was set up. There were rides and carnival games set up.
âI didnât hear about this.â I said. âHow long has this been here for?â
âAbout two days. Letâs go.â
Aaron held my hand as we walked over to the carnival. The first thing he lead me to was a rollercoaster. I was about to tell him I donât like roller coasters, but before I could we were being seated inside the coaster. The coaster began and I grabbed onto Aaronâs shirt.
âWhatâs wrong?â he asked as the coaster took us higher to the drop.
âI hate roller coasters.â I told him.
âWhy didnât you say that before we got on.â
âThere was no time.â
We got to the top and there was a short pause before we dropped. I closed my eyes and held on to Aaronâs shirt tighter as I let out a scream. My stomach got that strange feeling that I hate.
*Aaron*
I looked at Victoriaâs terrified face as she gripped on to my shirt. Iâve never dated a girl who doesnât like roller coasters so I didnât think to ask her. I wrapped my arm around her and held her until the ride ended.
We got off the coaster and walked over to a nearby bench. She sat down and rest her head in her hands.
âIâm really sorry.â I apologized to her. âI should have asked you if you liked roller coasters.â
âItâs fine, just let me calm down a little.â
I feel so bad now. Our date just started and already Iâve screwed it up. Things were going so good between us and now I wouldnât be surprised if she was pissed at me.
âOkay, Iâm fine now.â she said, standing up.
âAre you sure?â
âYeah, I just hate the speed and I get a little sick. But Iâm fine now. Letâs go.â
She took my hand and lead me towards one of the carnival games. We started with a simple ring toss that we both sucked at. I swear that game is impossible.
âLook at that!â Victoria exclaimed, pointing to a giant fluffy stuffed dog. âI have to have it. Letâs play this game.â
She pulled me over to the booth and I saw the game was a ball toss where you had to knock down the stacked cups. I paid the man working the booth and he gave us each our own set of balls to throw.
By the time Victoria was finished, she had only managed to knock down half of stack. Luckily I knocked them all down before getting to the last ball. I pointed to the stuffed dog she wanted and the man working the booth handed it to me.
âHere.â I said to Victoria, handing the dog to her.
âThank you.â she smiled as she hugged the dog to her chest.
âItâs the least I could do.â
âIâm not mad about the roller coaster. You know that right? You didnât know.â
âI still feel bad.â
âWell donât. You won me this dog.â
I smiled and took her hand in mine. I lead her to the next ride which were the teacups. Girls usually like this ride, at least Sophie does. And itâs a lot less scary than a roller coaster.
âI love the teacups.â Victoria said with a smile.
âGood. Iâm glad I picked something right tonight.â

Soon it was night time and everything at the carnival was lit up. I pointed to the Ferris wheel and asked if she wanted to go on it.
âYouâre not afraid of heights are you?â
âOnly a little, but the Ferris wheel should be fun.â
We stood in line for a little bit until we finally got on. The Ferris wheel took us to the top and then we stopped. I watched Victoria as she looked at the lit carnival below us. She wore a huge smile on her face as she hugged the fluffy dog I won her close to her chest. Her long curly brown hair blew slightly in the breeze. I could see the happiness in her eyes and I smiled knowing that she was having a good time out with me.
âDo you know how beautiful you are?â I asked her.
She looked at me as though she couldnât believe what I had just said so I repeated myself.
âDo you know how beautiful you are?â
âI donât know what youâre talking about.â she said, looking at the ground and tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
âHow can someone with a body, face, and personality like yours not think theyâre beautiful on the inside and out?â
âYouâre just saying that.â she shook her head.
âI really do mean it. Youâre stunning and it bothers me that you donât think so.â
Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink as she played with her hair. I took her hand and moved closer to her. I intertwined our fingers.
âYou have beautiful hazel eyes.â I looked down at her lips. âBeautiful curly hair.â I leaned in closer. âAnd the most perfect lips.â I leaned in until our lips were almost brushing together. âAnd who wouldnât notice your perfect curves?â
Before I could, Victoria met her lips with mine. Her lips are so soft. Her lips moved perfectly in sync with mine. I skimmed her bottom lip with my tongue, asking for entrance. She hesitated for a moment before granting me access. She tastes even better than I expected she would. Something else to add on to her list of perfect things.
I placed my hands on her waist and deepened the kiss. She wrapped her arms around my neck. I felt the Ferris wheel begin to move again, but I didnât want to end the kiss yet. If it was possible Iâd kiss her all day. She tastes good, her lips are soft, and Iâve been waiting to do this.
The Ferris wheel took us around again and when we stopped at the top once more, I finally pulled away from her. I looked into her hazel eyes which were filled with lust.
âWas that as good for you as it was for me?â I asked her.
âMaybe even better.â she said.
The Ferris wheel brought us back to the bottom and we got off. I took Victoriaâs hand in mine.
âIâm hungry, what about you?â I asked her. She nodded.
We stopped by one of the concession stands to get our food. We then found a bench to sit on.
âThanks for taking me out tonight.â Victoria said. âIâm having a lot of fun so far.â
âEven after the roller coaster incident?â
âYes, even after the roller coaster incident. Which I donât blame you for.â
âThatâs only because youâre a sweetheart.â
Someone pushed me slightly from behind and I turned to see Caleb with a drink in his hand.
âHey, what are you doing here?â I asked him.
âI came with the guys. And just so youâre prepared, the girls are on their way here.â
âGreat.â I sighed. âThatâs the last thing I need.â
âHi Victoria, are you having fun?â Caleb asked her.
âI am.â Victoria answered with a smile. âHeâs being a real sweetheart.â
âGood. Let me know when he screws up. Iâll put him back in his place.â
âWill do.â she laughed.
*Victoria*
I like Caleb, heâs funny and he seems like a good friend to Aaron. But I donât see them hang out much. I wonder why that is.
âIâll see you guys later.â Caleb said before leaving. We both said goodbye to him as he left.
âHow long have you two been friends?â I asked Aaron.
âSince 2nd grade. Heâs like a brother to me.â
âThatâs sweet. I had a friend like that once, but she moved when I was little and it was hard to keep in touch.â
âIâm sorry. You know, thereâs still time to make a friend like that.â
âMaybe, but I think Iâll wait until college. Those friends seem to stick around longer that high school friends.â

