Walking into the house, Ariana took out her tablet, found a photo of Sadie, and zoomed in on it.

As she and Sonia talked it over and dug deeper, Ariana was flooded with thoughts.

She was trying to pick out any trace of the faces she knew in Sadie’s features.

Why had she thought of Helen of all people?

“Why aren’t you saying anything?” Sonia’s voice came from the phone, snapping Ariana out of her thoughts.

“Helen Clarke.

Do you still remember her?” Ariana asked.

“Of course.

That crazy woman left a deep impression on me.

I mean… She’s not crazy enough to be admitted into a mental hospital, but her actions are really beyond what you can consider normal,” Sonia said.

“Think about it.

Sadie acts as crazy as Helen sometimes,” Ariana said.

Sonia fell silent, only speaking up again after a couple of seconds.

“That is true… They are indeed similar.

There might be a possibility that they are the same person.

”

But after a pause, she added, “Ariana, we have to be sure.

They are a bit similar, yes, but the idea is just too crazy.

We also don’t have any evidence.

What if we’re wrong? Besides, Helen has disappeared for five years.

There’s a possibility that she’s dead.

And even if she’s not, she wouldn’t dare to come back, would she?”

Ariana stared at the photo on the tablet.

“That’s what makes this more strange.

“Think about it.

Do you really think Helen is someone who’d give up easily if she were still alive?” Ariana said as her eyes never left the photo of Sadie.

“I guess you’re right, but…” Sonia began.

Ariana quickly cut her off, “Plus, I met Sadie at the hospital last time.

She has a heart disease just like Helen.

”

“What? That’s crazy Sonia’s voice grew louder.

“These similarities are way too shady!”

Ariana took a long, deep breath and put the tablet aside.

“We need to take things slowly and not just jump to conclusions.

You’re right.

We don’t have any evidence yet; we can’t just randomly accuse her.

”

“Where exactly should we start finding evidence, though? Sadie almost never lets her guard down,” Sonia said.

Ariana thought for a few seconds.

“I need to find a way to Learn what she looked like before she had plastic surgery.

Once I know that, everything will be clear.

“Right.

Finding that out isn’t going to be easy though.

If she’s actually Helen, she must have made sure all the evidence was destroyed,” Sonia replied.

After discussing that for a few more minutes, Ariana and Sonia decided that it was best to start with the plastic surgery hospital.

“I’ll keep an eye on Sadie while you try to get information from that doctor,” Sonia said.

Ariana agreed and ended the call.

She then looked at the plan hanging on the wall.

She had to go to the furniture market to buy stuff for the office, so she left the house.
