“ Are you sure about this?" Liam asked me as he held my hand in encouragement.

“ If I wasn't sure I wouldn't be here," I said with a smile.

“ You have nothing to worry about, trust me," I said,

“ Fine," he said,

“ Miss Frederick we're so excited that you accepted to be here, you have no idea," the president said and I smiled at her,

“ I'm honored for the invitation," although I've rejected many over the years.

“ Thank you, uhm the interviewer would do a little introduction and then you'll join her on camera, how's that?" She said,

“ Excellent," I said with a smile,

“ Great," she said before she signaled the interviewer and she started.

“ Hello ladies and gentlemen, welcome to another beautiful day in the city of Texas, we survived yesterday we will survive today, and to spice up your day, we bring you something special, I'm sure you all are gonna love this. I'm sure you all are aware of one of the leading perfume company we have in the world and their special perfume ‘The Veil of Mist,’ and we've heard over the years that there is a secret hand behind the glorious scent and today, we bring you that secret, ladies and gentlemen before I introduce this wonderful person, I want you all to know that this person is a source of inspiration to me and a lot of people out there, the world doesn't need to know you for you to do exploit, joining me right now is our esteemed guest Miss Anna Rose Frederick,” the interviewer finally said and I saw it as my cue to join her.

I walked to the couch she was sitting on and took a seat beside her.

“ Hello,” I said to her as I turned to the camera and waved.

“ We're so honored to have you here," The interviewer said with a smile,

“ So everyone watching would like you to do a little introduction of yourself," she said and I chuckled as I looked straight at the camera.

“ Hello everyone my name is Anna, Anna Rose Frederick, I'm the face behind The Veil of Mist,” I said before turning to look at the interviewer.

That wasn't so hard, saying those few sentences felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders.

“ Thank you, so moving forward, what was your inspiration to create this special perfume we all love? I'm wearing mine right now,” she said and I smiled,

" I can smell it on you,” she made a cute face as if telling the people watching ‘I told you so’

" So to answer your question, you know I never really knew I had a thing for perfumes, creating new scents and all. Back then when my family perfume business just started I wasn't really interested, I'd help them on a few occasions and all until I moved to Texas. I just wanted to explore, I love my parents so much because they never forced me to do what they do, instead they let me find what I wanted, find peace with myself, it's like they eventually knew that the scents would draw me,” I said,

" That's interesting, they knew you'd come back to your roots,” the interviewer said,

" You can say that,” I said,

" I'm just a little curious and I'm sure everyone else is, why call it The Veil of Mist, your family company have other perfumes like Serein Elixir, Fleur Noire, Essenza Mystique, and then we have The Veil of Mist, why did you decide to call it that?” she asked,

" Well, apart from the fact that the creator was a mystery, The Veil of Mist is that mysterious scent you have that allures someone to you and vice versa, it's like they've perceived this scent somewhere and yet they don't know where, it's just the allure it has when you use it that made me call it that, with that perfume, you always leave a mark. The Veil of Mist has over fifty different scents so you'll always be surprised,” I said as the interviewer brought her wrist to her nose and I couldn't help but laugh.

" I see…" she said while nodding her head…" I must say that you're an amazing person.”

" Thank you,” I said,

" You said you were in Texas and you wanted to find yourself?...” She asked and I nodded… “ What made you realize you needed to go back home?" At that question, I tensed as my hands became sweaty but I quickly composed myself, it's all in the past.

“ Life taught me that you can't really run away from family, you'd always need them at one point so I went back home, and that's it?” I said,

" Did you guys hear that? You can't run away from family, no matter how hard you try,” she said and I nodded in affirmation.

“ Last but not the least, what are you most grateful for?" The interviewer asked,

" I'd say family again and the pain from life,” I said,

" You're grateful for the pain of life?” she asked and I nodded.

“ It taught me to be stronger,” I said,

" Wow, be grateful for the pain too, I've learnt something,” she said and I smiled,

“ We all know that everyone at one point in their lives must have gone through a type of pain that only they can understand, but they came out stronger ready to face the world. What is that thing you came out of, from ashes to the Phoenix?" she asked.

For a moment I just let my mind wander to that dark side, the place that hunts me, makes me feel like I was the worst person in the world, like I wasn't doing enough. Not many people knew about this pain, maybe if I shared it with the world I'd feel less heavy, maybe if the world came together and helped me I'd find my Andrew.

“ Four years ago…” I stopped as I took deep breaths. The interviewer quickly handed me a handkerchief and I thanked her as I wiped my tears.

" Four years ago, I was in the hospital to give birth to my child, for the first time in my life, I and everyone in my family were excited to see him and then I brought him to the world, I held him just once and that was it,” I said,

" I'm so sorry, did he lose his life?” she asked but I shook my head,

" No, no, someone stole him from the hospital and till date I don't know where he is, I don't know where Andrew is,” I said as I wiped my tears… “ I'm so sorry guys, I didn't plan to be this emotional,"

“ It's okay, we're humans. So ladies and gentlemen, I'm sure you learnt something from our special guest today, well, that will be all, see you tomorrow, same time, same station, have a lovely day,” the interviewer said and I just waved to end the show.

As soon as I was off camera, Liam and the television president came to me.

“ Are you okay?" Liam asked and I nodded,

“ Yeah I just needed to get that off my chest," I said with a small smile as I wiped my tears.

“ Okay," he said,

“ If it's not a bother, I have an invitation for an event tonight, will you be willing to come with me? Just a celebration dinner," the President said,

“ I'll think about that and it also depends on how fast I can find a dress," I said and she laughed,

“ That's alright,"

I walked out of the building as I got into the car, my mind clouded with so many thoughts but the one that stood out was;

Will I ever find my son?