After riding a couple more rides and playing a few more games, Aaron decided it was getting late and it was time for us to head home. Although the date started off a little bumping, I had a great time out with Aaron and I canât wait for the next time we go on a date or get to hang out.
âAaron!â a familiar voice called from behind us. We both turned to see Fawn with two of her friends flanked behind her. I checked her hands to make sure she wasnât carrying any drinks. Luckily she wasnât.
âHi Fawn.â Aaron greeted her with a sigh.
I could tell Aaron didnât want to be mean and tell Fawn to go away. Instead he was trying to be as nice as possible.
âI see youâre still taking out the trash.â Fawn said, looking at me and glaring. âI thought you would have moved on by now.â
âFawn, can we not start this right now? I just had an amazing night and I donât need you to ruin it.â
âRuin it? Once Iâve arrived, everything gets better. Everyone knows that.â
âWhatever, we have to go.â
Aaron took my hand tightly in his and pulled me away towards his car. Once there, he opened the passenger side door for me and I climbed in. After, he closed the door and walked around to climb into the drivers seat.
âI swear sheâs stalking me.â Aaron said as he started the car. âLately itâs been more difficult to get away from her. Youâre my girlfriend and I want to spend my time with you, not someone who canât get over their crush.â
âSheâll leave us alone eventually. Sheâll get bored with us and move on.â
âThatâs what I was hoping but it seems like itâs turned into an obsession with her.â
Aaron drove back to the school so I could get my car. He pulled right beside my car and put the car in park.
âEven though the date started off a little rocky,â I started. âI still had a great time tonight.â
âLet me know when we can hang out again.â
âI have your number.â I smiled.
He leaned in and met his lips with mine. I instantly remembered back to our first kiss on the Ferris wheel. It was like a dream. Iâve never kissed someone who tastes that good or has lips that soft. And the way our lips moved in sync was magical.
This time is almost as good. He tastes so good that itâs almost hypnotizing. I canât believe I waited this long. I was missing out.
Aaron pulled away and I internally frowned. Why did he have to do that? We couldâve gone on for much longer.
âAs much as I hate to end this date, itâs getting late and we have school tomorrow. Iâd hate to cut into your beauty sleep.â
âHow sweet of you.â I said sarcastically with a smile. âGoodnight. Iâll see you tomorrow.â
I gave Aaron one last quick kiss before climbing out of his car and hopping into my own. Aaron waved goodbye before he drove off.
I drove home with a smile on my face. So far there hasnât been a single bad date with Aaron. Heâs always entertaining, Iâm never bored when Iâm around him. Heâs also one of the sweetest people I know.
And even when Iâm sure he has other things to do, heâs always willing to work around my busy schedule just to spend time with me. Heâs the most popular guy in school, and captain of the football and basketball team, yet he drops all that just to be with me.
Iâve never felt this strongly about a guy, especially one Iâve only known for a short time. Every little thing he does makes me fall for him. Every word that comes out of his mouth has me wrapped more and more around his finger. Iâm falling for Aaron hard and to be honest, itâs scary.
I donât want us to move too fast. I donât want us to get ahead of ourselves. But the way I feel about him makes want to be around him any time I can. I want to know everything about him. I want to know what his flaws are, if there are any.
Iâve always been focused on work and my studies that Iâve never imagined myself finding someone like Aaron that I care about so much. Aaron came out of nowhere and Iâm glad he did. Iâm falling for him hard and something tells me that before I know it, Iâll be in love.â

I finally get this updated. I've been working on it every night, but I've been so tired lately that I always fall asleep. But here it is and hopefully you enjoyed it. Tell me what you think of Victoria's and Aaron's relationship so far.
