With evident anger, Ariana added, âThe team said they couldnât adjust the schedule for the next delivery, so they dumped the stuff here and left.
I was about to get more people to help when that man demanded I remove everything immediately, or the security would toss the things all out, me included.
â
Ariana was just quoting the manager word for word.
Upon hearing this, Holdenâs expression turned grim, and he shot the manager an angry Look.
The lobby manager trembled, quickly bowing, nodding, and apologizing desperately.
Holden fixed his gaze on him and spoke icily.
âI donât remember our company policy being so strict as to bar anyone from using the lobby.
Besides, they have access to the underground parking lot.
â
The lobby manager, sweating profusely, continued to apologize to Ariana.
However, Ariana dismissed him and said, âThis is an issue within your company.
Iâll stay out of it.
â
Holden then commanded the manager in a firm voice, âGo to the HR department and see to your own disciplinary action.
And move these items to the adjacent building yourself.
Donât expect help from anyone else.
â
The lobby manager froze, looking at the pile of things behind Ariana.
He smiled wryly and said, âMr.
Fredrick, there are too many things here.
How can I move them all by myself?â
Holden sneered and countered, âYou, a grown man, know you canât carry them.
So, why did you make her do it?â
He looked at the pile of things and added, âEither you move them out of here, or you leave the company.
Your choice.
â
The lobby manager got even more flustered.
His job here was great.
And he knew the company wouldnât find it hard to immediately get someone to replace him.
He really didnât want to lose his job.
But it was impossible for him to move all these things alone.
Left with no choice, the lobby manager looked at Ariana, bowed his head, and apologized.
He hoped she would help him.
Ariana also didnât want the lobby manager to lose his job.
So, she held Holdenâs hand and said, âForget it.
He wonât be able to finish moving these things all by himself even after midnight.
The workers I hired will be here soon, anyway.
They can do the job with no trouble at all.
â
As she spoke, the workers she had called arrived.
Holden ignored the lobby manager.
He only asked him to help move the things and sent another ten people to help.
Ariana wanted to help, too.
However, Holden grabbed her shoulders and led her to his exclusive elevator.
Ariana was taken aback for a moment.
âHey, what are you doing?â She struggled with a frown.
âWhere are you taking me? I have things to do.
â
Holden wouldnât let her leave and said, âLeave everything to them.
I think Randell is quite reliable.
â
Randell overheard this, and he immediately flattered Holden.
He shouted from behind him, âLeave things to me! I promise I will take care of everything.
â
Ariana felt resigned.
Before she could say anything, Holden had already pulled her into his exclusive elevator.
